Your brain, with all its wonderful facets and zillions of neurological connections, really needs to be taken care of.
When my brain hurts and what I really mean is, when it’s tired, exhausted and/or drained – I just know it needs a rest from all the crazy noise and distractions out there.
Your brain is on the go all of the time, doing things like – keeping you safe, helping you learn and supporting your creative imagination.
It’s constantly picking up inner and outer signals to help you function most effectively on a moment to moment basis – no wonder it hurts sometimes.
So next time your amazing brain has moved into overload drive, give it some downtime and fresh space to clear out the clutter and make way for true clarity of thought.
Your brain is a wondrous miracle that enables you to bring out the best of you and helps you to demonstrate your inner magic.
So don’t go popping a paracetemol and hope that all the unwanted head pressure will all go away. Take your brain into an information free zone and let it mingle with absolutely nothing.
Disconnect your brain and give it time to reboot – you’ll most definitely feel like a different person.

What is love,
without surprise,
a caring thought,
heartfelt eyes.
What is kindness,
without the giving,
touching lives,
soulful living.
What is forgiveness,
without a prayer,
sharing you,
unique and rare.
What is gratitude,
without the knowing,
a thankful bond,
a miracle glowing.
What is here,
without your presence,
healing time,
your very essence.

Vibrant youth,
bountiful in art,
graceful in nature,
sweet miracle heart.
Oh beautiful flower,
in my soul you do live,
the scent of your life,
forever it gives.
I watch you in awe,
growing so free,
a magical creation,
a wonder to see.
Most of us who have suffered the great loss of a precious loved one, may indeed connect to the following poem.
I want you to know that I feel you and I truly understand the deepest hurt losing a loved one can bring.
WHEN YOU LOSE A LIFE
When you lose a life,
you loved so much,
absence of hugs,
missing their touch.
You grieve their heart,
you once embodied before,
many sleepless nights,
craving them more.
An invisible pain,
that never goes away,
so lost without them,
a hate for each day.
No one shares,
the hurt in you,
life feels numb,
purposeless too.
But know their presence,
lives in your soul,
a bond so strong,
making you whole.
Believe they stand,
right by your side,
giving you energy,
watching with pride.
They are your candle,
giving you light,
they are your blanket,
comforting you at night.
They listen to your whispers,
guide your inner thoughts,
solving your problems,
untying the knots.
So remember their smile,
laughter and glow,
bringing you solice,
when you feel low.
Know that their spirit,
embraces your love,
forever your star,
shining from above.

Today, I went on a “Doe Deer” trail walk today in the Highlands of Scotland, and I was so wanting to see a Doe Deer. I was planning on doing a 1.5 hour walk, but it led into a 3.5 hour walk, after I got “lost in the woods”.
Magical
It was precisely 2 hours and 2 minutes when the most stunning, magical thing happened, a Doe Deer came springing across my path, it was a breathtaking moment. I just completely stopped dead in my tracks and watched her prance her way into the depths of the woods. The thing is, if I had never taken a wrong turning, if I had never got lost, I wouldn’t have experienced that amazing moment.
Where the Magic is Found
It got me thinking this evening, that maybe in the mystery of getting lost or taking a wrong turning, this is where the magic is found.
What a beautiful thought and an even better feeling.
So if you’re worried about getting lost or taking the wrong turning in life, maybe this is where your magic will be found.
Romance is in the air, spreading the love through a poetic verse or two……enjoy.
I Told Him So
I told him so
I love him dearly
I feel his heart
I see it clearly
Many footsteps,
May seem afar
Our love grows
Beyond the star
Dust will settle
On magical ground
The bell rings
I hear his sound
A smile for you
A tear for me
I told him so
I love him dearly
Do you believe in Fairytale endings?… I certainly do, you’ve got to. You’ve got to believe that everything you are working towards on the pathway to your dreams is going to manifest just the way you want it to or even better than that.
Your Fairytale ending is the ultimate vision you want for your future, even if it only feels like a whisper in the wind at the moment. Keep digging, keep trying, keep putting the right energy out there and something’s got to catch, like a ripple effect on the water, only this ripple is connected to your Fairytale ending.
