I received a very special ‘kiss on the cheek’ today. Why was it so special?….because I sensed it came from a very caring, honest place and was wrapped in love and kindness. You know the kind of kiss I mean…. innocent and sweet, a kiss that seems to flow through every cell of your body – I can still feel it on my cheek now. If you could offer up one of those special kisses to someone’s cheek today, who would you give that gentle kind kiss to? I Love You

Very dear friends of mine are celebrating 50 years of marriage this weekend, and I wanted to get them a very special gift from me, so I thought about writing them a beautiful poem of their amazing partnership together and putting it in a lovely frame. I Love You

We dance in love, embracing our time together

50 years have passed and we shine, whatever the weather

A glimpse of hope, a sparkle in the soul,

Together as one, now we are whole

The smiles on our faces, tell the story

Of a bond so strong, entwined in gracious glory

We let love in, our hearts did melt

Stars in our eyes, passionately heartfelt

This new chapter in our life, like our wedding day

Is a golden anniversary reflection, of the vows we did say

We celebrate our laughter, and the magic so true

I have just finished reading the book ‘The Path to Love’ by Deepak Chopra and I wanted to share with you an enlightening quote from the book, “You know that you have fully experienced love when you turn into love – that is the spiritual goal of life”. To Rekindle A Heart

Meaningful relationships hold a special place in your heart, sometimes they last forever, sometimes we allow the pressures of life to stretch the bond so far that it breaks. I believe however, that the invisible connection that first brought these human souls together will never die. Where there is real love, there is a way, often a different way. What happens next may take you on a spectacular journey of hope, mystery and magical bliss – dare you risk it?. . . . maybe yes or maybe no – this potentially rekindled love is indeed your life choice. I dedicate this next poem to the joining of two hearts that are just meant to be together. And even if none of this makes sense to you, the heartfelt message I am conveying is: May serendipity prevail. Lots of love Clarabelle.

To Rekindle A Heart

Just, when I see you there

I take a step, I feel your stare

My soul is taken, to another place

My eyes fill up, as I see your face

For love was present, there one time

We laughed, we danced, we joked in rhyme

An unbreakable bond, we once had

I’m glad ‘we’ happened, I am not sad

These emotions are like clouds, they drift away

But then the lightning strikes, are they here to stay?

To rekindle a heart, to fuel the fire

Is a mixture of sensations, a dream desire

Where hope did live, I knocked on the door

Confusion set in, as I reached out for more

Then you let go, the butterfly did flutter

Stages of healing, rose me up from the gutter

This deep lesson now lives, inside of me

Its wisdom now shared, welcome serendipity

Smile in the moment, sing in the sun

Play in the puddles, for true love is fun

Treasure the knowing and heartfelt forgiving

Choose to be happy, life is for living

Superhero

I was inspired to write the following poem after spending some time with a new friend in my life, his spirit was very refreshing and his soul was very honest and true. I sensed he was coming from a good place and it was that real connection with him that led me to write ‘Superhero’.

Superhero

Here comes the superhero into the night

Flying around, so wonderful and bright

There is magic in his eyes, I see he is brave

A courageous manner, towards all he will save

His strength is not obvious, it comes from within

A growing heart, that’s looking for its twin

Softly spoken, comes out these wise words

Turning my mind, like humming birds

Shall I ask him the question, that I want to know

How he picks up my spirits, when I’m feeling low

It Made My Heart Smile

I received a lovely supportive email the other day from my good friend and business partner Debbie Hollingsworth. Debbie was offering me her enthusiasm and encouragement regarding the Charity Walk that my mum and I did on Sunday – that email really made my day. Debbie ended the email with ‘It made my heart smile’, I loved that phrase and I told her I was going to write a poem about it. This next poem is dedicated to Debbie, thank you for your inspiration and wonderful friendship.

What makes your heart smile?

What makes you go the extra mile?

What is the passion, that burns deep in you?

Choices and decisions, so important to pick

Battles of Life

Today I seem to be in a strong creative flow, fully connected to my inner emotions and life experiences. It takes me to another place, another dimension brought on from memories of the past and thoughts of what could be. I feel the words in my heart, they strengthen my self awareness and help me to understand the person I am today. I continue to try to master the art of letting go. . . .what will be, will be. Goodbye my love, like ships passing in the night

Our paths crossed, the lights were bright

The waves were fun, swept away in emotion

Our hearts danced, under the moonlit ocean

Feelings were high, but so were our fears

My Heart is Dancing

The strange thing is, I forgot about this for a while, I didn’t listen to the sounds that made me come alive……I have now discovered that again and every morning it is now part of my early wake up call. It is in this blank canvas that our dreams can be nurtured into reality. By embracing change and stretching ourselves outside our comfort zones, we hold the key to an exciting new world. Goodbye to my past, I’m letting go of you

