May Christmas love,
Be with you.
On this Christmas Day,
and all year through.

Remember This….
So Happy
Today, I collected my first ever paperback book from Amazon. I was the happiest person ever picking up the book. I excitedly opened up the package on the street and wanted to shout out to everybody, “Hey, this is my book”, I was wearing the biggest smile ever. This book’s content has spanned over a 3 year period and I honestly can’t believe I’ve written it. I read each page with new learnings and rejuvenated wisdom and I am amazed all over again.
I know some of my best writings in this book have been written at some of the toughest times in my life, when I was going through some inner challenges of lost love, tough business times and knock back after knock back. These writings, through that inner pain were inspiring me to “keep going”, to “never give up” and to do my very best to help myself achieve all that I have ever wanted. It was like I was connected to something else when writing these musings……like something else was speaking through my heart, mind and soul. I would just sit there alone in the silence of my own home and write…..it all just flowed out of me so easily and I would instantly feel an inner calmness after it.
So, in my humble opinion, this book, Clarabelle’s Musings are miracle writings, whispers of my soul to share with the world and connect in a very special way with other hearts and ultimately help you positively move forward in your own journey of life.
I often wonder where I got my writing spirit from, as my Mum and Dad don’t write but my younger sister Leanne is a fabulous writer, although I am sorry to say that she doesn’t write anymore.
I remember Leanne came home from High School one day, she was about 13 years old and she was stunned because the Head of the English Department, at the time, didn’t believe she had written the essay she wrote, she was upset that she had to convince him that she did write it all herself. He was so amazed by her talent, he took her School book from her and showed it to the other English teachers in the department. Not very inspiring for a 13 year old, when your teacher doesn’t even believe in you. I wish Leanne would write again, her story writing, really is amazing but she is so happy being a wonderful mum of 3 children with another one on the way in February next year. Leanne also home schools my nieces and nephews……her children will always be inspired, she will make sure of that.
I think we got it from my Grandfather, Eddie, who told me, at 90 years old, that when he was a child, he came first place in a UK and Ireland wide School writing competition. I felt so proud of him when he shared that with me, he hadn’t told anyone, until then, sadly he passed away at the age of 92.
So today is a momentous day and I am dedicating this paperback to my Granda Eddie and my younger sister Leanne, both inspirations to me.
Clarabelle’s Musings, this is my new bedtime reading book.
Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle
On This Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve has fallen upon us, may you have the sweetest love of others around you this Christmas time. Day 24 and I share with you this next Christmas Poem, “On This Christmas Eve”, I hope you enjoy. Christmas love to you today, Clarabelle.
On This Christmas Eve
Do I hear Santa outside my house?
He’s very noisy, not quiet like a mouse.
I hear his footsteps, in the snow,
I hear him sing, ho, ho, ho.
I hope he thinks, that I’m asleep,
I tried counting sheep, like little Bo’ peep.
But excitement and fun, took over me,
I do love you Santa, please let me see.
I want to give you, a great big hug,
I want to tell you, I’ve left milk in your mug.
I want to sleigh ride, high in the sky,
Waving down at the snowmen, as we pass by.
My dearest Santa, you bring great joy,
To every family, and little girl and boy.
You make me smile, on this Christmas Eve,
Can you stay Santa? Please don’t leave.
I’ve got lots to tell you, for I’ve been good,
Please don’t eat the carrots, that’s Rudolph’s food.
I put a gift, under the Christmas tree
It’s for you Santa, especially from me.

I’ll Never Stop Missing You
The Eve of Christmas Eve
Welcome to the eve of Christmas Eve and Day 23 of sharing a Christmas Poem with you. We all miss loved ones at Christmas who can’t be with us but they are always on our minds, even more so at this time of year. This next Christmas Poem is a precious sentiment to all our loved ones who can’t be here in body but I am sure are with us in spirit, every part of this Christmas Day. Lots of love to you this Christmas.
I’ll Never Stop Missing You
I’ll never stop missing you,
At Christmas and the whole year through.
You’re in my heart, everywhere I go,
In my tears, when I feel low.
Only because I want you here,
To hold you tight, to have you near.
Just one more time, to see your face,
To hug you close in a warm embrace.
When you did go, darkness fell,
You went to heaven, earth felt like hell.
I battled I struggled, my heart was torn,
You were always there, from the day I was born.
And even though, time has past,
I remember our chats, forever they’d last.
The fun times we had, walking together,
Hail, rain or snow, whatever the weather.
Christmas is upon us and I want you to know,
When I look above, I know you show.
I know you’re here, every step of the way,
Every move I make, every whisper I pray.
I love you more, than you’ll ever know,
Beyond the stars, beyond their glow.
And on this Christmas morn, my heart does smile,
You want me to be happy, forever and a while.
So I’ll take a deep breath, and rejoice this Christmas Day,
Because that’s what you’d want, I can hear you say.
So when I see little Robin, chirping at me.
I know it’s a symbol that you are free.

