A little mission filled with a lot of love

My lovely Mum has recently turned 82 years, and I must say, she is as fit as a fiddle and mentally very strong. Such a blessing, I know.

I found it very sad though, when she told me, the little Village where she lives, stopped putting up an outdoor Christmas tree and festive street lights, a few years back. Unfortunately, spending by the local Council has to be reduced, which I do completely understand, and these little extra special niceties are let go first.

I know my Mum used to love looking out her window and see her little Village in full festive flair – I guess, it really brightened her day.

I had no idea, how special it meant to my Mum and I am sure, other Village residents. I can tell my Mum misses that little piece of Carfin Christmas magic!

Don’t get me wrong, my Mum does have her own Christmas tree to sparkle and enjoy in her own living room. But….I don’t want the story to end there….

I will make it my mission, to one day, self-fund an annual Christmas tree and lights for Carfin Village to enjoy again and again and again!

And if the Council does not allow it, that’s okay, my Mum’s front garden, will be its new home, for all to see and celebrate around.

Maybe I’ve watched too many Hallmark movies haha….but this just feels good and right to me.

It’s a little mission filled with a lot of love.

Christmas love is the greatest gift you can share.

Thanksgiving Day

Everyday I am grateful for you

Thanksgiving day is just around the corner and it is a very special celebration to be grateful for.

We don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving Day in the UK, unless we have loved ones close to us who do.

I haven’t had the pleasure of attending a Thanksgiving Day celebration yet but I have been on the receiving end of some beautiful Thanksgiving Day messages from my American friends.

In honour of Thanksgiving Day, I created a lovely Thanksgiving verse and produced it into a Thanksgiving Day Greetings Card. This card is one of my bestsellers on Amazon.

I am so grateful to be part of Thanksgiving Day, in a different kind of way. Forever spreading love and gratitude through my Thanksgiving cards.

I look forward to be present at a future Thanksgiving Day celebration.

Christmas is Coming!

I know, it’s early….very early for some people, but I want you to know, my customers have already started to buy in their Christmas Cards from me.

I believe it’s getting earlier every year and I’m not complaining one tiny bit.

The Autumn/Winter season is usually the best selling months for me. October and November goes crazy for my Thanksgiving Cards and October to end December – Christmas Cards sales are hotter than hot!

The festive season can be stressful, overly busy and dare I say it….expensive! I guess some people like to start early to spread the cost over a few months, rather than all the costs coming out of their December pay packet.

I was always the latter…..but trying to improve on that one.

Afternoon Tea with Good Friends at Hotel Cafe Royal, Regent Street, London

I’m an afternoon tea lover and living here in Central London offers an abundance of exquisite five star options.

I have been very lucky to experience delicious afternoon teas at The Grill Room, formerly the Oscar Wilde Lounge at Hotel Cafe Royal; the Crystal Moon Lounge at the Corinthia and more recently, The Rosebery dining room at the Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge. My favourite so far, was afternoon tea at the Crystal Moon Lounge, it was just perfect in everyway.

I have a joyous meeting coming up, and that is, to take my niece Megan, who will be visiting London from bonny Scotland, to enjoy an extra special afternoon tea and we’re so excited about it.

Research has gone underway and the following afternoon teas are currently on my hit list:

The Ritz – “one of most iconic experiences in the world”

The Savoy – “world-famous afternoon tea”

The Landmark – “London’s most exquisite aftetnoon tea…”

There are many others on my list such as The Dorchester, The Langham, The Shard, Claridges and I just know I’ll get to experience all these in due course.