Now I focus on the present, this beauty is shining through

I’ve closed the door to your love and finally have moved on

Too many sleepless nights, and worry from dusk til dawn

I didn’t need another, to help me close the book

I know the early chapters, were always worth a look

But the best is yet to come, the rainbow is on its way

What does it really mean to have faith? Faith is taking the next step without seeing the whole staircase and ‘Faith is the bird that sings to the dawn while it is still dark’ [Tagore]. Beautiful words and very true, without faith in ourselves and without faith in others, where would we be? The following poem is about love and believing in faith, whatever that maybe for you.

Motion pictures, in my mind

Broken heart, love was blind

Where is the stage, that I do seek?

Empty soul, I feel so weak.

Excited thoughts, of what could be

Embraced together, that’s you and me

But now the gap, swells up inside

I let it go, because of pride

My mouth was dry, I lay on the ground

The words got stuck, just silence, no sound

My dreams of white, as you lead the way

Are lost forever, what do I say

What do I do, is there hope at all?

Let me break these chains, kick down the wall

The audience awaits, with tears in their eyes

The curtain is called, to my surprise

There you stand, with a smile on your face

Is this real, as I stand in this place

Friendship is the Gift

I have been reflecting today on the wonderful close friends I have in my life, some of them I have known for over 30 years of my life and others for about one year. Regardless of the length of time I have known them, each and everyone of them is very special to me, their support is second to none and just talking to them instantly uplifts my spirits to another dimension. This poem is dedicated to my dearest friends, Donna, Sharon, Debbie and Dagmar, I shall champion you forever, thank you for all that you give me and much more. May I encourage you to let your friends know how truly special they are to you.

Friendship has true meaning, a simple gifted treasure

When you’re feeling a little stuck, or a partner for your leisure

A real friend will be there, always just for you

Holding your hand, to help you see tough times through

An empathetic listening ear, gentle hug or warm smile

A forever empowering note, that goes the extra mile

Friendship is so sweet, like sugar in your tea

Friends separate from the ‘I’ and turn it into ‘We’

Friendship is the gift, of endearment and inner strength

This Love For You

Sometimes our hidden love for another is so deep, it silently creeps to the surface and rocks our world forever. To ignore this calling would surely haunt the heart for an eternity. Love is often mistaken as a feeling but love is a doing word, to receive love you have to give love..so go on ‘Just Do Love’ and fill your life with the richness it truly deserves. This next poem is all about being brave and opening the door to love.

This love for you, torments my core

I hear it’s knock, upon my door

Do I answer, say hello?

Or keep it hidden, deep below

It hurts sometimes, the emotions are strong

Is this the place, where I belong?

It stops and starts, but the engine has fuel

Do I give out my heart and let love rule?

To be honest, this feels dangerous for me

The fear is greater than to let this love be

But to not let love in, would feel heavy on my heart

We all have dreams, some of us make them happen and some of us hold on to them in our imagination and never let them go, allowing them to sleep silently in the midst of our minds and that’s okay, if that feels right for you. I would say that I am a dreamer, my dreams make me feel alive, for me I need to take action towards making them come true, because in my opinion, without dreams the world would be a lifeless place. This next poem was triggered by looking at a photograph of an absolutely stunning sunset, it was so hypnotic and mesmerising that I just had to write. This is what the imagination created, I hope it awakens your spirit too.

I watch the sunset, through your eyes

You are full of mystery and surprise

The brightest stars, the highest moon

Sparkling forever, in your cocoon

Your genuine spirit, is shining through

A magical paradise, as I dream of you

Often we go through life and we forget how influential our closest family members have been in our life. This poem is a heartfelt sentiment to my wonderful and beautiful younger sister,who through the highs and lows of my life has always been there for me. When we were young sis, we always used to fight

Early in the morning and mostly every night

I didn’t really appreciate back then, the special person in you

I now recognise that failing, so evident and true

But as we got older, I changed my poor sisterly ways

You became a best friend and we went on holidays

I love you my dear sister, you are so special to me

More than you’ll ever know, more than I let you see

I always feel so happy, when you are around

You cheer up the room, lots of laughter is your sound

And always when I need you, to my door you come a knocking

There with open arms and then we do some talking

You laugh at your own jokes and I find that very funny

Your spirit is so alive and your attitude is always sunny

This poem was requested by a wonderful gentleman whose beautiful dog ‘Chuck’ sadly passed away recently.