See your reflection in the lake, see it as a mirror image of the person you are becoming, your future self dancing joyfully in your Fairytale ending.
Do something today to get you closer to your dreams…….keep up the great work and never stop putting in the effort that you need to put in until you get there.
This full compilation of Claire’s positive thoughts, inspiring messages, and motivating jottings will make you feel like you just drank 6 energy drinks, without the heart palipitations. Her words pick you up, help you view your life in a different, more positive way, and provide you with the belief that you can accomplish anything
Miracles are everywhere and can happen at any moment in your life, I truly believe that. Â I share with you below one of the poems from my paperback book, Clarabelle’s Musings, I hope you love it like I do:
Miracle to Life
As the angel, holds my soul,
The brightest diamond, comes out of coal.
Sparkling like stars, glistening forever,
Floating in the air, flowing like a river.
The staircase is calling, I see the light,
The sun would not change, this darkest night.
But somewhere from within, the heart beats stronger,
This is what a wonderful customer said, I am so grateful for these inspirational comments:
“This full compilation of Claire’s positive thoughts, inspiring messages, and motivating jottings will make you feel like you just drank 6 energy drinks, without the heart palipitations. Her words pick you up, help you view your life in a different, more positive way, and provide you with the belief that you can accomplish anything.”
And somewhere along the journey, somewhere in the deepest part of her heart, she realised, that all she ever needed was to be love, do love and have love.
I want to tell you a true story of how you can achieve whatever you want to achieve if you really put your mind to it – even if you have no experience at all in that field of interest.
The Beginning of Clarabelle Music
In March 2013 I purchased myself a second-hand keyboard because I wanted to create some instrumental music. Â I couldn’t play the keyboard at the time but I wanted to learn – teach myself. Â I created about nine instrumentals within about a two week period – I couldn’t read music, I just wrote numbers on the keys with pencil and “felt the music” and I also just memorised the keys I was playing.
Clarabelle’s Keyboard
Tony…
I wanted to transfer each musical piece onto my laptop but I didn’t have the right connecting cables. Â So I went into a shop in Glasgow City Centre, RS Sound & Light and got chatting to the owner of the shop, Tony. Â Tony was a very warm and inviting man and he sold me the cables I needed. Â Whilst chatting to Tony he asked me why I wanted the cables and I told him I was going to be making up my own songs – I said to him “eventually I will have my own CD Album”. Â Tony said that this was great and that when the CD Album is ready, to bring it into him and he would play it in his shop and also pass the CD onto other DJs he knew so they would also play it for me.
Tony’s Shop in Glasgow
So Inspiring
This was so inspiring for me because although I had very little music experience (practically none), Tony didn’t disregard my idea and aspirations – he encouraged and supported me with it. Â That was it, I was on a mission……..a passionate, exciting, true to myself mission of giving Tony my CD Album – I could see that vision, I could feel it and I believed it.
At this point I hadn’t written any songs……but here’s what happened.
From May 2013 to September 2013 I wrote 25 songs…..from the heart, including the melodies. Â Between October to December I chose four of my favourite songs which I had only recorded acapella style on Youtube and hired musicians in Ireland (Denis Kilty), Canada (Gary Stitt) and New York (Shako) to create a simple piano and guitar backing track based on my melodies. Â In January 2014, I went to the Professional Recording Studio, Reeltime Music and recorded my very first EP, Hearts Apart, which contains these original four songs – I had never been to a recording studio before either!!
Across The Globe
Two weeks later I had released my first single, “Runaway Love” on iTunes and other music platforms across the globe and one month after that I was holding my newly created CD Album in my hands – I cried….my tears were of joy, love and pride in what I had accomplished. Â One of the first things I thought of was, I can give Tony my CD now.
Tony Helped Me
Almost exactly a year later to the date when I first went into Tony’s shop, I very proudly handed him a copy of my CD Album and also a copy for his daughter. Â Prior to that, Tony had also helped me choose my first PA system and is also supporting me as Professional Compere for my first ever public Gig on 3rd May this year in my home village of Carfin…….how exciting.