Christmas Love
Christmas Spirit
Wow, this is Day 13 already of my Christmas Poems, how quickly time goes by. I share with you today some beautiful Christmas music from Nat King Cole, together with a short Christmas poem below, entitled “Christmas Love”. I was writing out my Christmas Cards this evening and getting into the Christmas Spirit, I really do love this song, “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire”. I have a Christmas shopping day planned for tomorrow with my sister the kids and my mum, looking forward to some family good cheer and a fun filled day. I do hope you’re getting organised for Christmas Day. Christmas love to you Clarabelle
Christmas Love
Christmas with family
is so good.
Love in the air,
and luxury food.
Embrace this time,
treasure it well.
Christmas love,
is a magical spell.

Christmas Welcome
A very warm Christmas welcome to Day 6 of my Christmas poems leading up to Christmas Day. I do hope you like the next one, it may make you think about the precious love that surrounds you at Christmastime, embrace it with open arms because you are very blessed indeed.
On Christmas Morn
She looked out of the window,
on Christmas Day.
She remembered her past,
a time to pray.
For now she is older,
she is eighty three,
and sits alone,
there’s no “you and me”.
She had a love,
a husband that cared,
They loved Christmas,
everything was shared.
But he passed away,
She remembers his smile,
and them dancing in the snow.
She isn’t sad,
she doesn’t feel lonely.
She is grateful for this life,
and her one and only.
She misses him much,
he’s always in her thoughts,
On Christmas morn,
He’d say “I love you lots”.
She awaits her carriage,
her wonderful son.
Who is so special,
he looks after his mum.
Today she is part of,
a family filled with joy.
With 4 happy grandchildren,
3 girls and a boy.
She loves them dearly,
they are her life.
A special Gran, a loving mother,
and in her heart a happy wife.
She tells them stories,
of times gone by.
She laughs with her grandchildren,
and enjoys a mince pie.
She feels amazing,
so precious and true,
To my hubby in heaven,
I will always love you.

Christmas Poetry: I Miss You Forever
Christmas Poem
Every day between now and Christmas I am going to share a Christmas Poem with you. The one below speaks from my heart this Christmas time.
Loved Ones
Christmas is a beautiful time to spend with your family and close friends and this is often a time when you also think about your loved ones who can’t be with you right now and I know you can relate to that, just like me.
This next Christmas poem is all about that and this one is dedicated to my Wonderful Dad in heaven, “I Miss You Forever”.
I Miss You Forever
I miss you forever,
forever and a day.
But it seems to get harder,
when Christmas comes our way.
I think of your smile,
I think of your love.
When Christmas is with us,
And you are above.
Kindness is in the air,
All I want to give to you.
Is the biggest ever hug,
This is what I’d do.
If only Santa Claus,
Could make my dreams come true.
We’d be putting up the tree,
Instead, I’m feeling blue.
But Christmas is upon us,
and you are in my heart.
Shining like a beacon,
Flowing through every part.
I miss you forever,
and on this Christmas Day.
I love you more than you’ll ever know.
And in my heart for you I pray.

Happy Child

I was such a happy child, I honestly had a fabulous childhood it was so much fun, adventurous, exciting and full of imagination. I had lots of friends and most of the time we made up our own entertainment. We used our imagination to make up dances and songs, we played at football rounders, kick-the-can, hide and seek, beds (hopscotch), races, treasure hunt, lee voy, relay races, obstacles courses, we would climb up trees and make up hidden camps in the park. I am smiling now because my childhood was so so so so happy and I am very proud to say that I am still very close with some of those very special childhood friends almost 35 years later.

