Today I am going to go on a day trip to Balmaha Bay, Balloch, Scotland with my mum and during that trip I am going to be “snap happy” as I will be taking some beautiful photos for my new eBook that’s coming out, “It’s All About Gratitude”. I am excited about doing this and it will also be really lovely to spend a day with my mum.
I love Balmaha Bay, for me it is a place of deep beauty and peaceful tranquility and sometimes this is just what the doctor ordered. 🙂

Progress
I set myself high standards because I want to be the best that I can be. I want to become a better person every day, sometimes I get this right, sometimes I don’t, but as long as I learn from it and apply the learning going forward, I know I will progress.
I don’t strive to be perfect, what is perfect anyway? To me the closest thing to perfect is in the imperfections, that I feel is our uniqueness. I don’t want to be like anybody else, I just want to be me, I like being me and I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

Where is YOUR life going?…..
I have been doing a lot of de-cluttering lately, and yesterday whilst clearing out my bedroom cupboards, I came across some poetry and songs that I had written many years ago. I will share these poems/songs with you on this blog. The poem below was written in 1996, at a time in my life when I was very unhappy in my job. I remember, I used to take ‘time-out’ during my job tasks and drift off to another world, I would secretly write poems and songs about my life and what could be. I Dream of You…..
We all have dreams, some of us make them happen and some of us hold on to them in our imagination and never let them go, allowing them to sleep silently in the midst of our minds and that’s okay, if that feels right for you.
I would say that I am a dreamer, my dreams make me feel alive, for me I need to take action towards making them come true, because in my opinion, without dreams the world would be a lifeless place.
This next poem was triggered by looking at a photograph of an absolutely stunning sunset, it was so hypnotic and mesmerising that I just had to write. This is what the imagination created, I hope it awakens your spirit too.

Give yourself time,
And make a plan.
Keep a positive attitude,

What does your action plan look like?
I have a plan, a vision, a strong desire for changing things for myself for the better and you know what, the plan is working, it is starting to show me results in the areas I am wanting them.
I think it really does go to show, that you get more of what you focus upon, this is so true. You do have to put the work in though, but if it’s a strong passionate desire you’re working towards, then the work is never an issue and often the work is a complete joy.
I have a plan, a BIG plan and it’s working.
I urge you today to get yourself a plan, and then put it into daily action, yes, moment to moment, go to work on your plan – it may take some time but you will get there, believe me, YOU WILL.

Snowman competition…..

There was a competition,
Whose snowman was the best.
All the villagers took part,
This was a frosty test.
Snowmen of different sizes,
Displayed a smiley face.
They stood there icy proud,
In this marshmallow place.
But one thing that stood out,
Oh so very clear.
Was all of the snowmen,
Were alone this Christmas Year.
How can you build a snowman,
All alone in this town.
That’s not very fair,
His heart will have a frown.
No snowman should be lonely,

They should be with another,

Hold on to this beautiful message forever…..
I was at my cousin’s very beautiful wedding on Friday, it was such a glorious day and I could really feel love’s energy in the air, it was like being constantly cuddled by someone you love.
The wedding ceremony was so very special and the wedding party looked stunning. The Pastor who married the couple did a sermon at the end of the service and it was based around the theme of ‘love’ and I loved what he said. During his sermon he said “love does not look back”and then he went on to talk about what that actually means in a relationship. It really did make me think and I believe that I was meant to be there that day and to hear that message.

Thank you for the message, I have travelled far and wide to reach it, unknowingly, that it was always by my side.
She looked out of the window,
on Christmas Day.
She remembered her past,
a time to pray.
For now she is older,
she is eighty three,
and sits alone,
there’s no “you and me”.
She had a love,
a husband that cared,
They loved Christmas,
everything was shared.
But he passed away,
10 years ago.
She remembers his smile,
and them dancing in the snow.
She isn’t sad,
she doesn’t feel lonely.
She is grateful for this life,
and her one and only.
She misses him much,
he’s always in her thoughts,
On Christmas morn,
He’d say “I love you lots”.
She awaits her carriage,
her wonderful son.
Who is so special,
he looks after his mum.
Today she is part of,
a family filled with joy.
With 4 happy grandchildren,
3 girls and a boy.

I went to visit one of my clients yesterday and he had this book on his desk called ‘Your Body Doesn’t Lie’ by John Diamond, M.D. I asked him about the book and he kindly gave it to me to read – I have just finished the book this evening and I want to share with you a little of what it says about the positive effects of reading poetry in relation to your inner wellbeing. One of the techniques it shares for increasing your Life Energy is to recite a verse or two of poetry or look at a landscape painting. What if I share my tips on cheering yourself up. So these are a few really basic tips on cheering yourself up.
Be Warned : This is a very girly blog.
1. Pamper. Being a girly girl, I love a good pamper session. Run a bath, chuck in your entire lush collection. I’m talking bubbles, bath bomb, soap. Have a nice long bath, take a magazine or a book your currently reading and just relax.
2. Listen to music. Sometimes when your sad listening to sad songs fits the mood, but ignore the need for sad music. Upbeat, happy songs will help you feel much better.

to move on from the old,
where once felt warm,
now feels cold.

freeing the knots.
Believe in your strength,
at vulnerable times,
that your treasured heart,
