Thee Perfect Christmas

Share the best of you always

For me, Christmas is all about family and enjoying special quality time with them.

It’s the simple things over the Christmas period that can bring the greatest joy.

Things like going for a walk in the countryside, playing good old fashioned board games and enjoying a warm cup of hot chocolate whilst laughing and talking with the family.

A magical Christmas is in these miracle moments and, in my eyes, there is no fancy gift that could really replace that specialness.

Be mindful this Christmas to stay present in each precious moment rather than focussed on the presents at the bottom of the Christmas tree.

The New Year is nearly upon us, so why not use the Christmas holidays to think about creating your perfect year ahead then move into the “doing” zone on 1 January 2023.

Share the best of you, always!

On This Christmas Morn

Missing you at Christmas

on-this-christmas-morn

On This Christmas Morn

She looked out of the window,
on Christmas Day.
She remembered her past,
a time to pray.

For now she is older,
she is eighty three,
and sits alone,
there’s no “you and me”.

She had a love,
a husband that cared,
They loved Christmas,
everything was shared.

But he passed away,
She remembers his smile,
and them dancing in the snow.

She isn’t sad,
she doesn’t feel lonely.
She is grateful for this life,
and her one and only.

She misses him much,
he’s always in her thoughts,
On Christmas morn,
He’d say “I love you lots”.

She awaits her carriage,
her wonderful son.
Who is so special,
he looks after his mum.

Today she is part of,
a family filled with joy.
With 4 happy grandchildren,
3 girls and a boy.

She loves them dearly,
they are her life.
A special Gran, a loving mother,
and in her heart a happy wife.

She tells them stories,
of times gone by.
She laughs with her grandchildren,
and enjoys a mince pie.

She feels amazing,
so precious and true,
To my hubby in heaven,
I will always love you.

Christmas Miracle

What are your three Christmas Miracle wishes? This Christmas Hymn is versed especially for you.

Christmas Miracle

I feel a Christmas Miracle,
in the air,
I feel its magic,
so special and rare.
I feel in my heart,
it’s on its way.
I feel this miracle,
is here to stay.

There’s a miracle in you,
and everyone.
Christmas spirit is alive
and filled with fun.
Cradle in your arms,
love from within.
Your inner spark creates,
This Christmas Hymn.

Pray in the snow,
Frosty feet on the ground.
Know that your miracle,
Plays softly around.
Christmas is joyous,
The Angels are here,
To grant your 3 wishes,
And bring you happiness all year.

Missing at Christmas

Are you missing anyone very special this Christmas? I am, I am really missing someone right now and I won’t be with him this Christmas but I will be with him. every Christmas after that.

I try not to feel too sad about it because there isn’t anything I can do to change the situation this Christmas, so I keep my mind focused on all the other beautiful Christmas times we will have together. I also put lots of focus on what I do have to be thankful for in my life right now and there is a lot, a massive amount actually.

When I am having thoughtful “I am grateful” moments, I feel at peace, I feel inner happiness, serenity and very blessed. So if you are missing someone right now and they can’t be with you for whatever reason, think of what you do have in your life, right now and think of the blessing that is also you.

Love Clarabelle

A Christmas Prayer

Here is a beautiful Christmas prayer for you. Christmas blessings to you this Christmas time.

A Christmas Prayer

May Christmas bless,
all you are,
People at home
and afar.
May love and warmth,
Be with you,
May all your family,
Be there too.
May good times smile,
on your heart,
May prayers of hope,
Give you a fresh start.
I pray for you,
In candlelight.
I pray for you,
This Christmas night.

Mr and Mrs Snowman

A little Christmas festive poem to you from me. May Christmas spirit rejoice in your heart forever.

Mr and Mrs Snowman

There was a competition,
Whose snowman was the best.
All the villagers took part,
This was a frosty test.

Snowmen of different sizes,
Displayed a smiley face.
They stood there icy proud,
In this marshmallow place.