As a child I always remember being full of dreams and excited ambition, although it was probably portrayed as being too far fetched and a little ‘show off’ at times. I never interpreted it as that myself, I was just so happy and wanted to display my happiness to others, I suppose I wanted them to share my happiness too.

My mum said to me that her memory of me as a child was that I was always singing, she said I would sing from the moment I woke up until I went to bed. The funny thing is I forgot I did that until my mum reminded me of it a couple of years ago. I forgot that I used to do that as a child and I guess I forgot what it was to be that child again singing, dancing and living in a very free-spirited way. However I am finding that the more I understand who I am as a person the more I am becoming that happy spirited child again, the person that I always was but somehow got lost along the way.

At this moment in time, on my journey of life, I am really happy, I feel free-spirited, creative and mesmerised by the beauty in this world. It’s like I am seeing the world again through my childlike eyes, like when I was 7 years old again.

As a child I loved things like catching my reflection in puddles on a rainy day, gazing up at the stars at night, staring at a summer nights sky and being wondered by all the magical colours and different shapes of clouds. I loved making daisy chains and I would look endlessly at each petal on the daisy, really feeling and smelling its fresh air scent. I loved the great outdoors and just being free, I guess just being me, living in each very moment and seeing each and everything around me as magical.
Now I know why I was a happy child. 🙂 🙂 🙂
May your day today be filled with magical childlike moments that allow you to see the beauty in everything around you. Lots and lots of love to you today, Clarabelle

Me and My Mum

Ponder, Think, Reflect
I am 10 weeks into my 16 week marathon training programme and my long runs at the weekend can be quite challenging. Yesterday, I had to do a 16 mile run, this took me about 2 hours and 45 minutes. I stopped taking music with me on these runs and I now use the time to ponder, think and reflect on whatever comes up for me at that time – very often these thoughts turn into a blog post, just like today.
Carfin
My running routes are through my local town and often take me into other connecting villages and towns. Yesterday I found myself running in the village of Carfin that I was brought up in and where my mum lives.
Whilst running up hill towards my mum’s home I thought about the times when I visit her and then a sad thought came over me, one day I will not be visiting my mum in her home, because one day my mum and just like the rest of us will not be here. I didn’t ponder this for too long because I didn’t want to make myself feel too sad. I suppose that is life and that is the reality of it all but it did make me think about me really wanting to spend quality time with my mum whilst she is here and whilst I live so close to her. I then immediately thought of all the nice things we could do together, places we could go and visit, conversations we could have, holidays we could go on…..lots of special time together. So I now have a little plan of action to put all of this into place.
Loved Ones
Sometimes in life without even realising it we can take our loved ones for granted, especially when everything is going well with their health etc.. My run towards my mum’s house yesterday made me really think about that, I want to spend as much quality time with my mum as I can and I will and I look forward to sharing those lovely fun stories with you on this blog.
If this post has made you think about a loved one, please give them a phone, visit them, drop them an email or text…..just connect with them and let them know you are thinking about them and are there for them, it will make you and that person feel great today.
Wishing you a beautiful day filled with love and happiness, Clarabelle

