Think of one thing you can do today to turn your grey skies blue.
Be your own light of hope.
No one can save you but YOU – please read that one again.
Life can knock you down a thousand times, and it probably will. But the most important thing is for you to never accept that failure is forever.
Failure is not a word that I like to ever use, because I choose not to believe in it. I much prefer to put a positive spin on things not going your way.
Where you tried, celebrate your efforts for giving it a go. I am sure there are many valuable lessons that you took away from the experience. You might have gained a better perspective on life or achieved clarity.
If you went for it and then decided it wasn’t for you – I salute you!
My favourite time of day to write poems is very early in the morning or very late at night – when everything is much quieter around me.
I often dream of sitting in my ideal beach house writing poems on the ocean view balcony, whilst watching the sunrise or sunset – I plan to be doing this sometime in the future.
I therefore dedicate today’s poem to the dreams of tomorrow that I visualise today and what a wonderful feeling it truly is.
SWEET SUNRISE SUBLIME
The sun it rises, glistening so bright, it patiently waited, goodbye to goodnight.
It’s warmth is tender, a magical glow, out to the horizon, blue ocean below.
I stare at it softly, with hypnotic eyes, how blessed I am, an amazing sunrise.
It gives me energy, feelings of delight, awakening the world, happy and bright.
Thank you dear sunrise, you make me feel good, a whole day with you, uplifts every mood.
No matter the weather, you always shine blue skies or rainbows, sweet sunrise sublime.
MY SWEET SWEET MEMORIES FROM THE LATE 70S & EARLY 80S
You could leave your house door open during the night;
You could go for an early sole run in the park with no fear;
You would chat outside to your next door neighbour for hours;
No one carried a mobile phone and everyone coped fine;
Children played in large groups outside after school;
Local playgrounds were filled with children, without the need for parents being there;
Children used their imagination and played ‘made up’ games with their friends;
You only had one true best friend but it was called a ‘best pal’;
We didn’t have a landline at home and no one really cared;
All family dinners were home made;
A holiday was going on family day trips to the closest seaside location;
There was only three TV channels and we felt spoiled for choice;
If you could afford a taxi, you were rich;
If you missed the bus, you had to wait another hour on the next one;
Those tiny bronze half pence pieces existed and you felt you had loads of money;
Children would jump for joy with a 10 pence mix up;
Children played water fights during the summer holidays with empty washing up liquid bottles;
Everyone in the community knew each other and looked out for each other;
Hardly anyone had a car;
Getting a 50 pence toy from the local shop, felt like Christmas;
The milkman delivered your glass bottles of milk on your front door step every morning;
As children, we played, football rounders, hide and seek, skipping ropes, kick the can, hopscotch, obstacle courses, sprint races, tennis, swingball, talent shows…and all outdoors!
My Dad, Grans, Granda, Aunties, Uncle, Godmother and some good School Pals were all living back then – now sadly missed . . . . . . oh how I remember when!

I’m going to make every Thursday on this blog “POETRY CORNER”. The reason being, I really LOVE writing poetry, especially with a positive spin on it or words that showcase a deep sense of inner wisdom.
So today I share with you Poetry Corner #1:
Being YOU
To feel alive, fresh and true, steal the show, by being YOU.
Never let, a negative voice, hold you back, or change your choice.
For you are special, one of a kind, uniquely passionate, with a genius mind.
So set your sail, to better lands, where your dreams, are in your hands.
With its twists and turns,
and turbulent times,
with its happy memories,
and sweet sublimes.
Life is colour,
and vibrant throughout,
Life is beautiful,
it's all about.
With its songs of mercy,
and praise in between,
with its dance of joy,
and what has been.
Life is precious,
and tender in touch,
Life is magical,
I love it so much.
Do not try to be loved,
for that force never wins,
opening up your heart,
is where attraction begins.
Do not try to be wanted,
for this wonderful you,
is unique and special,
for the right person too.
Do not try to be liked,
for you have it all,
talented and beautiful,
this is your call.
Do not try to be something,
you never want to be,
always stay you,
enjoy being "me".

What is love,
without surprise,
a caring thought,
heartfelt eyes.
What is kindness,
without the giving,
touching lives,
soulful living.
What is forgiveness,
without a prayer,
sharing you,
unique and rare.
What is gratitude,
without the knowing,
a thankful bond,
a miracle glowing.
What is here,
without your presence,
healing time,
your very essence.