So Grateful
I am so grateful for all the help from Tony at RS Sound & Light in Glasgow City Centre and everyone else who has been involved in helping me achieve what I have achieved so far…..I certainly could not have done it without them. Â A massive thank you also goes out to my best friend Donna Marie Dick who has been amazing in helping me co-ordinate my first two live Gigs in May – she truly is a shining star.
Donna (L) and Clarabelle
Special thanks also goes out to my wonderful photographer who took some amazing shots of me for my music portfolio (he’s still a bit shy, so doesn’t want me to mention his name yet). Â There are lots of people I need to thank personally and I will…..not sure if they all want to be mentioned here on this blog, so I will protect their identity for the moment, but I know they know I am so grateful for their contribution.
So Blessed
So there you have it, that’s a short summary of the truth from my musical journey, how amazing is that, I feel so blessed for everything.
I want YOU to believe in YOU, believe in your DREAMS, believe YOU can make them happen and have faith that the right people will cross your path to help you.
I had many barriers in the way…….far to many to mention but when I look at how far I have come I can only ever feel very VERY happy.
I wish you forever happiness, I truly do. Â Thank you for being here.
I was visiting a wonderful friend of mine in Newcastle a couple of weeks ago and we took a drive to Whitley Bay. Â He had some other commitments to attend to so I had about an hour or so to spend on my own. Â I went to a quiet little bar and thought, I will be happy writing some poetry. Â Next to the table I was sitting at, there was some small flyers/brochures and I picked up one that was entitled “Saras Hope Foundation”. Â Let me tell you a little bit about what it said:
Saras Hope Foundation
Sara Hoburn tragically lost a two year battle with a rare form of colon cancer at the age of sixteen in 2001. Â Her dream was to help other sick children to enjoy normal family lives away from the hospital environment. Â She is the inspiration behind the charity Saras Hope Foundation, which runs a holiday retreat in Crete, offering respite for children and young people with cancer and their families. Â Sara especially loved Greece and the Greek Islands and it was her dream to get married in a little blue and white church on the beach.
Sara was known as “Smiling Star” by the medical staff who treated her at the Teenage Cancer Unit in the Royal Victoria Infirmary Hospital in Newcastle because she was always smiling and had such a positive attitude.
Sara was an inspiration to everyone who knew her and when she lost the battle on 16 January 2001, Sara became a “hero”.
I was so inspired by the above story and as I looked at the beautiful photographs of Sara on the brochure the following poem poured out of me. Â I share this with you today in honour of this brave young lady who has inspired and helped children/young people and their families all over the world.
“Smiling Star”
I look at her photo, such a beautiful smile,
Her eyes are sparkling, on the rainbow mile.
She brings us hope, she brings relief,
From darker days, felt heavy in grief.
A frozen memory, from a special place,
Now an angel in heaven, and our saving grace.
We are touched with her love, in every way,
Moving our spirits, on this special family holiday.
And just when she was about to give up, something magical happened, just like she always believed, exactly how she had envisioned it and precisely what she had written down. Â It had always been there, but she didn’t see it at first……then when she opened her heart, all was revealed.
Be Prepared
Trust in the absolute power of the universe, have faith that everything will  work out just the way it is supposed to and know that every false start gets you closer to your goal.  Be prepared as much as you can, because when lighting strikes and it surely will, I want you to be ready, to be at your very best, to embrace each opportunity and share the wisdom that grows from this life changing experience.
Not long till spring time, yet I wake up this morning to a pretty blanket of white snow (see photo below, taken this morning, of the trees in my garden). Â As winter takes its last breath and holds on, I decide to write some poetry. Â I feel a light inner calmness in me as I look outside, the perfect mode for the heart and soul to sing. Â A miracle is in the air, I can feel it and it’s making its way to you today. Â Much love to you Clarabelle. Â
Clarabelle’s Garden 11.03.13
A Miracle is in the Air
It’s the middle of March, it silently falls,
Snowy roof tops, icy halls.