Field of Love
I had this thought whilst out running yesterday morning, it certainly made me think and maybe because I am very much a ‘people person’ i.e. I love people, is why I think this way.
Golden Summer Meadow
Imagine you were walking alone through a beautiful golden summer meadow, beneath the bluest of skies, with the sun beaming down on all the colours of the flowers around you, the scenery is so stunning it has a white haze around it, as if you were in your own beautiful dream.
You feel lots of love around you, you feel happy, contented and at peace, you are grateful for this moment, you feel very blessed indeed. Imagine that moment for yourself right now, if you’re anything like me, you feel so happy and have a soft smile upon your face. What is it that makes you feel that way, when you walk through the golden summer meadow, what makes you feel at one?
Think About This Now
Now I’m going to switch this up a little bit, imagine everything is the same as above but the only difference is, you now know that you are the only person living in this world whilst walking through the beautiful golden summer meadow, think about this now, how does it make you feel? I thought about this, the surroundings have not changed but for me, now I feel alone, now I feel lifeless, now I feel lacking in energy, now I feel dead inside……why do I feel this way?
No Life But Your Own
For me, it is because there are no people to share this experience with, no family or friends to go home and talk to, no conversations to look forward to, no laughter shared with another, no life but your own, no relationships to nurture, no one to give your love to, no one to love, just to give love to yourself.
So I am thinking, that you have can as much self love within you to reach the stars and back but if you don’t have other people in your life to share it with, to give your love to, it becomes dead, it doesn’t thrive, it doesn’t grow.
Field of Love
You see this made me think about how we are all connected, we are all connected with that invisible field of love, love’s energy is keeping this Universe alive and the best way for the Universe to grow and thrive is to share your love with others and in doing so you get more love.
A little love goes a long way, you will never be alone in the beautiful golden summer meadow as long as there is love inside of you and the knowing that it is reaching out to others.
Your love is so powerful, more powerful than you will ever know but I feel the key is to ensure you share it, you give yourself the opportunity to express it, you give it, this I feel is what will ignite the inner flame of your own love, it will take root and nourish every part of your very being.
Another way of looking at it is this, imagine you’re the only person in this world with a loving heart……..I think that’s another blog post.
Thank you for taking the time to read my running reflections, would be good to know what you think of it all, I’d love to know.
Wishing you a beautiful day filled with love, Clarabelle

I Am Here
Being Brave
This is a breakthrough day for me today, a day where I put my energy and heart out there to the world. I say this because I am being brave and courageous and putting myself out there to the Universe in a different way. I am sharing with you one of the songs I wrote recently for my new Album called “The Becoming of Me”. This is the first time I have ever sang on video with the intent to demonstrate the power and unfolding of making my dreams come true. This passion has indeed been locked inside of me for over 30 years and now I am embracing the moment and creating opportunities for myself. I have no idea where this may lead to, all I know is that it feels right to share with you today.
TRACK 1: “I AM HERE”
This song is about the loss of a loved one (my father) and also about having a loved one who lives very far away from you, like in a long distance relationship or family living “Across the Miles”. It tells the heartfelt story of the strong innner desire to have them so close to you, in that very moment, imagining them so close that they are actually there, then feeling the heartbreak of the reality that they are not there and are never coming back or will not be back for a long time.
Here is the YouTube video of me singing the song in acapella, I do hope you like it.
Here are the song lyrics:
Verse 1
The night is cold tonight
I feel you here
And I just want you now
I want you near
But you are far away
From me
My heart is silenced now
It’s history
Chorus
And I am here
For you
I am close
Can you feel me too
Your love
Is all I need
Heaven open your gates
This I plead
Verse 2
The starry sky so bright
Watches me
I feel your presence here
Let this be
You may be far away
From me
My heart is open now
Set me free
Chorus
So I am here
For you
I am close
Can you feel me too
Your love
Is all I need
Heaven open your gates
This I plead
Heaven open your gates
This I plead
Encore
I once had hope
That I held you
Tight in my arms
Loving you
I see your smile
I see your eyes
Loving me
Beyond the skies
Chorus
And I am here
For you
I am close
Can you feel me too
Your love
Is all I need
Heaven open your gates
This I plead
Heaven open your gates
This I plead

I would really love to hear what you think of the song and lyrics, it will help me develop into the Artist that I am becoming.
I truly thank you for listening and may you be brave and courageous today, wherever you are in the world.
Much love to you, as always, Clarabelle

Guest Poet of the Month – Maureen Turner
Guest Poet: March
Every month I shall be posting a poem/article from a guest blogger. If you are interested in becoming a guest blogger on this blog, please note your interest on the comments section below or email me at claire@murraypeople.com
May I introduce you to a wonderful and talented poet, Maureen Turner. I know you will love Maureen’s work, she is such a beautiful and heartfelt writer.
Maureen Turner

Having had tragic circumstances to deal with in my life with the sudden loss of my twin brother, husband and father all within a close space of time, I felt I had to write down some of my thoughts in the form of a poem to try and give me strength to get through such sad times, I feel that poetry helped me express my emotions and hopefully will encourage others to read them and take strength from them to carry on each day and look at every day as a blessing, I now try and look at life in a more positive way and have realised that through time we all get stronger.
Happiness
In our lives the sun may shine, some days I wonder why not in mine. with a spring in your step, you go about your day, but what about those who are not made that way.
Sharing your laugh and sharing your smile, means a lot to those who haven’t felt that in a while, they say try to be bubbly, try to be fun, but that’s really hard when you live a life where there is no sun.
Look in the mirror say what you see, tell yourself is that really me,the frown on my face those unlit eyes, what happened to that smile that could light up the skies.
Pick yourself up get back on track, watch out my girl or you’ll take a step back. So here I am smiling today and I have to tell myself ‘there is no other way’.