But one thing that stood out,
Oh so very clear.
Was all of the snowmen,
Were alone this Christmas Year.

How can you build a snowman,
All alone in this town.
That’s not very fair,
His heart will have a frown.

No snowman should be lonely,
At this Christmas time.
They should be with another,
Sharing mistletoe and wine.

Then in the corner,
A house on a quiet spot.
Had two snowmen standing,
Beside a tiny tot.

Why do you have two,
Snowmen standing tall?
One is a lady she said,
Both going to the snowman ball.

Oh little one,
How beautiful that is.
Mr and Mrs Snowman,
Can share a Christmas kiss.

See them holding hands,
She whispers in the air
Mr and Mrs Snowman,
Now have each other to care.

The people they all smiled,
For indeed their hearts did melt.
This little bundle of joy,
Revealed feelings they never felt.

You are the winner,
A snowman trophy goes to you.
You ignited Christmas spirit,
Removing lonely by building two.

Thank you she said,
This is a happy day.
Now we’re all happy together,
Like one big family.

Mr and Mrs Snowman,
Were built to live together.
May the story of who made them,
Live in your heart forever.

Best Memories in 2014

Better Memories in 2014

It’s good to reflect on the past year, What did you learn? Who did you meet that you didn’t know before? What were your best moments of 2013?  This next New Year poem is all about those reflections and taking the best memories and making even better memories in 2014.  Lots of love to you for a prosperous and very Happy New Year, love Clarabelle.

2014

Reflect on the year gone by,
Think of the lessons and why.
What was the best time of all?
What made you smile and break down the wall?
Who made it memorable, just for you?
Who held your hand, when you were feeling blue?
This year will soon go to bed,
And 2014 will raise its happy head.
So I wish you good fortune and beautiful days.
As 2013 fades into the haze.

Happy New Year

Success

Happy New Year Poem

I hope you had the most beautiful Christmas Day and that you are feeling very grateful for the loved ones you have in your life right now.  Christmas is over for another year and I want to now shift focus on this blog to celebrating the abundance that is coming to you in the new year ahead.

Make 2014 your best year yet, I know you can, just decide and do it.  This next poem is a lovely Happy New Year Poem created by the super talented Maureen Turner.  Maureen has shared some lovely poems on this blog with us before and it is a real pleasure to have her back.  Thank you to Maureen for sharing your poetry with us, we love you for it.

Happy New Year

The end of the year,
is just close by,

So let’s raise a glass,
and end it on a high.

Did it all go according to plan,
or did it end, just as it began?

The hopes, the dreams you made for the year,
did they come true or are they still here?

So let’s look forward to 2014,
stick to your plan and follow your dream.

Be happy and healthy, stay strong and be clear,
and do whatever you can, to make it a successful  year.

What’s So Special About Christmas Day?

Merry Christmas

A Very Merry Christmas To You

A very Merry Christmas to you, may today bring endless love to your heart, treasured dreams to your soul and forever happiness to your beautiful spirit.  Whatever is going on in your life today, put any sadness on hold for the next 24 hours and let love, fun and laughter swell your heart with gratitude and the magic of Christmas.  Today is filled with many miracles, they are surrounding you right now on this Christmas Day, close your eyes, open your heart and feel them.  Christmas Day is so very special and so are you, believe that and let your heart smile inside.

What’s So Special About Christmas Day?

What’s so special, about Christmas Day?
Why all the hype? I hear you say.
Why celebrate, on the 25th of December?
Why is this date, one to remember?

I’ll tell you what Christmas, means to me,
It’s a day filled with love, to spend with family.
A time to rejoice and have faith in all good,
A time for unity, in your neighbourhood.

Christmas will come, and Christmas will go,
But to ignore this present, is like a heart with no glow.
Because Christmas is a gift, so special and true,
It’s like falling in love, the bond needs no glue.

So breathe in life, on this Christmas morn,
Smile through any heartache, be glad you are born.
Believe you are loved, forever and a day.
You are held in many hearts, as Angels pray.

