I encourage you today to pass on a smile to a stranger or to someone you don’t usually smile at. Go on, you can do it, even if they don’t smile back or acknowledge it outwardly, I can assure you it will touch them inwardly, it will make their heart smile and it will make your heart smile too.

A very warm and lovely welcome to this month’s question. I hope you will get the chance to reflect and answer this question for yourself – my answer is also below. I hope you’re having a fabulous start to February. Lots of love Clarabelle.
What do you love doing, you know that one thing that really makes you smile, that really makes you happy…..who or what is it, I would love to know what lights you up inside?
Even this very question is making me smile inside because it is taking me to happy times. I am sure this will come as no surprise to you, but I really do love writing poetry from the heart and also writing songs. What makes me even happier is knowing that these poems and songs are bringing joy to other people, that truly is the icing on the cake for me. I have a vision that one day I will be standing on stage in front of a huge audience and they are singing along to my own songs. I also have a beautiful vision of driving my car and one of my original songs are playing on the radio. This my friends, I truly believe will happen…..I just believe that in my heart of hearts.
So I hope you really think about this question today and if you’re not doing what you love, make sure you give it your priority this month, because you truly deserve to be happy doing what you LOVE doing.

I hope you celebrated the birth of this new year in style and whatever that is for you I do hope it was very lovely and wonderful. I was away for a few days with my friend and we had lots of fun, it was really nice to get away.
Before I went away I bought some beautiful flowers….pink and red roses, I nearly didn’t buy them, because I was going away, but I then thought the flowers are not just for me they are for my beautiful little home. That was such a lovely decision that I made because when I arrived home yesterday, I was welcomed to their beautiful fresh scent and opening of the roses flowers, it really did make my heart smile inside.
It reminded me of a quote that my friend sent me this Christmas with my Christmas present of white hanging flowers, on the package she wrote for me “Flowers are the smile of the earth”, how lovely and such a beautiful and touching quote.
Another positive from buying the flowers, when I did, is that it has encouraged me to write this blog post and share it with you……I hope you liked me sharing this story with you.
If, “Flowers are the smile of the earth”, let your heart be the garden for them to grow in.

Beautiful Smile
Sometimes we have days when we don’t feel like smiling, sometimes that’s just the way we feel and sometimes there is a person out there who just wants to hold our hand, give us love and help that smile to return. Saddened eyes, tears for a while

Sometimes we all need a little bit of motivation to help us see through the day, when times are tough, sometimes you can be uplifted by hearing the right words. I wrote this song last week which is all about being in “Yes You Can” mode and funnily enough I called it “Yes You Can”. I have created the melody and just need to work on the backing track and getting it recorded but I thought I would share the words here with you today. Seed of Change
Every person you have not connected with yet is a potential friend, companion, confidante or seed of change. There is indeed a friend in each stranger and every day we let potential friends pass us by. A gentle smile towards another can surely make their day, for a smile is one form of communication that no matter what the language barrier, it will always warm another’s heart.
My heart speaks to you today, it is graciously smiling like an upside down rainbow – colourful, magical and beaming with joy. Good morning from beautifully sunny Bonny Scotland. I am really feeling the benefits of de-cluttering my house, I feel the air is lighter and the energy is flowing much more freely around me. Another benefit of having a ‘clear out’, is that I am coming across more song and poetry writings from years ago, I found some more last night. Until now, I have only ever shared poetry on this blog but I also write songs and thought I would share with you the lyrics from this song I wrote almost 20 years ago. I smile when I think of that rainbow (Song Lyrics)
Verse 1: Shine a light, on the world around you,
See the shadows of life, appear every time.
Some are dark, and mysterious to others,
But they don’t see the inside, only the outline.
I have a vision, beyond empty detail,
Created from, these shadows alone.
They are pictured, in my mind full of memories,

I received a lovely supportive email the other day from my good friend and business partner Debbie Hollingsworth. Debbie was offering me her enthusiasm and encouragement regarding the Charity Walk that my mum and I did on Sunday – that email really made my day. Debbie ended the email with ‘It made my heart smile’, I loved that phrase and I told her I was going to write a poem about it. This next poem is dedicated to Debbie, thank you for your inspiration and wonderful friendship.