Maureen has created a beautiful ebook of her own poems and if you would like to know more about Maureen’s work, please email me at claire@murraypeople.com and I will certainly put you in touch with her.
Positive Mindset
Below is a post taken from one of my other blogs, I posted this one on 1 March 2010 and I thought I would share it with you on here. Wishing you a day filled with an abundance of positive thoughts. Love Clarabelle

Full of Character and Excitement
I was looking after my 3 year old niece the other week whilst her parents went off to pick up their new puppy dog.
I love watching my little niece she is such a funny, cheery little girl full of character and excitement. She was happily looking out of the window into my back garden when she shouted “look Auntie Claire, they’re dancing”, I asked her what was dancing and she said “the trees are dancing” and she began to copy the swaying movements of the trees blowing in the wind outside. It was so cute to watch, I smiled and I thought to myself what a truly wonderful positive perception she has on Mother Nature.
Such an Amazing “Mummy”
Later on that day I kept thinking about my niece’s words and how she could have said something completely different using a more negative connotation, but she didn’t. I then thought about my younger sister, who is such an amazing “Mummy” and how positive and happy she is. I just know that my sister’s love for nature and optimistic outlook on life has made such a positive influence on my little niece’s young life.
It made me think about how important it is for us all to choose to have a positive mindset and positive take on the world. Like in those famous lyrics sung by Whitney Houston “I believe the children are our future” – I do hope the trees stay dancing!!
A Mother in a Million
Happy Mother’s Day
It is Mother’s Day here in the UK and I want to send out a beautiful blessing to all the wonderful Mother’s out there, who bring much love and abundance to this world. This next poem is dedicated to my own beautiful mum, to your mum too and indeed, if you are a mum. Wishing you a very special day filled with love. Clarabelle

A Mother in a Million
Mother you are so beautiful, in every single way,
You brighten up each moment, and listen to what I say.
Your love is so very special, to each and everyone,
You’re a mother in a million, stronger than the sun.
I love you so dearly, more than you’ll ever know,
Thank you my wonderful mother, your wisdom has helped me grow.
You’re Never Alone
Life can be full of shocks and surprises, usually when you least expect it. I heard some sad news recently, the unexpected passing away of an adult friend from my childhood. Instantly I thought of the loved ones that are left behind and trying to cope with their loss and sadness. It made me think of how I was able to cope when my Dad passed away many years ago. I wrote this poem in the hope that it will bring some comfort and solace to the grieving family and friends, you are all in my prayers. Much love to you Clarabelle

You’re Never Alone
Today I feel your sadness, it’s present in my heart;
Your loss is very tragic, many tears from you depart.
A sinking soul, with a deeper beat;
Emotions are heavy, no people you want to meet.
Is this real? Is this me?
Questions stir your mind, make you feel crazy.
But let me tell you a secret, one I want to share;
When loved ones leave us, important people do care.
They offer a helping hand, to ease your current pain;
Their love surrounds you, to fill your heart again.
The human spirit comes alive, and reaches out to you;
It shines a light on your darkest days, to help you see it through.
You’re never alone, at this difficult time;
Angels dance around you, until you feel just fine.
So when you close your eyes tonight, and rest your head to sleep;
A warm blanket of love and light, penetrates your soul so deep.

On Christmas Day
For some reason I have been getting into the Christmas spirit and it’s only October, that’s really really early for me. So I’m planning ahead to Christmas day and created this Christmas Day poem just for you. Have a beautifully blessed Christmas. Love Clarabelle
On Christmas Day
Snowstars fall, on Christmas Day,
Twinkling Angels, guide the way.
Mr Robin, joins the choir,
Chocolate hearts, melt with desire.
Family cuddles, and present giving,
Special moments, happy living.
Warm and cozy, life is bliss,
Merry Christmas, to my mistletoe kiss.
***
Blessings glisten, on the tree,
Prayers of hope, and dreams of ‘we’.
Icy tracks, from the sleigh ride made,
Ho, ho, ho, to the Christmas Parade.
Love creates, magic in the air,
Treasure this Christmas moment, so wonderful and rare.