And the candle that burns, is shining so bright,
Sending you warmth, like a healing light.
Unwrapping your heart, melting the freeze.
Breaking the chains, with a soft gentle breeze.

Capture this day, let the memories free you soul,
A new year is dawning, where you’ll reach every goal.
So celebrate early, rejoice this Christmas Day,
Have faith and believe, only good is coming your way.

On This Christmas Eve

Christmas in New York

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve has fallen upon us, may you have the sweetest love of others around you this Christmas time.  Day 24 and I share with you this next Christmas Poem, “On This Christmas Eve”, I hope you enjoy. Christmas love to you today, Clarabelle.

On This Christmas Eve

Do I hear Santa outside my house?

He’s very noisy, not quiet like a mouse.

I hear his footsteps, in the snow,

I hear him sing, ho, ho, ho.

I hope he thinks, that I’m asleep,

I tried counting sheep, like little Bo’ peep.

But excitement and fun, took over me,

I do love you Santa, please let me see.

I want to give you, a great big hug,

I want to tell you, I’ve left milk in your mug.

I want to sleigh ride, high in the sky,

Waving down at the snowmen, as we pass by.

My dearest Santa, you bring great joy,

To every family, and little girl and boy.

You make me smile, on this Christmas Eve,

Can you stay Santa?  Please don’t leave.

I’ve got lots to tell you, for I’ve been good,

Please don’t eat the carrots, that’s Rudolph’s food.

I put a gift, under the Christmas tree

It’s for you Santa, especially from me.

I’ll Never Stop Missing You

Christmas Candle

The Eve of Christmas Eve

Welcome to the eve of Christmas Eve and Day 23 of sharing a Christmas Poem with you. We all miss loved ones at Christmas who can’t be with us but they are always on our minds, even more so at this time of year.  This next Christmas Poem is a precious sentiment to all our loved ones who can’t be here in body but I am sure are with us in spirit, every part of this Christmas Day.  Lots of love to you this Christmas.

I’ll Never Stop Missing You

I’ll never stop missing you,
At Christmas and the whole year through.
You’re in my heart, everywhere I go,
In my tears, when I feel low.
Only because I want you here,
To hold you tight, to have you near.
Just one more time, to see your face,
To hug you close in a warm embrace.
When you did go, darkness fell,
You went to heaven, earth felt like hell.
I battled I struggled, my heart was torn,
You were always there, from the day I was born.
And even though, time has past,
I remember our chats, forever they’d last.
The fun times we had, walking together,
Hail, rain or snow, whatever the weather.
Christmas is upon us and I want you to know,
When I look above, I know you show.
I know you’re here, every step of the way,
Every move I make, every whisper I pray.
I love you more, than you’ll ever know,
Beyond the stars, beyond their glow.
And on this Christmas morn, my heart does smile,
You want me to be happy, forever and a while.
So I’ll take a deep breath, and rejoice this Christmas Day,
Because that’s what you’d want, I can hear you say.
So when I see little Robin, chirping at me.
I know it’s a symbol that you are free.

May All Your Christmas Dreams Come True

A very warm and loving welcome to Day 22 of sharing a Christmas Poem with you. Below is another beautiful poem for you to enjoy this Christmas time, it speaks of truth from my heart and soul.  You are very special, each and every one of you and if you’re missing someone very special in your life right now, the words may resonate with you. May all your Christmas Dreams come true.  Love Clarabelle

Christmas Dreams

I think of you, only you,
You’re floating in my head.

I wonder what you’re doing this Christmas,
As I lie here in my bed.

I dream of this, I dream of that,
But one thing is for sure,
When you are in my Christmas dreams,
All sadness you do cure.

I know you might be smiling now,
A wee chuckle in your heart.
But it’s how I get through my Christmas day,
When we are apart.

But patience is a virtue,
And when the time is right,
We’ll be snuggled up together,
And hugging all through the night.

Please take this little poem,
A Christmas gift to you from me.
Whispers from my soul.
Secrets that Santa can’t see.

