Poetry Days
I will have a POETIC EMPIRE evolving before your eyes
I hope you’re having a truly wonderful day – I really do.
I was reflecting today (28 October 2022) on how much I love writing poetry, so much so, that I decided to change this whole Clarabelle blog into one GIGANTIC POETIC VISION.
So you will see that some things have changed around here and my main aim will be to continue to write poetry daily and share it with you. Going back to my roots and keeping it simple.
I will still add in some empowerment food for thought along the way but my strong focus now, going forward is, quite simply, to write poems and share them with you.
So there you have it. Poetry all the way.
The Clarabelle Podcast will now become the Clarabelle Poetry Podcast and I will share my spoken word poetry with you.
The motivational and encouraging posts will now be entwined in some sort of poetic format.
The videos I create, will all be poetic.
The Clarabelle products on sale currently all contain poetic verses and I will continue with this.
Basically, I will have a POETIC EMPIRE evolving before your eyes.
So that’s it for today. I am currently in Bonny Scotland visiting my lovely Mum who is celebrating her 80th birthday but I will continue to write on here daily whilst away.

Kicking the Brick Wall
if you’re angry, you’re wrong
Yes, you did read that right….. and what a really stupid thing for me to do!
2008
The year was 2008 and I was training for my first marathon. I was about 8 months into my training (out of 11 months in total) and was on a significant 16 mile run. Up until then, everything was going perfectly in my training and this particular Sunday morning run, started off really well.
I got to about 12 miles in, and soon, a little knee niggle became a huge big, pain in the butt – so much so, that I had to stop running at the 13 mile mark.
To say I was furious, was an understatement – I was so ANGRY and FRUSTRATED, that I started to agressively kick the brick wall next to me. I kicked that wall so hard that I nearly did myself some serious damage, but thankfully, I realised how stupid I was being and eventually stopped.
This ‘kicking the brick wall’ incident was very ‘out of character’ for me, and as I reflect on it today, I feel very bewildered by that ‘manic behaviour’ – it really made no sense at all!
LIFE
The ups and downs of Life WILL put our true emotions to the test and it’s our job to have internal control over how we respond to these emotions. Anger, frustration, aggression and crazy behaviour, NEVER EVER works…. period!
I recently watched a video interview of a former Royal Marine, who shared one piece of learning that was so POWERFUL. In this interview, he said, “if you’re angry, you’re wrong” – WOW . . . . . just think about that for a minute.
RERUN
So let’s take the aforementioned running incident and deal with it all over again, today, as it was back then. What would I do? Well, as soon as I felt the little niggle at the 12th mile – I’d stop, flag a taxi, rest the overworked knee and celebrate my progress to date, with my favourite bar of chocolate!
*IMPORTANT NOTE – no bricks walls were harmed in this 2008 incident, only a bruised EGO that needed to learn a hard lesson!

I’m Not Scared
run wild, free and happy
When you become free from the limited minds of others, then you will have the ability to face most fears – if not all!
Self-conscious thinking is never going to get you anywhere but stuck and believe me, ‘stuck in the mud”, is not a good look at all.
When you’re thinking and doing becomes boundless, you achieve more and more each and everyday.
When you go from being fearful to saying, “I’m not scared”, you open a whole new world for yourself.
Don’t be a prisoner to your thinking, because none of it is real anyway.
Shift your cellblock mindset to beautiful thoughts of open landscapes, where you run wild, free and happy.
I know where my thoughts would rather be!
Think about your thinking – is it serving you well right now?

JUMP TO IT!
Take responsibility for your own choices and decisions in life – this is a must!
Are you feeling a little unfulfilled in your work life? That can be very normal and can also be changed, albeit, where applicable.
Focus on what you can control in your workplace and also on what you can control, outside of work. This is one great way of accepting responsibility for taking positive action and not wasting your time and energy on things you just cannot control.
Think about purposeful and meaningful ways you can contribute to your work environment and/or job tasks. This will definitely make you feel a lot better and your work will most definitely benefit too.
In situations, where your work has closed the door on being a more fulfilling workplace for you – then think about what you can contribute to outside of work that offers you a more enriching life experience.
Please don’t go blaming your boss for work tasks that you initially signed up for and that now don’t ‘rock your boat’. Take responsibility for your own choices and decisions in life – this is a must!
Work your best with what you’ve got and gradually make small but impactful changes to enhance your life.
There are many options for you to explore here and it’s important you take the time to think about all the pros and cons of going one way or the other.
Bit by bit, if you really put the effort in, you will change things for the better. Dedicate time today to plan your future needs and wants – then jump to it!

