If you were a colour

Don’t you just love colours, sunny yellow, ocean blue, snowy white  – don’t they just seem to uplift your mood – well, they certainly put me higher spirits.  We all radiate beauty, like the spectrum of a rainbow, our colours shine from within and impact outwardly on the people we meet.  If you were a colour, what colour would you be?   Today, I would be a gold star, shining bright and feeling happy.

If you were a colour, what colour would you be?

Would you be bright orange or green like a tree?

Or maybe you’d be blue, like the deepest sea

A snowy white or a yellow bumble bee

Whatever your colour, whatever you see

Radiates beauty within you and me

A daring red, if that’s what you’ll be

Or a silver moon, just unlock the key

The rainbow is smiling, I’m filled with glee

Magical colours, can make you feel so happy

I Dream of You

We all have dreams, some of us make them happen and some of us hold on to them in our imagination and never let them go, allowing them to sleep silently in the midst of our minds and that’s okay, if that feels right for you.

I would say that I am a dreamer, my dreams make me feel alive, for me I need to take action towards making them come true, because in my opinion, without dreams the world would be a lifeless place.

This next poem was triggered by looking at a photograph of an absolutely stunning sunset, it was so hypnotic and mesmerising that I just had to write.  This is what the imagination created, I hope it awakens your spirit too.

Image

I Dream of You

I watch the sunset, through your eyes

You are full of mystery and surprise

The brightest stars, the highest moon

Sparkling forever, in your cocoon

Your genuine spirit, is shining through

A magical paradise, as I dream of you

I feel your heart, connecting with me

The most powerful magnet, the eyes cannot see

I’m drenched in your soul, the river is deep

Together as one, this moment we shall keep

This Love For You

Sometimes our hidden love for another is so deep, it silently creeps to the surface and rocks our world forever.  To ignore this calling would surely haunt the heart for an eternity. Love is often mistaken as a feeling but love is a doing word, to receive love you have to give love..so go on ‘Just Do Love’ and fill your life with the richness it truly deserves.  This next poem is all about being brave and opening the door to love.

This love for you, torments my core

I hear it’s knock, upon my door

Do I answer, say hello?

Or keep it hidden, deep below

It hurts sometimes, the emotions are strong

Is this the place, where I belong?

It stops and starts, but the engine has fuel

Do I give out my heart and let love rule?

To be honest, this feels dangerous for me

The fear is greater than to let this love be

But to not let love in, would feel heavy on my heart

Seeing you walk off, feeling sad as you depart

So I’ll be brave, let courage win

I’ll share with you my soul and let love in

The Best is yet to Come

Throughout our journey of life, the book holds many lessons but sometimes we get stuck in a chapter and fear the creation of a brand new page.  It is in this blank canvas that our dreams can be nurtured into reality.  By embracing change and stretching ourselves outside our comfort zones, we hold the key to an exciting new world.  This next poem is all about ‘letting go’ and feeling free enough to turn the page of life.

Goodbye to my past, I’m letting go of you

Now I focus on the present, this beauty is shining through

I’ve closed the door to your love and finally have moved on

Too many sleepless nights, and worry from dusk til dawn

I didn’t need another, to help me close the book

I know the early chapters, were always worth a look

But the best is yet to come, the rainbow is on its way

It paints a bright picture, of the excited thoughts I hold today

Each step forward, I dance between the puddles

Like an umbrella of magic, embraced with joyful cuddles

Some will join the journey, others will choose to stay

But I will not forget you, in my heart for you I pray

Life can turn around fast, but only if that’s your choice

I say yes to change, by listening to my inner voice

Let Life In

Having a positive attitude will always shine through, enjoying each new day will provide you with the inner fuel to keep your passion alive.  Break out, set your mind free, let your heart smile and share the positivity.  This next poem is for you, have a truly wonderful day.

Celebrate each brand new day

Let life in and lead the way

Embrace the moment, take a chance

Go for it, smile and dance

For happy are the enthusiastic ones

Their passion shines through, hearts beating like drums

Listen to the sound, it’s made from you

The orchestra plays, to whatever you do

Sing out loud, take the challenge on

Live in the moment, before it’s gone

Sister Dear Sister

Often we go through life and we forget how influential our closest family members have been in our life.  This poem is a heartfelt sentiment to my wonderful and beautiful younger sister, who through the highs and lows of my life has always been there for me.  Thank you Leanne, you are so very special to me, more than you’ll ever know.

When we were young sis, we always used to fight

Early in the morning and mostly every night

I didn’t really appreciate back then, the special person in you

I now recognise that failing, so evident and true

But as we got older, I changed my poor sisterly ways

You became a best friend and we went on holidays

I love you my dear sister, you are so special to me

More than you’ll ever know, more than I let you see

I always feel so happy, when you are around

You cheer up the room, lots of laughter is your sound

And always when I need you, to my door you come a knocking

There with open arms and then we do some talking

You laugh at your own jokes and I find that very funny

Your spirit is so alive and your attitude is always sunny

Sister dear sister, you’ve made my life so great

I couldn’t ask for a better sister, 10 out of 10 you rate

Personal Evolution

I have been listening to the audio book ‘The 28 Laws of Attraction’ by Thomas J. Leonard and there are some golden nuggets of wisdom within this, which have enhanced my own learning and development.  I particularly love what he feels is the next stage of personal development and that is ‘personal evolution’…..this next poem is inspired by just that.  May your day be filled with golden nuggets of wisdom that inspire you to do great things.  Lots of love Clarabelle

Personal Evolution

On this path you grow, with all your might

At the crossroads you may stand, which way is right?

