Here I Stand

Perception is everything

Tearful clouds

Umbrella huddles

Coffee magic

Boots in puddles

***

Kisses of hope

Refreshingly ignite

Hands that hold

Reflections of light

***

Rainy days

Melt my soul

Magnetic in nature

Nurturing and whole

***

Abundantly it drops

Like falling autumn leaves

Captivating moments

Caressing windswept trees

***

Air quenches

Thirsty land

Misty mystery

Here I stand

I was thinking about the beauty of the rain today and how igniting it feels for me.

The rain looks especially pretty, dancing amongst the vibrant city lights.

Why do I love the rain so much?

What does the rain give me, that makes me feel so alive inside?

I guess, I internalise rain, like a reset button, releasing trapped energy and setting my soul free.

Next time you see it raining outside, think about it in a positive way.

Perspective is everything.

Enjoy every part of life’s process, no matter the weather.

Thank you for being here, come rain or shine.

Rock in the Rain

Refreshed by the rain

This morning I awakened to the beautiful sound of rain outside.

I was so ready to be refreshed by the rain – I love it!

I remember as a young child wanting to play in the rain, when others would hide indoors.

I was the little girl who chaotically jumped in and out of the puddles, singing and dancing to my heart’s content.

Splish, splosh, splashit was so much fun!

I am super excited to go out a walk today in the rain – I find it truly envigorating.

I do enjoy the sunshine too, but I’m not a fan of it whilst living in London City Centre.

On a hot summer’s day here in London, it can get very humid, with stuffy vehicle polluted air, smelly outdoor bins and stenching drains. Sorry, not my dream environment.

That’s why I welcome the pretty rain here today.  It cools the air, clears away city pollution and washes the bins and drains. A total big city cleanse!

I’ve got my huge umbrella on standby and I’m getting ready to rock in the rain!

In the past, when I was training for marathons, I would get crazy excited about running in the torrential rain, frosty mornings, high winds and even snow blizzards. When it was sunny, I never looked forward to running.

I guess you could say I’m a true Scottish lass through in through – welcoming four seasons in one day!

No matter the weather, be grateful for your beautiful presence in this day. For come rain or shine, life is for abundantly living and dreams are waiting to be achieved.

It’s your life – GO GET IT!