Oceans run deep
waves rush through
time is of the essence
beneath the sky so blue.
A thought on hold
may change your ways
igniting your spirit
to happier days.
Beauty embraces
energetic light
forever inspiring
enchanting the night.
Hope in your heart
unlocks your mind
captivating magic
you're one of a kind.
I encourage you to welcome the quiet moments in your life, they really are special time for you, they really to calm the mind and rest the soul…..this poem was written in one of those quiet moments, enjoy.
A Quiet Moment
A quiet moment,
A silent thought.
Takes me to the top,
Unties the knot.
A puzzling question.
Lost in the cave.
Like surfers on the beach.
Enticing the wave.
A drifting mind,
Hides the heart.
Express your passion,
Make a start.
Creativity reveals,
The best part of you.
This is your purpose,
Make it come true.
Such beauty is everywhere, stop for a moment, take a look, it’s there you know, can you see it? Can you feel it, yes, it’s definitely there. Enjoy your inner beauty, let it sparkle in everything that you do.

You bring me great joy,
Because you visit me,
One day may I step foot,
In your beautiful country.
I am thanking all the people from all the countries all over the world who have visited this Clarabelle blog. I have done thank you poems for USA, India and Canada so far and today I thank all you lovely people from Romania. This one is for you:
Welcome Romania
Welcome Romania,
To my blog.
In my wheel of life,
You are a cog.
You brighten my days,
Bring warmth to me.
My Romanian friends,
You set me free.
Let me tell you something, I was thinking about this, only this evening. If you’re looking for the end, if you’re wanting the process to “hurry up” then whatever it is that you are doing, may not be for you.
I write to you, everyday I write, I never look for the ending, I never think, when is this piece of writing going to end. The reason being is that I love it so much, love never wants to end, it’s continuous it’s unbreakable, the bond only gets stronger.
So if you’re looking into the distance and questioning, when will you get there…….maybe you have to change the question…….and if you have to change the question, then I guess you already know the answer.
Never ever will I stop writing to you, because even when my soul has passed on to another dimension, my spirit still shines in you, the reader and this then inspires you…..and the light continues to shine on.
You may only be one candle, but this one candle, has the power to light up the Universe.
Please remember how empowering you can be.
Light up your world and you light up the world of everyone around you.
Come into your own light today and express the real you. Let go of all fears that prevent you from moving forward. Embrace each new person into your life with warmth, smiles and kindness. When you see someone struggling, give them a piece of your light, it will make you sparkle even more.
It’s only a matter of time for your vision to come alive. Â First you feel it in your heart, then you see it in your imagination, then you feel it moving in your bones and then it dances throughout your body….and only when it has flowed through all of those stages, only then it begins to take form.
It starts with one word, one step, one piece of the 100,000 piece jigsaw puzzle but it doesn’t matter how long it takes, because you know “your calling” is going to make it. Â Listen to me my friend, it’s only a matter of time……because it is in silence of faith that dreams can be awakened.
So can I relate to the above? Â Yes, you’ve got it, of course I can. Â Almost 6 years ago, I was kind of laughed at because I said at the very start of my business that I was going to have my own books, my very own positive book range……I just knew what they were thinking, their faces said it all, but you know I BELIEVED, I really believed in me, I always do and sometimes I get off track but I always get back there, back to where I need to be.
I sit here today looking at my first Amazon paperback book,”Clarabelle’s Musings”, sitting on my home office desk and I am smiling with pure joy, excitement and adoration of what I see before me……for my heart is sitting on this table, my heart is painted on the pages of this book, making its way to you.
So if you believe like I believed in me, when other people laughed at what I wanted to achieve for myself, may my own story inspire you to keep going my friend…..6 days, 6 months, 6 years, you’re going to make it…..it’s only a matter of time.
On your journey of life, don’t forget to watch the morning sunrise. There is just something about a stunning morning sunrise that just puts you in real awe of the moment. Tomorrow morning, I urge you to wake up early in time to watch the beautiful morning sunrise and in that moment remember how you feel.
I am thinking about someone, they make me smile, they make me think of sunny days, love and laughter, they make me feel young. Â Here is a little poem by me, to brighten up your day.
Thoughts of You
Good morning sunshine,
Let me take hold of you.
Your smile is so pretty,
Your eyes are so blue.
Your spirit is happy,
A magical one.
Breathe light on my path,
And energetic fun.
You make me smile,
Forever this way.
The sweetest thoughts of you,
Are with me today
I was thinking today about some of the beautiful places I have travelled to, here are 10 of my happy memories:
1. Â Watching the morning sun rise at the Top of the Empire State Building, New York City, USA
2. Â Watching the Sunset at the top of Table Mountain, Cape Town, South Africa
3. Â Bowling with school friends in Valkenburg, Holland
4. Â Watching the Dancing Fountains outside the Burj Kalifa, Dubai, UAE
5. Â Partying and having much fun with friends in Las Vegas, USA