From the depths of your heart, you will evolve

Expanding your intelligence, problems you do solve

Your ability is innate, a gift from above

Personal evolution is your next stage, discover it with love.

Discover a New Path

What are YOU waiting for?  What can you influence in your life?  I encourage you today to have a pro-active mind, to take control of your destiny and make things happen for you. Go on, you know you can do it. . . . . open the door to life.  Wishing you a beautiful day full of magical moments and pro-activity.

Discover a New Path

Time after time lessons come, and lessons go

Let life in, this is your show

The waiting game, slows down the clock

Open the door, don’t wait for the knock

A pro-active mind, is prepared for the now

Planning ahead, will answer the how

Discover a new path, to travel on

Where dreams of hope, are never gone

Explore, take charge and do what needs done

Put yourself out there and the rest will come

Make This Moment Count

I had a catch up today with one of my friends who is going through a rather tough time just now, feeling ‘stuck’ and struggling to make a positive change in their life.  We can all experience that at one time in our lives or another.   I offered up a listening ear, my full support and encouragement, they were very brave to share their feelings with me today and this self-awareness is the first step of their path to change.  The following poem is about that.

Make This Moment Count

Stuck in life, with nowhere to go

More downs than up, just feeling low

It’s tough to change, this situation around

To find inner strength, to lift yourself from the ground

But you can do it, just make the choice

To depart from the old, listen to your voice

The world is open, to your magic within

Take the first step, I know you can win

I want to see, a smile on your face

To light up the room, with your warm embrace

Give yourself time and make a plan

Keep a positive attitude and stick with ‘I can’

True support and encouragement, from loved ones is there

Make this moment count, face you fears, if you dare

There is always a way, don’t give up the fight

I believe in you, it’s all going to be alright

Make it Happen

There are many great mentors and coaches in this world and one that I choose to learn from is the wonderful and wise Jim Rohn, “if you can change, everything will change for you” – go to work on yourself more than your job and share life’s lesson with others.  Imagine the life you want, have faith in your abilities, do the work and measure your progress, this is one way of learning to live a good life.  This next poem is inspired by just that.  Be the architect of your dream life.

Make it Happen

Design your life, the way it should be

From the money in your pocket, to feeling free

To the sounds in your life and the books you do read

Who you’re around and everything you need

Take the time, to plan it out well

Make it happen, under your spell

True magic exists, when you really believe

That a fulfilling life, you can achieve

Take in the knowledge, embrace the dream

Collaborate with others, work as a team

Go to work on yourself and measure it all

Progress will motivate you, this is your call

Creativity Flows

Imagination is the highest kite that one can fly.  Being in creative flow is a magical experience that we all have the power to achieve.  This next poem is inspired by the creativity within us all – unleash your human potential today.

Creativity Flows

Swinging from the clouds so high

Dancing with stars, in the midnight sky

Feel the fresh air, upon your face

Worries banish, without a trace

Imagination brings, wonderful things

Lost in its beauty, the sweet angel sings

Creativity flows and my soul is at one

The mind is free and the feeling is fun

The inner voice is calling, pen to paper I go

Writing true words, row after row

The meaning is heartfelt and empowering for you

Express yourself greatly and happiness shines through

The Sun Will Come Out

Sometimes we go through life either suppressing our emotions or expressing them, often in the wrong way, for example, we might react to our emotions rather than responding to the situation.  A way forward would be to accept the feelings for what they are and then let them go, like passing clouds in the sky.  By letting go you create the space in your mind to come up with the right solution for you.  This poem is dedicated to the power of ‘letting go’ and moving forward in life.

Sometimes you’ve got to, just let go

Accept the feelings, let them show

To suppress all the time, will not help you

To express the wrong way, may make you feel blue

So what is the answer, when this is your way?

See the emotions as clouds, just passing today

The sun will come out and melt frozen hearts

Warming up the soul, as the thunderstorm departs

Life is not easy, sometimes we get stuck

Focusing on the good stuff, may change your luck

Keep a smile on your face and laugh out loud

Hold your head up high, feel happy and proud

Happiness Happiness

I recently heard someone saying, “happiness does not come from success, success comes from happiness”.  I had a wonderful conversation with my friend today and we chatted about happiness coming from the smallest, simple things in life – being grateful for family, close friends and meaningful relationships.  This next poem is inspired by just that. I wish you a very happy day, full of abundance and love.

Happiness, happiness, what does it mean for you?

