There is so much choice out there, it can become overwhelming.
Gone are the days when you’d walk into a cafe and just ask for a simple coffee or tea. Multiple options and different variations on everyday products are ever-increasing.
Isn’t that a good thing?
Possibly – not sure – not for me!
I guess it depends on where you’re at in life and what you’re moving towards.
I’m in the minimize, “keep it simple” phase of life. I want to declutter, have less “things” and less noise – maybe I’m just getting old!
I’d like to call it wiser, with a desire to “experience” the natural beauty of life, in a more simplistic and balanced way.
I’d now prefer to drink water, rather than from a choice of hundreds of different other beverage options.
I want to cook a healthy nutritious meal at home, versus sitting in a crowded, overpriced restaurant.
I love going for a walk in nature and doing daily home exercises, as opposed to working out in a sweaty, overcrowed basement gym, with no natural light.
I now totally understand the common phrase “less is more“, because I think that’s what life should be more about.
Savouring the “little things” – appreciating morning sunrises, spotting a little robin in your garden or crossing paths with a squirrel on your park walk – this is how we truly bond with life.
Set yourself free, by detaching from “stuff”. You really don’t need 50+ handbags or 100+ pair of shoes, and if you think you do, well you need to self-investigate that!
Did you take time to watch the beautiful sunset yesterday?
I do hope you didn’t miss that!
Thank you for your presence here, it is an honour….always!