Cos even when I’m quiet,
Silent Night holds the key,
Filling the space with Christmas love,
Unleashing more of “you & me”

You are very special,
Lovely in every way,
I’m excited to see you again,
At Christmas and every waking day.

Christmas Eve

Woo hoo Day 18 already of sharing a Christmas Poem with you every day until Christmas Day.  Some of us have loved ones who live far away from us, but they make that special trip to visit us at Christmas time.  This next Christmas poem is all about that, about the excitement of loved ones arriving for the festivities on Christmas Eve.  Wishing you a wonderful time with your close family and friends this Christmas.  Love Clarabelle

On Christmas Eve

Love from a distance,
breaks my heart.
When we’re not together,
when we are apart.

But on Christmas Eve,
you’ll arrive with a smile,
So loving and caring,
we’ll hug for a while.

I get excited,
when I think of you.
I feel you here,
do you feel me too?

Usually Santa Claus,
is the star of the show.
But in my eyes,
it’s always you, you know.

It is so lovely to receive an unexpected call from a true friend at Christmas time.  I am just off the phone from a really good friend of mine who moved away from Scotland this year and it was so lovely to hear her voice and chat and laugh with her.  This has inspired this Day 14 Christmas Poem.  Go on, pick up the phone today and give a true friend some warm Christmas Love.  Clarabelle

Friends at Christmas,
are so special and true.
A chat full of joy,

are so precious to me.

Pink Fluffy Hat

I treated myself to a very cosy pink faux fur hat at the weekend, I saw it, loved it, tried it on, bought it and wore it straight away – “no bag please, I’m just going to wear it”.  Below is a recent photo of me in my new winter’s hat.

So this has inspired my Christmas Poem for Day 12.  I do hope you like it, it’s just a little sweet fun one.

Christmas is the Best

Christmas is fun,
for everyone.
Smiles in our eyes,
a happy surprise.
A pink fluffy hat,
wear it like that.
A champagne drink,
a mistletoe wink.
Love and joy,
a funny toy.
Christmas is the best,
it beats all the rest.

Christmas Comes But Once A Year

Merry Christmas

Christmas Poem by Maureen Turner

A very warm welcome to you on Day 11 of sharing a Christmas Poem with you.  Today I am so delighted to share a Christmas Poem with you that was created by the wonderfully talented Maureen Turner.  Maureen has been a Guest Blogger for us before on this Clarabelle Blog, here is a link to Maureen’s Guest Post from March 2013 where she shared with us her lovely poem entitled, “Happiness“.  However, today is also about happiness, happiness at Christmas time and I just know you’ll love Maureen’s Christmas Poem, entitled “Christmas Comes But Once A Year”.  A very special thank you to Maureen for sharing her happy spirit and creative talents with us here on this Clarabelle blog.

Christmas Comes But Once A Year

Christmas comes but once a year

The sleigh bells ring and Santa’s here

The tinsel, the tree for all to see

The presents we gave one for you, one for me

So let’s raise a glass to the year gone by

Did you laugh, did you cry or did it end on a high?

So all the best for 2014 to happiness and health

and to following your dream.

Christmas Poems for Your Cards

Regular visitors to this blog will know that since the first of December I have been creating a Christmas Poem everyday for you up until Christmas Day.  Today I want to share with you a Christmas Poem that you could write in a Christmas Card and give to your beautiful mum.  It’s always nice to add that personal touch, it is so much more precious and meaningful.  So today’s little poem is short enough to go into your Mum’s Christmas Card. I made this poem especially for my own Mum’s Christmas Card, which I also designed too.  I hope you like it and please feel free to use it in your Christmas Card for your lovely mum this Christmas and I am also very happy for you to share this with others. Lots of love Clarabelle.

Christmas Candles

I love candles I think they add a real beauty and ambience to any room, especially at Christmas time.  This next poem is about just that, I hope you like it.

