They sparkle,
I smile with delight.

A soft gentle caress,

Sorting out the mess.

Are you missing anyone very special this Christmas? I am, I am really missing someone right now and I won’t be with him this Christmas but I will be with him. every Christmas after that.
I try not to feel too sad about it because there isn’t anything I can do to change the situation this Christmas, so I keep my mind focused on all the other beautiful Christmas times we will have together. I also put lots of focus on what I do have to be thankful for in my life right now and there is a lot, a massive amount actually.
When I am having thoughtful “I am grateful” moments, I feel at peace, I feel inner happiness, serenity and very blessed. So if you are missing someone right now and they can’t be with you for whatever reason, think of what you do have in your life, right now and think of the blessing that is also you.

Sharing some happy tears with you today.
In 1996 I replied to a newspaper advert, pen friends for people in the British Army – I thought it would be a nice thing to do.
On the 13th January 1997 I received my first letter from Steve, he was 23 years and had been serving in the British army since he was 18 years old, the airmail letter came from Bosnia. We never actually met, we just wrote to each other for a period of 2 years.
I was clearing out old papers from my mum’s house the other day and came across Steve’s letters to me – 31 of them. Â Today I am reading all these letters again, I am happy, I am sad (but in a good way) and I have gained such heart warming inspiration from them, all over again….I wonder where Steve is now? I wish him very well
These are the little unexpected moments of life that put some true meaning and purpose into it all. Â Feeling blessed.
Write a letter to someone today, go on, I know it would be a very lovely thing to do and you and the other person will get so much from it.

Please note, that sadly after writing this blog post, I was so sad to find out that Steve passed away in September 2012 at the very young age of 39 years, I am so shocked. I will try my best to get in touch with his mum and forward his beautiful letters to her. He was so happy and full of life, such a loss to this world that he is no longer here. I think this is just a little reminder to us all that we must make the most of our lives and focus on the important things to us going forward. Clarabelle
Sometimes you just come across work out there that is a perfect fit for you at this moment in time and when that does happen it feels so wonderful inside. I urge you to seek the perfect work that fits your circumstances right now, believe me, you will enjoy it so much more than the ultimate dream job at the wrong time or worse still that high flying job that gives you no rest and no life outside of work.
Think about it, think about securing the perfect fit for you and your life right now and enjoy the journey.

Isn’t life funny,
In a strange kind of way.

Three of the most powerful words that touch your soul like no other, that make your heart smile inside, that help you to believe that anything is possible and that give you hope for the future and peace in the now. Â What are these words?….these words can only be:
Say it out loud, right now, feel how those words feel, those are three of the most impactful words you will ever say to someone. Â Those three little words can turn EVERYTHING around for the better. Â “I Love You” said with true meaning and heart can raise a shattered soul from the gutter and uplift it so much that it will be dancing with the birds around the sun.
When was the last time you told someone you loved them? Â I know you know they know it, but when did you actually look them in the eyes, hold their hands and say to them “I Love you”?
Do it today, do it for yourself and do it for them……make today an “I Love You” day. Â I KNOW it will make you and the other person feel so good.

To a Very Special Friend
I was in a local charity shop yesterday and stumbled across this lovely little friendship book. On the inside of the book it says, “To Veronica from Valerie,” and I thought that was very cute. Â I began reading some of the verses and poetry from within and the words really did touch my heart, I could relate to every verse. Â There is one verse from Pam Brown which I especially connected with and it made me think of my friend right now, who is far away but I hope to see him very soon.

A little bit of motivation goes a long long way. Â I love anything motivational and inspirational, so much so that I’ve got to get my daily fix. Â I usually listen to 1-2 hours of motivational stuff when I wake up in the morning and then often listen to more throughout the day when I can. Â Below is a list of just some of my favourite motivational and inspirational people:
This helps me to stay super focused on developing myself in order to achieve my goals and dreams in life. Â This journey of life can mess with your heart and mind sometimes – if you let it, so I believe it’s always good to have a mechanism or process that works for you to get you “back on track”.
My original music and poetry comes from a peaceful place in my heart and soul and I would definitely say that “hanging around” everyday with the above inspirational people has certainly helped me to achieve that and believe in myself.