Dreamlike Moments
What if it does work out?
Dreamy Dubai
Don’t you just love a beautiful morning sunrise?
When I lived and worked in Dubai a few years ago, I used to go for 5am runs towards the stunning Dubai sunrise.
The morning sunrise in Dubai was as picture perfect as you could get it and it really did make a positive difference to the rest of my day.
A Good Solution
The lovely air conditioned gym in my apartment block, didn’t open until 6.30am and that was too late for me – so an early morning run, before the heat became unbearable, was a good solution for me.
Wonderful Opportunity
I also had the wonderful opportunity, whilst staying in Palm Jumeirah, to go for morning swims before work. I remember during those blissful swims, feeling so wholeheartedly grateful for manifesting those dreamlike moments into my life.
Lots of things didn’t work out for me in Dubai or I would have stayed there for so much longer but I NEVER EVER think of that. I put my focus on what did work out and the truly wonderful people I crossed paths with and learned so much from.
Embrace Every Opportunity
Don’t expect things to be perfect in life, when you try something new or go to a new environment to live or work in but DO EXPECT to embrace every opportunity that comes your way, for that indeed makes up the true essence of you.
Never think, “What if it doesn’t work out?”
ALWAYS think, “WHAT IF IT DOES WORK OUT?”
A doubtful mind is a horrible burden to carry.
An empowering mind, on the other hand, will carry you there.
NOTE THE DIFFERENCE!
Your dreams are for the taking and now is your time!

Don’t Play the Blame Game
forge forward with all your might and self-power
The title says it all really, doesn’t it?
If you ever, EVER hear yourself blaming others for something that is NOT going right in your life, I want you to STOP that useless thinking RIGHT NOW!
You are where you are, because of YOU. Hold yourself accountable for your own decisions, choices and wants that took you to where you are standing today.
If you are NOT happy with where you’re at, don’t go blaming anyone else for that. Take control of the situation NOW and do what you need to do to CHANGE that.
The past is the PAST, the present goes so fast, it is basically the past – so focus on your future wants and needs and bring your “A” game to the table in order to achieve your desires.
Don’t ever play the “blame” game – I promise you, it’s pulling you backwards and that’s not a progressive direction to be heading in.
Forge forward with all your might and self-power and let go of that draining blaming stuff today.
Go on then – oh and don’t blame me if you don’t do it!

Monday Morning Blues?
you deserve to experience the best of opportunities out there
I can honestly say, I haven’t had the Monday Morning Blues for a good few years now and I never want to have them in the future either.
I remember, in my much younger days, getting these feelings, which often started on the Sunday evening!
I know, most of you can relate to those feelings of ‘dread’ going into a job that, for your own reasons, didn’t feel right.
I made a promise to myself a few years back that if I ever got so low again going into a job, I would sort that stuff out super fast.
Thankfully, I know what I want from a job and how I can utilise my skills and experience to contribute effectively. I also know how I want to be led and empowered to bring my best game to the table on a daily basis.
You have the true capacity and pure potential to achieve everything you want from your work and you are in control of whether you make it or break it.
I believe you deserve to experience the best of opportunities out there, so make sure you bring your ‘A’ game every single time.
There is this great quote by Rumi, “what you seek, is seeking you”, and for me, this quote is a wonderful reminder to never doubt your capabilities and be mindful of the many doors that are open for you – just walk right in.