The Christmas Candle

A flicker, a glow,
pure beauty on show.
That’s the Christmas Candle.

At peace, at one,
love for everyone.
That’s the Christmas Candle.

A glitter, a shine,
simply divine.
That’s the Christmas Candle.

A warmth, so bright,
On this Christmas night,
That’s the Christmas Candle.

And then it Snowed!!

Winter's Day in Scotland
Winter’s Day in Scotland

Christmas Love

A very warm Christmas love welcome to you and to Day 8 of sharing a Christmas poem with you everyday until Christmas Day.

A Winter’s Day

I love to look out on a Winter’s Day, snow softly falling beneath the soft pink sky and unique tranquility in the air that you can really only feel and not describe with words.  This next Christmas poem is inspired by just that.  Stay snug and warm this Christmas.  Christmas love to you, Clarabelle.

And then it snowed!

A child in the moment,
I look up to the sky.
A mesmerising pink,
I’m flyng high.

For in this beauty,
everything glowed.
Lost in the tranquility
and then it snowed!!

I run outside,
I wanted to feel.
Snowflakes on my face,
this magic was real.

Whiter than white,
but really not that cold.
Amongst this miracle scenery,
secret dreams I hold.

I look up to the light,
white blobs fall fast.
Connected to the now,
I hope this will last.

And as I close the door,
on this winter wonderland.
I feel blessed and so grateful,
as snowflakes melt in my hand.

A Mince Pie at Christmas

Christmastime

A very warm and cosy welcome to Day 7 of my Christmas Poems leading up to Christmas Day.

Mince Pie at Christmas

I LOVE a wee mince pie at Christmas, funny thing is, when I was a child I never really liked them at all but now I really do.  I could go a Christmas mince pie, right now.  🙂  Enjoy the scrumptious festive food this Christmastime and please don’t worry about overindulging, because it’s not what you eat in between Christmas and New Year that matters, it’s what you eat between New Year and Christmas.  Yummy, Yummy!!

Christmas Mince Pie
A Christmas Mince Pie, Clarabelle enjoyed earlier!!

A Mince Pie at Christmas

A mince pie at Christmas,
Is scrumptious and yummy.
I love this little treat,
and so does my tummy.

You can have it hot,
or fresh and cool.
Whatever way you like it,
it will make your mouth drool.

So grab a cuppa coffee,
sit down and relax,
Enjoy a Christmas mince pie,
fill your taste buds to the max!!

Christmas Welcome

A very warm Christmas welcome to Day 6 of my Christmas poems leading up to Christmas Day. I do hope you like the next one, it may make you think about the precious love that surrounds you at Christmastime, embrace it with open arms because you are very blessed indeed.

On Christmas Morn

She looked out of the window,
on Christmas Day.
She remembered her past,
a time to pray.

For now she is older,
she is eighty three,
and sits alone,
there’s no “you and me”.

She had a love,
a husband that cared,
They loved Christmas,
everything was shared.

But he passed away,
She remembers his smile,
and them dancing in the snow.

She isn’t sad,
she doesn’t feel lonely.
She is grateful for this life,
and her one and only.

She misses him much,
he’s always in her thoughts,
On Christmas morn,
He’d say “I love you lots”.

She awaits her carriage,
her wonderful son.
Who is so special,
he looks after his mum.

Today she is part of,
a family filled with joy.
With 4 happy grandchildren,
3 girls and a boy.

She loves them dearly,
they are her life.
A special Gran, a loving mother,
and in her heart a happy wife.

She tells them stories,
of times gone by.
She laughs with her grandchildren,
and enjoys a mince pie.

She feels amazing,
so precious and true,
To my hubby in heaven,
I will always love you.

Christmas Poetry: Go Santa Go

Christmas Poetry Santa Claus

Christmas Poetry, Day 5

A warm festive welcome to Day 5 of my Christmas poetry.  Everyday between now and Christmas Day I will share with you a happy Christmas poem.  I hope you enjoy today’s Christmas poem, called “Go Santa Go”.