Think Feel Do
I want you to think about this, how do you usually respond to the people and circumstances around you when you are in a low mood? Chances are if you’re anything like me, not very positively. Wouldn’t it be best then to wait until your mood changes to a much more positive mood before you respond to situations. Yes, I know you can’t wait forever because this is life and you will want to be getting on with things, but if you take ‘time’ out of the equation and focus more on changing your thinking about the situation then ‘time’ will not be the main issue……you just have to change your thinking. You see it’s all really about THINK, FEEL, DO – let me explain. Your thinking comes first, which then determines how you feel which is then followed by what you do, so if you don’t like what you’re doing or how you’re feeling change the way you think.
High Mood
I want to encourage you to really think about what you’re thinking before you respond to anything in your life. When you are in a high mood you will be thinking good thoughts and good feelings and behaviour will follow. When you are in a high mood you are much better equipped to tap into your true wisdom and you will find it much easier to come up with the solution to any problems you have.
Hopefully this post will give you some food for thought.

Question: Â
When was the last time you laughed and I mean like a good old “belly laugh”?
My Answer:
I honestly do laugh every day, however the last time I remember having a good old “belly laugh” was when I visited my mum recently for a cup of tea, we were having a nice chat and she said something that surprised me, it was so unexpected I could not stop laughing and because I was laughing so much she couldn’t stop laughing either. Â I am even laughing thinking about it now. Â
Life can be oh too serious at times and sometimes you just need to laugh out loud, go on have a laugh with your friends today, watch a funny movie or listen to your favourite comedian, whatever it is just you make sure you laugh then I know you will feel amazing.
May this month of August be filled with sweet laughter for you.

Seed of Change
Every person you have not connected with yet is a potential friend, companion, confidante or seed of change. Â There is indeed a friend in each stranger and every day we let potential friends pass us by. Â A gentle smile towards another can surely make their day, for a smile is one form of communication that no matter what the language barrier, it will always warm another’s heart.
My heart speaks to you today, it is graciously smiling like an upside down rainbow – colourful, magical and beaming with joy. I have been reflecting today on the wonderful close friends I have in my life, some of them I have known for over 30 years of my life and others for about one year. Regardless of the length of time I have known them, each and everyone of them is very special to me, their support is second to none and just talking to them instantly uplifts my spirits to another dimension. Â This poem is dedicated to my dearest friends, Donna, Sharon, Richard, Debbie and Dagmar, I shall champion you forever, thank you for all that you give me and much more. May I encourage you to let your friends know how truly special they are to you.
Friendship has true meaning, a simple gifted treasure,
When you’re feeling a little stuck, or need a partner for your leisure.
A real friend will be there, always just for you,
Holding your hand, to help you see tough times through.
An empathetic listening ear, gentle hug or warm smile,
A forever empowering note, that goes the extra mile.
Friendship is so sweet, like sugar in your tea,
Friends separate from the ‘I’ and turn it into ‘We’.
Friendship is the gift, of endearment and inner strength,
To support you indeed, friends will go to arms length.
Today I reflect on my friends, who are so very dear,
Like beautiful guardian angels, they bring me good cheer.
So wherever your dreams take you, please remember to tell,
Your friends that they are magical, like an enchanting wishing well.

Here is the second of my poems that I did for my nieces and nephew the other day. Â The poem below was created for Megan (age 6), such a fun loving, creative child and really so clever, her favourite subject at school is maths. Â Megan was so excited to hear the poem I had created for her, “are you finished Auntie Claire…..are you finished yet?” she kept saying. Â When I read the poem out to her she had this massive big smile on her face and said “I like it….it’s nice, read it to me again”. Â Now, Megan wants me to present the poem for her in a pink frame with silver sparkles around it and with a background of lovehearts, flowers and puppy dogs – a very cute challenge I have ahead of me!! Â Here is Megan’s poem below:

 Megan we love you, you’re full of fun,
So clever and special, our number one.

I was in Auntie Claire role the other day and spent some quality time with my 2 lovely nieces, Megan (age 6) and Carmen (11 months) and my gorgeous nephew, Sean (age 8). I am so proud to have those 3 beautiful children in my life, I just love them so much. Â We were playing around and I asked them if they wanted me to write a poem for each of them and they got so excited. Â Below is the poem I created for Carmen and I am delighted to say all of their eyes lit up with joy when I read each of their poems out to them, I could see it really made them feel so very special….and they are. Â Here is the first of these poems below.
Oh Little Carmen
Oh little Carmen, we love you so,
The cutest little girl, in a pretty pink bow.
You light up our hearts, with the smile upon your face,
A special treasure forever, the sweetest grace.
The brightest light, shines from you,
Stronger than the sun, in the sky so blue.
An angel of fun, with a curious mind,