I want to give a massive thanks to YOU for visiting this Clarabelle blog. Â Just over a month ago I was celebrating reaching 10,000 blog hits and yesterday I am amazed to say that I reached 12,000, this is the fastest growth ever to date. Â I want to give thanks to all the other bloggers, guest bloggers, facebook friends, linkedin connections, twitter followers and all other visitors who take the time to come and visit my blog and read, like and comment on my posts.
I truly LOVE doing this blog, I choose to put a lot of love and positive energy into it because I am passionate about what I write and share with you. Â I don’t plan in advance what I want to write, I just write what feels right at the time……and I really do hope it adds value to your day.

July – Question of the Month
Welcome to the first day of July. Â At the beginning of each month I give you a question to ponder and answer for yourself, I also share my own answer with you. Â Below is July’s question for you:
Question: Â
What one thing could you do today, that would make a positive difference to your life right now?
My Answer:
I know that when I pray for myself and for others it always makes me feel better and I do feel that my prayers are always answered. Â Before I say my prayers I say “Thank you” for listening and at the end of my prayers I say “Thank you” for answering my prayers. Â So this month I will start and end each day with a prayer to help me and others stay strong, focused and committed on the journey of our life purpose. Â What is my life purpose? Â Well it would take a long time for me to answer that one, but let’s just say that this blog is definitely a massive part of that.

I was talking to one of my clients only last week about deliberate practice towards a desired goal that is in alignment with your core values. Â Today I came across this YouTube video by Dr Bill Crawford, I really love his work and what he stands for, I learn so much from him. Â Watch the video below, it really does make a lot of sense.

I do hope 2013 is getting off to a great start for you. I am so focused and driven to achieving my goals this year and one of them relates to putting a lot of energy into this blog and making it even better and more impactful for you. Â I can genuinely and honestly say that I LOVE this blog, I just love working on it, love sharing with you and love reading your comments and your posts too. Â
Podcast Host
Whilst looking into blogtalkradio this evening, I came across a podcast host, http://www.podbean.com.  I got so curious and excited about it and after a good 6 hours playing around with it and voice recording some of my poems, I have now created my own Poemcast website http://poemsbyclarabelle.podbean.com which is directly related to and linked to this blog.  I wanted to create podcasts, which as I am sure you have guessed by now, I have renamed to Poemcasts (thanks to a wonderful conversation I had with my friend Tom last year – his idea).   Â

I think it was Tony Robbins who said the quote “where focus goes energy flows” and I can’t agree more, because my focus on making this blog even better has led me to a new world of Poemcasting!! I share this information with you today, because you may wish to try it out for yourself. Â

The Soul is Talking
Each day I wake up with a brand new mission, I ask myself these questions, “What is my mission today?”, “How can I serve greatly?” and “How will I stay connected to my purpose?” – for some people, these are not easy questions to answer, for me, I have searched deep within my soul and have been moved by the voices in my heart. This is why I write this blog for you, by creating lyrical art I answer all three questions at once. Â My soul it talking and it’s talking to you. Â The next poem is inspired by just that.
The branch of the tree, edges out in time
The voices are loud and sing in rhyme
A soft breeze is blowing, I stand alone
A picture perfect, as I dream of home
Today the mission, is to commit to myself
The importance of happiness and my inner health
To serve greatly, give out my heart
Share unspoken words, through my vision and art
Imagination seeks, fuel to ponder
Creative spirit, such a special wonder
The page that was blank, now is full
The soul is talking, scribbles do rule
Stay connected to your purpose and so much will come
Opportunity is now, grasp it and run

Whispering Words
Time ticks on, moment after moment, breath after breath. Â The sun rises, the sun sets and the clouds drift in slow motion, pause for a second, appreciate the time you have and live your life in meaningful pursuit. Â This next poem is for you….time is of the essence. Wherever you are, I do hope the sun is shining on you.
Whispering Words
Time is of the essence, appreciate it well
The senses are awakening, I’m under your spell
Whispering words, silence in me
This daisy chain of life, surrounds the hollow tree
Each petal of hope, floats carefree in the breeze
Touching hearts, melting the freeze
Connecting souls, shining like stars
Breaking down barriers, bending the bars
The mind thinks, with passion and belief
Summer searches on, as I grasp the autumn leaf
And in the palm of my hand, I hold it tight
It’s a fragile treasure, escaping from the light
To let it go, is brave and true
Seasons change hope, that grows within you