Santa’s Secrets
Christmas Holidays
There is something magical in the air at Christmas time, I just feel a different vibe – for me it is filled with love and it really feels so special and beautiful. May you have an abundance of love in your life over the Christmas Holidays. Mistletoe kisses from Clarabelle.
Santa’s Secrets
Sweet kisses, around the Christmas tree,
Snowflakes sparkle, on you and me.
Santa’s secrets, whispered in my ear,
Reindeer dance, in the sky, with no fear.
The moon is whiter, than the shimmering snow,
The icy waters, glisten and glow.
The eve of Christmas, in all its glory,
Awakens the human spirit, what a loving story.

A Christmas Gift
We don’t need to wait until Christmas Day to share love and happiness with our family and friends, each brand new day in our lives is a special gift. Wishing you an abundance of Christmas blessings over the festive season. Merry Kissmas from Clarabelle
A Christmas Gift
Frozen footsteps, in the snow,
Christmas candles, burning slow.
Love and light, endlessly shines,
Carol singing, Merry Christmas chimes.
Children giggle, with excited thoughts,
Bundles of energy, from tiny tots.
Prayers of hope, and happy smiles,
Families gathering, from across the miles.
Everyday, is a Christmas gift,
Not just once a year, for a special uplift.
Hold each moment, treasure it well,
Fairies dance, under your magical spell.

Megan We Love You
Here is the second of my poems that I did for my nieces and nephew the other day. The poem below was created for Megan (age 6), such a fun loving, creative child and really so clever, her favourite subject at school is maths. Megan was so excited to hear the poem I had created for her, “are you finished Auntie Claire…..are you finished yet?” she kept saying. When I read the poem out to her she had this massive big smile on her face and said “I like it….it’s nice, read it to me again”. Now, Megan wants me to present the poem for her in a pink frame with silver sparkles around it and with a background of lovehearts, flowers and puppy dogs – a very cute challenge I have ahead of me!! Here is Megan’s poem below:
Megan We Love You

Megan we love you, you’re full of fun,
So clever and special, our number one.
Your style is amazing, so hip and trendy,
Your dance steps are cool, and very bendy.
A princess of our hearts, happy and free,
A star in the making, so full of glee.

Oh Little Carmen
I was in Auntie Claire role the other day and spent some quality time with my 2 lovely nieces, Megan (age 6) and Carmen (11 months) and my gorgeous nephew, Sean (age 8). I am so proud to have those 3 beautiful children in my life, I just love them so much. We were playing around and I asked them if they wanted me to write a poem for each of them and they got so excited. Below is the poem I created for Carmen and I am delighted to say all of their eyes lit up with joy when I read each of their poems out to them, I could see it really made them feel so very special….and they are. Here is the first of these poems below.
Oh Little Carmen

Oh little Carmen, we love you so,
The cutest little girl, in a pretty pink bow.
You light up our hearts, with the smile upon your face,
A special treasure forever, the sweetest grace.
The brightest light, shines from you,
Stronger than the sun, in the sky so blue.
An angel of fun, with a curious mind,
A bundle of joy, simply one of a kind.

Sister Dear Sister
Often we go through life and we forget how influential our closest family members have been in our life. This poem is a heartfelt sentiment to my wonderful and beautiful younger sister, who through the highs and lows of my life has always been there for me. Thank you Leanne, you are so very special to me, more than you’ll ever know.
When we were young sis, we always used to fight
Early in the morning and mostly every night
I didn’t really appreciate back then, the special person in you
I now recognise that failing, so evident and true
But as we got older, I changed my poor sisterly ways
You became a best friend and we went on holidays
I love you my dear sister, you are so special to me
More than you’ll ever know, more than I let you see
I always feel so happy, when you are around
You cheer up the room, lots of laughter is your sound
And always when I need you, to my door you come a knocking
There with open arms and then we do some talking
You laugh at your own jokes and I find that very funny
Your spirit is so alive and your attitude is always sunny
Sister dear sister, you’ve made my life so great
I couldn’t ask for a better sister, 10 out of 10 you rate