Angels whisper, a miracle is in the air,
Lovingly white snowflakes, caress my hair.
It’s nearly spring, yet winter holds on,
White candy floss, now covers my lawn.
It looks very pretty, fresh and clear,
Winter’s last calling, at this time of year.
I stare at its beauty, it brings calmness in me,
The brightest white, on my conifer tree
A picture perfect, is in front of my eyes
Mixed seasons, can be wonderous, a magical surprise.
You are the miracle of your life, you are the magic, welcome it with open arms, embrace each moment as an opportunity to be a better version of you. Â This next inspirational quote by me is all about that. Â Wishing you a magical day, love Clarabelle.
Here is a special little St. Valentine’s Day poem for you, to celebrate true love, the joining of passionate hearts and the magical miracle of life. Â “When you feel love, act on it. Â Speak your heart. Â Be truthful. Be Open.”from the book The Path to Love by Deepak Chopra. Â Happy St. Valentine’s Day to you and your loved ones, Clarabelle.
All of my poetry is based on my life experiences, some amazing ones and some really challenging ones.  This next poem was written by me from a challenging time in my life.  I didn’t realise it at the time, but I know now, that the pain I was feeling, was the releasing of negative energy that was not serving me well.  I call this poem, my breakthrough poem, the reason being is that I opened up my heart and asked for help whilst feeling in such a vulnerable state of mind.  I remember this experience so very clearly, it was 3am and I couldn’t sleep, I felt really tearful…..I asked for help and I truly believe I got it – from myself.  This poem is a true reflection of that night, I believe some kind of inner miracle happened and I know the power of the universe was listening to me.  I share this very personal poem with you, in the hope that if you are facing a similar tough experience, it will give you faith and knowing that your current difficult experience will gradually pass with time and maybe just maybe the first step to that happening is accepting the situation for what it is and asking for help.  I believe that help will come from within, for you can truly help yourself and turn any negative situation around.  May you take courage and strength from these words, “The next message you need is always right where you are.” (Ram Das) and I feel my true life experience told in this next poem proves that.   Stay strong, you can do it!!  Much love to you today, Clarabelle.
Breakthrough
Breakthrough
It was 3am, I just couldn’t sleep;
With tears in my eyes, the message came deep.
I was all alone and I repeated out loud;
“Help me, Help me”, I’m lost in the crowd.
Give me a sign, that you hear my cry;
I don’t know what to do, or what to try.
A few hours passed by, but nothing came my way;
I felt abandoned, and full of dismay.
When morning did come, I searched all around;
Give me a signal, then a book beside my bed I found.
I had been clearing out cupboards, the night before;
And this book fell out, and onto the floor.
Little did I know, for in my time of need;
The answer was there in advance, disguised in this good deed.
I picked up the book, and to my surprise;
The answer was there, in front of my eyes.
“Help is here if you need it” – words marked in bold;
Someone was listening, this answer they told.
I smiled inside, for I knew what to do;
The fact that I asked for help, was the start of my breakthrough.
That day I found comfort, for the universe heard my plea;
I often talk about enjoying the present moment and appreciating the beauty of life. Today I want to share with you about the wonderful magical scene outside my window. Today is a cherry blossom tree miracle because it is snowing petals. Â Look for the miracles in your day, they are certainly there.Â
Â
I smile, as I see them falling
It’s snowing petals, such a beautiful calling
Like soft pink feathers, dropping from the sky
Floating in the breeze, from the tree so high
A spiritual moment, a miracle view
I gaze out the window, beneath the sky so blue
A pink speckled garden, nourished with fruits
Lovingly nurtured and cared from the roots
A sweet moment in time, that deserves true space
To captivate this beauty, with full embrace
The world gives us treasures ,everyday
But sometimes we don’t see them, in this way
Our lives get too busy and we miss the summer snow
Take a deep breath for a moment, let routine go
Savour the pleasure, in mother-nature’s hands
As the sun sets over, on warm desert lands