The little things in life, so special and so true

A hug, a kiss, a warm and friendly smile

The sun in the sky, or raindrops for a while

The first flower that blossoms, and blooms for all to see

Holding hands in unity, giving love from you to me

Spending time with family, laughing, having fun

Feeling fresh air on your face, when out for a run

The smell of fresh cut grass, awakens senses inside

Celebrating with friends and walking on sands at tide

Whatever it means for you, just let happiness be

True fulfilment in the now and the feeling of being free

Open the door to life

Poem, Open the Door to Life

My day job is an Executive Coach and I work with individuals to break through barriers and make positive changes in their life.  Recently I have coached a few people who are doing just that, they are now ready and willing to face the stormy waters to eventually get to the calm sea ahead.  The weather may be changeable and challenging at times but by riding the huge waves, it makes us stronger from within.  Real change happens from the ‘inside out’, start there first.  This indeed inspired this next poem.

Open the Door to Life

What’s stopping you, from dancing in the rain?

What’s keeping you, from moving away from the pain?

The clouds will move on, the sunshine will appear

Uplifting your spirits and filling you with cheer

Just take a moment, to treasure all you’ve got

I bet when you really think about it, you have such alot

Open the door to life, let the fresh air in

Don’t let the bumps on the road, keep you from a win

For there comes a time, when enough is enough

Lift your head high and challenge the rough

Soon you’ll be amazed, what you can achieve

Smile with an open heart and really do believe

I wish I was a Butterfly

Poem, I Wish I Was A Butterfly

The poem below signifies for me how my own journey relates to that of the metamorphosis process of the butterfly.  Metamorphosis is a Greek word that means transformation or change in shape.  I am fully aware that some people don’t like change, they might prefer to stay in their ‘comfort zone’ as they don’t want to face their deepest fears.  However, sometimes it is more painful to stay tight in a bud than it is to flourish and blossom.  For me, this is a process that is not to be rushed and where true patience is welcomed in life.  There is only one constant in life and that is ‘change’ – put yourself in the driving seat!!

I Wish I Was a Butterfly

I wish I was a butterfly, dancing in the air

Sparking in the sunshine, so wonderful and rare

The beauty is in the detail, the colours so bright

I watch you fluttering, in the magical sunlight

You are on a journey, now you are free

To move in the moment, like a honeybee

Fragile in my hands, strong in the mind

I’m mesmerised by your life, it’s one of a kind

Sweet, sweet, butterfly, where do you go?

A soft breeze under your wings, only you do know

You’ve awakened my soul, the world is your own

You’ve come through the stages, developed and grown

I look in the mirror and to my surprise

A butterfly is on my shoulder, I can’t believe my eyes

You represent freespirit, inside of me

You whisper the truth, of what I’ve always wanted to be

Today I am here, with my dreams in my heart

The suitcase is ready, waiting to depart

The destination is exciting, I’ve waited so long

Now I am ready, I know where I belong

Patience was a virtue, so evident and true

Babysteps forward, from the back of the queue

I’m next in line, a new chapter awaits

As I close the door behind me and enter new gates

Thank you dear butterfly, you’ve taught me alot

This life is for living, as I join the last dot.

Shine Like A Star

Poem, Shine Like A Star

I was inspired to write the following poem because sometimes in life, we just need to take a break and recharge the batteries.  At times we can push the boundaries to the edge of the mountain because we are so passionate and on purpose, however, be careful not to overstep the mark.  We have to look after ourselves so we can give our best and achieve ultimate peace of mind.  Be aware of the signals that are coming through, the mind, body and spirit will let you know if it is out of balance – see this signal as part of the solution to make positive changes that will uplift your being and enhance your soul.  The power is in your hands.

Shine Like A Star

Take good care of the person that’s you

You’ll then shine like a star, in whatever you do

Rest when you need it, just take a break

Recharge the batteries, before you awake

Life can be exciting, but over-stretching too

Your passion will not fade, it lives in you

Create the space, the mind deserves

Relax the body, to build up reserves

Take a deep breath, detox the soul

Your frequency will change and your heart will stay whole

Out of the Shade

Poem, Out of the Shade

I wrote this poem only yesterday, it is about a recent time in my life when I was unwell and felt trapped in the situation.  Thankfully the sun is shining on me now but I remember those stormy days where I had to use every ounce of my inner strength to keep me sane and battle on…..it is in these difficult times in life when the courageous soul emerges with open arms, you just have to believe it is there.

Out of the Shade

Through the darkest moments and darkest days – where is the light?

When my mind feels trapped and I cannot sleep, into the night

What a horrible feeling, when times are tough

The way out is lonely, the weather is rough

My soul is a prisoner, to all I have thought

My heart it feels dead but it cannot be bought

My values are here – an inner guidance they bring

Like the first musical note, before I do sing

They keep me sane and hold me together

They carry me forward, like I’m light as a feather

As I trudge through the snow, I call out my name

Keep going, don’t stop, treat life as a game

The character within me, fights through the shell

I punch and I kick, until I feel well

In this battle, although the bruises give me pain

No blood has been shed and inner strength I did gain

And as time passes by, the emotional scars they do fade

I walk into the sunlight and out of the shade