6. Â Relaxing in the outside spas of The Blue Lagoon in Iceland
7. Â Having a lovely evening dinner outside in a family restaurant in Asolo, Italy
8. Â Riding on the back of a motorbike as the sun was setting heading into Venice, Italy
9. Watching a young couple get married and happily parading down the street in Mahdia, Tunisia
10. Â Partying with friends at the Tartan Army Week in New York City, USA
These are just some of the wonderful memories from places I have been so lucky enough to have travelled to over the years, yes, I am very lucky indeed.
I am in a poetic mood this morning, this one is for you, take it all in and just “Breathe”.
Breathe
Breathe in life,
energy from the sun.
Breathe in hope,
memories have begun.
Breathe in faith,
beauty of your heart.
Breathe in love,
the last jigsaw part.
Breathe in you,
Breathe in me.
Breathe in together.
Breathe in we.
Some photographs just say it all, they speak to you from within. Â A friend from Facebook shared this stunning photograph with me today and I just had to share it with you. Â Wishing you a beautiful day and may you sparkle in the sunshine. Lots of love, Clarabelle.
You have a beautiful heart, let it shine today, let it radiate amongst others and cultivate happiness within you. Â This next poem is for you, for you are indeed so very beautiful. Love Clarabelle
Where is the Beauty?
Where is the beauty?
Where does it go?
Here comes the dancing,
Here comes the show.
Open your eyes,
Let the world in.
Open your heart,
And forever you’ll win.
Time is so precious,
Treasure it well.
Believe in your talents,
They’re a magical spell.
For the beauty is in you,
It goes with your heart.
Today I am going to go on a day trip to Balmaha Bay, Balloch, Scotland with my mum and during that trip I am going to be “snap happy” as I will be taking some beautiful photos for my new eBook that’s coming out, “It’s All About Gratitude”. Â I am excited about doing this and it will also be really lovely to spend a day with my mum.
I love Balmaha Bay, for me it is a place of deep beauty and peaceful tranquility and sometimes this is just what the doctor ordered.  🙂
In 2011 I wrote a poem about Balmaha, I have already shared it on this blog before, but here it is again, just in case you missed it first time round:
A frozen Balmaha Lake January 2011
Sweet Balmaha Bay
Balmaha, an inspiring place,
Oh how I love, your beautiful face.
The silent lake, speaks many words,
A magical paradise, beneath the flight of birds.
My soul’s at home, when I visit you,
I feel at one, below the sky so blue.
As I tie a yellow ribbon, around the old oak tree,
I appreciate your world, for all to see.
The air is clean, fresh and new,
The shimmering sunlight, makes a stunning view.
And the many boats, who sail in leisure,
Uplifting spirits, you provide great pleasure.
In hail or rain, sunshine or snow,
Your tranquil beauty, will always show.
For the depths of your heart, are in everyone,
Sweet Balmaha Bay under the horizon sun.
 Poem By Clarabelle, 2011
Wherever you go today and whatever you do, I do hope it brings you sweet happiness and fulfillment, much love to you Clarabelle.  🙂
Since January last year I have been making a lot of changes in my life, the inner changes came first and then the outer changes started to happen.  I decided that before I made any outer changes I ensured I was happy on the inside first, so I did a lot of work on my “soul development” and I truly feel more like,well, “me”. 🙂
One of the changes that I wanted to make and was genuinely excited to make, was changing my hair colour from black to blonde and I want to share with you a photo of the transformation process (below). Â I love my new blonde look, it hasn’t made me any happier from within because I was already happy but it has given me a renewed and re-energised feeling – “out with the old and in with the new” and I feel really great.
Clarabelle’s New Blonde Look
I love my hairdresser, I think she did a really great job as it has been a long process to get there over a 6 week period, thank you Yvonne Lennon Holton and such a great friend too.
What do you think of my new blonde look?
Inside Changes
I want you to think about this, before you make any external changes in your life think about how happy you feel first on the inside. Â I urge you to make the inside changes first and then you know that any external changes you make after that, will be an added bonus to your already happy self.
Wishing you a day filled with inner happiness and contentment, lots of love to you today, Clarabelle.
You are really special, I want you to know that, yes YOU, yes you are, you are so very special, always believe that, always know that because you are.  Here is a little poem just for you 🙂  Love Clarabelle
Where is tomorrow
Where is tomorrow?
To brighten up my soul
Where is the light?
To help me see my goal
My friend I want to tell you
Don’t put your life on hold
Tomorrow waits for no one
Today you really are pure gold

I was listening to positive affirmations this morning by Louise Hay and one of the things she said really stuck with me, she said “give out that which you wish to receive”. Â Wow, I feel this is so true, the more beauty you give out to this Universe the more it will come back to you – like a boomerang that has picked up more goodness along the way. Here is a wee poem just about that, hopefully it will help you to think about what postive changes you want to make in your life. Â Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle.
You Get What You Give
You get what you give
So give a lot
You receive what you think
Look at what you’ve got
If you want to change all
You know what to do
Because Heart, mind and emotions
These feelings become true
