On This Christmas Eve

Christmas in New York

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve has fallen upon us, may you have the sweetest love of others around you this Christmas time.  Day 24 and I share with you this next Christmas Poem, “On This Christmas Eve”, I hope you enjoy. Christmas love to you today, Clarabelle.

On This Christmas Eve

Do I hear Santa outside my house?

He’s very noisy, not quiet like a mouse.

I hear his footsteps, in the snow,

I hear him sing, ho, ho, ho.

I hope he thinks, that I’m asleep,

I tried counting sheep, like little Bo’ peep.

But excitement and fun, took over me,

I do love you Santa, please let me see.

I want to give you, a great big hug,

I want to tell you, I’ve left milk in your mug.

I want to sleigh ride, high in the sky,

Waving down at the snowmen, as we pass by.

My dearest Santa, you bring great joy,

To every family, and little girl and boy.

You make me smile, on this Christmas Eve,

Can you stay Santa?  Please don’t leave.

I’ve got lots to tell you, for I’ve been good,

Please don’t eat the carrots, that’s Rudolph’s food.

I put a gift, under the Christmas tree

It’s for you Santa, especially from me.

The Child in Me

I was visiting my mum tonight and we went out a walk, which made me reminisce of my wonderful childhood days.  This next poem is inspired by just that.

The Child in Me

The Child in Me,
Smiles inside.

Sunny days,
And stars that guide.

Love and laughter,
All the way.

Falling down,
Back up the same day.

The Child in Me,
Has never grown old.

She sings and dances,
And plays in the cold.

She lives with heart,
She lives with joy.

An empty box,
Is her creative toy.

The Child in Me,
Is always there.

A warm friendly hug,
And a midnight prayer.

She is invincible,
With starry eyes.

She dreams of playing,
Beyond the skies.

The Child in Me,
Is present now.

I let her be free,
She takes a bow.

Happy in this moment,
Happy to be alive.

I maybe older now,
But I still feel like five.

Rainbow Days

I had the most amazing childhood, it was full of fun, adventure and magical spirit.  I was surrounded by an abundance of friends, love and laughter….I hold these special memories very close to my heart, they are locked in my soul forever…..we will never be apart!!  This next poem is inspired by my childhood dreams and those treasured times of the past that have shaped who I am today.  If I ever feel I have travelled afar from who I really am, I think of those rainbow days and those long summer sunsets, where I danced in the wind, laughed in the rain and played with love in my heart, every moment of every day.  I wish you a day filled with a childlike free spirit that makes you feel so very happy inside.  I am smiling now, I do hope you are.  Love, Clarabelle

Rainbow Days

Sweet sweet child in me, playful and full of fun;

Dancing in the rain, laughing under the sun.

Happy was my heart, true friends were all around;

My soul skipped to the music, love in me profound.

Fresh air on my face, the clouds so magical too;

Hopping in an out of puddles, this is what I do.

I wake up with a song, playing in my heart;

Singing to this tune, I repeat this special part.

Smiles, hugs and warmth, fill my rainbow days;

Light shines from within me, reflecting spectrum rays.

The Spirit of an Angel

I was out running today (08.10.12) in the very beautiful autumn sunshine, it felt so wonderful.  I was running up hill and could see I was approaching a group of young children (about 4 years old) with their nursery school teachers, it looked like they had been on a mini adventure.  They had all been told to stop to make room on the path for the ‘lady runner’, and as I run towards them, I was given the most amazing, heartwarming waves and smiles from them, with one little girl in particular shouting an excited ‘hi’ from the top of her voice and spreading much happiness from within.  It was such a beautiful, treasured moment and it really has made me smile all day.  This next poem is inspired by all those cute little angels I crossed paths with today.  May your day be filled with sparkles and smiles, love Clarabelle

The spirit of an angel, smiled at me,

A beautiful child in the moment, loving and carefree.

The sweetest gift, with such a sparkle in her eyes,

Wholesome and heartfelt, a miracle surprise.

The true magic of such, a youthful soul,

Creates the most precious diamonds, out of coal.