Go Santa Go

Go Santa go,
Ride through the snow.
Come to my house,
Be as quiet as a mouse.

Go Santa go,
Let Rudolph glow.
His nose so bright.
A happy guiding light.

Go Santa go,
I love you, you know.
In your cosy red suit,
Coming down the chimney shoot.

Go Santa go,
Singing ho, ho, ho.
You are magic all around,
Snowy footprints on the ground.

Go Santa go,
I’ve left you 3 in a row.
Milk, carrots and a warm mince pie.
See you next year Santa, with love, goodbye.

The Magic of Christmas

Christmas Poetry Santa Claus

Christmas Poetry, Day 4

A very warm Christmas welcome to Day 4 of my Christmas poems leading up to Christmas Day.  Enjoy my beautiful friends and stay magical no matter what time of the year.

The Magic of Christmas

A sprinkle of fairy dust,
a twinkle in the eye.
A warm hello,
from the last goodbye.

A happy heart,
a Christmas smile.
The Magic of Christmas,
Goes on for a while.

A special time,
with loved ones to share,
Feelings of joy,
and love everywhere.

A time for giving,
and knowing what’s true,
The Magic of Christmas,
lives in me and you.

My Christmas Wish

Merry Christmas

Christmas Poems Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of my Christmas poems.  Everyday between now and Christmas Day I will share with you a lovely Christmas poem.  This one today is about Christmas Love, a love that is so very special and true.  Lots of love to you this Christmas.  Clarabelle

My Christmas Wish

Holding hands,
Covered in snow.
Smiles on our faces,
A loving glow.

A sparkle in the sky,
A jewel at night.
Blessed in this beauty,
On this Christmas night.

Together as one,
Nothing else matters.
Laughing and giggling,
As mad as hatters.

A mistletoe kiss,
The warmest cuddle.
Under snowy rooftops,
and an ice freezing puddle,

Christmas is bliss,
Because of you.
You’re my Christmas wish.
so special and true.

Christmas Poetry: I Miss You Forever

 Christmas Tree

Christmas Poem

Every day between now and Christmas I am going to share a Christmas Poem with you. The one below speaks from my heart this Christmas time.

Loved Ones

Christmas is a beautiful time to spend with your family and close friends and this is often a time when you also think about your loved ones who can’t be with you right now and I know you can relate to that, just like me.

This next Christmas poem is all about that and this one is dedicated to my Wonderful Dad in heaven, “I Miss You Forever”.

I Miss You Forever

I miss you forever,
forever and a day.
But it seems to get harder,
when Christmas comes our way.

I think of your smile,
I think of your love.
When Christmas is with us,
And you are above.

Kindness is in the air,
All I want to give to you.
Is the biggest ever hug,
This is what I’d do.

If only Santa Claus,
Could make my dreams come true.
We’d be putting up the tree,
Instead, I’m feeling blue.

But Christmas is upon us,
and you are in my heart.
Shining like a beacon,
Flowing through every part.

I miss you forever,
and on this Christmas Day.
I love you more than you’ll ever know.
And in my heart for you I pray.

Christmas Bells

The sound of love,
The sound of joy.
Giggles and smiles,
From every girl and boy.

The sound of hope,
The sound of fun.
Christmas bells ring,
Uplifting everyone.

Treasure this time,
Play in the snow.
With Christmas jingles,
And Santa on show.

Let the tree,
Light up the room.
Give warmth this Christmas
Let the Christmas flowers bloom.

Oh Mr Snowman

Festive Spirit

I seem to be getting into the festive spirit already and accordingly to the recent UK weather forecast there will be plenty of opportunity over the next few months to make as many snowmen as we want.  I hope you like this Family Christmas Poem below, it is from my latest eBook, “It’s All About Christmas”.  Sending you some early Christmas love, Clarabelle

Snowman
A young Clarabelle, Age 10, (2nd from right) with friends from School.

