This Sleepless City

You brought me here,
alone not lonely,
poetic in thought,
memories of only.

With hope in my heart,
as the autumn night appears,
happiness is peaceful,
after all these years.

This sleepless city,
plays magic and mystery,
welcoming the new,
hidden in the history.

I see smiles of love,
in the core of it all,
charismatic laughter,
a musical call.

Lost in those friendships,
whispering secrets to me,
sharing a life,
that makes me happy.