Oh Mr Snowman

Don’t believe a snowman,
Has no heart inside.
Because he was built,
By a child with pride.

He was a dream,
A vision of fun.
He brought the family together,
And lives in everyone.

Oh Mr Snowman,
You stand still, with a smile.
I could look at you forever,
Come walk with me for a mile.

Oh how I wish,
That could be true.
We’d be dancing and laughing,
Yes, snowballs fight too.

So when the snow comes,
In the big icy freeze.
Your snowman’s heart, lives in you,
Remember this please.

True Story

True Story

I would like to share a true story of mine with you today.

When I was 16 years old, my first full-time job was as an Office Assistant in a Solicitor’s Office in Glasgow City Centre.  I really loved that job, mainly because I really loved the people I worked with, it was really fun at times and I learned so much with it being my first permanent job.

Escape

Unfortunately, I was in two serious car crashes when I was 18 years old and was in crutches for a year and half and sadly, my position at the Solicitor’s Office had to be terminated because there was no real indication when I would make a full recovery and was likely to return.  So there I was at the age of 18, in crutches for 18 months, no job and no real indication from the Doctors at the hospital when I would get fully better.  I could have been really depressed about being in that situation, but I wasn’t.  I decided to use the extra time I had to read lots of books from the library on subjects I was interested in at the time, it helped me escape from my current reality.

A Christmas Gift

There is a significance to me telling you this story and that is because of a Christmas gift that was given to me when I was 16 years old from the staff when I was working in the Solicitor’s office.  They very kindly got me this lovely mug, that I totally treasured, it had my name on it “Claire” and a short poem about the meaning of name.  Here is the little poem:

CLAIRE
MEANING:  LIGHT

You’re quick to solve puzzles
Without hints or clues
And shed light on situations
Known to confuse.
The inner glow you have
Because of your name
Makes your life a lighthearted,
Whimsical game.
You’ll always know happiness,
Love and delight,
For you follow a lifelong path
Cheerful and bright.

It was my job to make the coffee and tea for everyone throughout the day in the office and every time I made myself a quick cuppa, I would read the little poem and smile with delight, I really loved it so much.

However, when my employment got terminated at the office I never seen my treasured little mug again….until 15 years later, yes my little mug came back to me and here is a photo of it below:

Claire's Mug
The Original Claire Mug from the year 1989

So how did it find its way back to me?  This next true story is fascinating.

My younger sister, Leanne met her husband to be Cameron when she was 22 years old and Cameron was 18 at the time.  My sister and I had both decided to spontaneously go out the evening she met Cameron, they instantly fell in love with each other and are now very happily married with three beautiful children.  The interesting fact here is that Cameron had lived in Cape Town, South Africa all his life and him and his family emigrated to Scotland to live, the year Leanne and him met.

Our Claire

A few years after they met, Leanne and Cameron got married and it was a very beautiful wedding.  Shortly after the wedding, Cameron’s mum, Joan, who works in an Accountant’s office, was showing her friends in work the wedding photographs, she then also showed the ladies in the office downstairs the wedding photographs.  Whilst looking through the photographs, one of the ladies said, “Who is that bridesmade girl?”, and Joan said it was Leanne’s sister, Claire, they said that’s “Our Claire”, “She worked here when was 16 years old…..we kept her mug, please give her mug back to her and tell her we are asking for her”.  WOW, Joan had been working in the Accountant’s office upstairs from the Solicitor’s office I worked in when I was 16 years old and none of us knew.

Joan, surprised me one day, she turned up with the mug for me and told me the whole story, what a truly wonderful surprise it was….after 15 years, they kept the mug and it was returned to me.

I still find this story very fascinating and especially that the mug has poetry on it…..which for me as you know, poetry, if part of my life, it is part of who I am.

24 Years Later

I have visited the staff in the office since then, some of the original staff who worked there when I was 16 are still working there, almost 24 years later.  They have also allowed me the use of their offices to hold coaching sessions in…this time I am not the receptionist, I am the business owner meeting with my own clients…..I feel I have come along way since those days as an Office Assistant.

True Love

I am not exactly sure what the moral of the story is here, I think you will have your own take away from it.  All I know is that, my “Claire mug” was meant to come back to me and it took a family to emigrate to Scotland from Cape Town, South Africa and a real love story to make its way back to me…..how lovely indeed.  I really treasure this “Claire mug” with all my heart, I believe, true love brought it back to me and now I share this story with you today.

If you have an uplifting true story you would like to share, I would really love to here it, why don’t you share it on my blog, I would be happy to dedicate a blog post to it for you.

Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle

On Christmas Day

For some reason I have been getting into the Christmas spirit and it’s only October, that’s really really early for me.  So I’m planning ahead to Christmas day and created this Christmas Day poem just for you.  Have a beautifully blessed Christmas.  Love Clarabelle

On Christmas Day

On Christmas Day

Snowstars fall, on Christmas Day,

Twinkling Angels, guide the way.

Mr Robin, joins the choir,

Chocolate hearts, melt with desire.

Family cuddles, and present giving,

Special moments, happy living.

Warm and cozy, life is bliss,

Merry Christmas, to my mistletoe kiss.

***

Blessings glisten, on the tree,

Prayers of hope, and dreams of ‘we’.

Icy tracks, from the sleigh ride made,

Ho, ho, ho, to the Christmas Parade.

Love creates, magic in the air,

Treasure this Christmas moment, so wonderful and rare.

Santa’s Secrets

Christmas Holidays

There is something magical in the air at Christmas time, I just feel a different vibe – for me it is filled with love and it really feels so special and beautiful.  May you have an abundance of love in your life over the Christmas Holidays.  Mistletoe kisses from Clarabelle.

Santa's Secrets

Santa’s Secrets

Sweet kisses, around the Christmas tree,

Snowflakes sparkle, on you and me.

Santa’s secrets, whispered in my ear,

Reindeer dance, in the sky, with no fear.

The moon is whiter, than the shimmering snow,

The icy waters, glisten and glow.

The eve of Christmas, in all its glory,

Awakens the human spirit, what a loving story.

A Christmas Gift

We don’t need to wait until Christmas Day to share love and happiness with our family and friends, each brand new day in our lives is a special gift.  Wishing you an abundance of Christmas blessings over the festive season.  Merry Kissmas from Clarabelle

A Christmas Gift

A Christmas Gift

Frozen footsteps, in the snow,

Christmas candles, burning slow.

Love and light, endlessly shines,

Carol singing,  Merry Christmas chimes.

Children giggle, with excited thoughts,

Bundles of energy, from tiny tots.

Prayers of hope, and happy smiles,

Families gathering, from across the miles.

Everyday, is a Christmas gift,

Not just once a year, for a special uplift.

Hold each moment, treasure it well,

Fairies dance, under your magical spell.

My Christmas Life

When you feel emotional pain in your heart, sometimes it is really difficult to get into the Christmas Spirit, I know this because I experienced it for a few years in a row. At that time, I didn’t really want to celebrate Christmas and now I realise that that thinking was all wrong, it didn’t really serve me well.  This poem is all about that, release yourself from the heartache and cherish today for what it is, very very special.  May the joy of Christmas spirit connect fully to your heart, mind and soul.  Lots of love Clarabelle

My Christmas Life

My Christmas Life

Christmas after Christmas, the spirit died,

Pain in my head, from all the tears I cried.

No sparkling tree, under the moonlit sky,

A heavy heart, from the last goodbye.

Something felt missing, I let it all go,

Focus was negative, no energy did show.

I had closed the door, to life and all,

Until little robin redbreast, chirped his jingle bell call.

He said…..”Open your mind, to all that could be,

Your spirit is alive, set it free.

Spread your wings, get out of the box,

There’s a twinkle in your heart, its voice does talk.”

Fireworks exploded, I joined the stars,

My Christmas Life on earth, was felt in Venus and Mars.
