Time stands still for no one, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock….second after second life goes by, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, there goes another moment. STOP!!! THINK!! and ask yourself this question, “What are YOU going to do?” Remember it’s still ticking, every breath you take, every blink of an eye, the second hand on the clock goes round. ACT!! Just do what you need to do to challenge yourself and make your life better today. Be brave, be bold, step out of your comfort zone and just you GO FOR IT!! I know I am. Often we look for a solution to our problems “out there” however I am a great believer that you have the answer deep inside yourself.

“You Are The Key” is a song that I created a few weeks, although I do write a lot of love songs I also write a lot of uplifting and more inspiring songs too. I hope you like this Youtube demo song and that it adds a little zest to your day (background music currently being produced).

Clarabelle blog hits

Today I am celebrating 10,000 blog hits and I am super excited and abundantly happy about this.

I want to truly thank YOU for making this happen, you have visited my blog on a daily basis and you have inspired and encouraged me to keep going.

I truly feel that this blog is part of my life now, I just absolutely love it and I really do hope it shows and that it offers you some real value when you visit.

I started this Clarabelle Blog on 20 April 2012, it was unplanned, something came over me that day and I just acted on what I was feeling and I now know I was so right for doing that. I remember that moment very clearly because I was super excited to get it going and my first blog post was a poem I created called “Superhero” about a friend of mine.

I have developed and grown with this blog and it will continue to evolve as my career transition to Singer/Songwriter takes shape. I do hope you stick around for the long term, because I really do love it when you visit and I love reading your comments, I always make a point to respond to every comment on this blog.

You may remember a few weeks back I blog posted for the very first time a YouTube video of me singing one of my original songs “I Am Here”.

This has been a dream of mine since I was a child to be a successful songwriter but I never did anything about it until now…..over 30 years later!! I have a strong inner belief in my creative talents so I just started writing to different music production and publishing companies to get their feedback on my lyrics/songs. I am so excited because I received some really positive feedback this evening from a company in Nashville who I wrote to no less than 24 hours ago, here is what they said about my song:

I hope you’re having a good day. I’ve had a chance to review your lyric, “I Am Here”. Please see review below.

“I Am Here”: You have good rhyme through out the lyric which creates good rhythm which makes the song flow well. You have good imagery and description as you use your words to paint the scenes and bring the song to life. You’ve captured and expressed the emotions well as you can feel the love, hope, strength, longing, wonder etc… This is important b/c emotion is how people connect with music. The subject matter is strong as well as the length, song structure and verse/chorus format.

“I Am Here” is a lyric we’d be interested in working with you on.

The reason I am sharing this with you is because I want to use myself as a real life, in the moment, example. I want YOU to never let go of your childhood dreams, believe in your abilities and talents and put your energy out there……the Universe WILL respond, believe that, I am living proof of that.

Now, I have no idea what will happen with my songwriting career going forward, but all I know now, is that this has truly inspired me to keep going and going and going and going. By me putting my energy out there and getting that response this evening, it has given me even more motivation, drive and enthusiasm to carry on and make it happen for myself. I will absolutely keep you posted on developments.

Remember, YOU are a miracle already, YOU have the magic inside of you to dream big but also to turn that dream into a reality…..PUT YOUR ENERGY OUT THERE!!

Being Brave

This is a breakthrough day for me today, a day where I put my energy and heart out there to the world. I say this because I am being brave and courageous and putting myself out there to the Universe in a different way. I am sharing with you one of the songs I wrote recently for my new Album called “The Becoming of Me”. This is the first time I have ever sang on video with the intent to demonstrate the power and unfolding of making my dreams come true. This passion has indeed been locked inside of me for over 30 years and now I am embracing the moment and creating opportunities for myself. I have no idea where this may lead to, all I know is that it feels right to share with you today.

TRACK 1: “I AM HERE”

This song is about the loss of a loved one (my father) and also about having a loved one who lives very far away from you, like in a long distance relationship or family living “Across the Miles”. It tells the heartfelt story of the strong innner desire to have them so close to you, in that very moment, imagining them so close that they are actually there, then feeling the heartbreak of the reality that they are not there and are never coming back or will not be back for a long time.

I woke up this morning and that was the first thought that came into my head, so what does this mean? For me, it means many things but the one true sentiment from this sentence is really about having self-love, only then will you attract real true love into your life. Love attracts love and when you have self-love then you will be a magnet for pure love from another This next poem is inspired by just that, focus on the power in you, put your energy into your own self-love and believe me, you will be surrounded with an abundance of love from others, that is a special kind of love.

Magical

I want to share a very beautiful classical piece of music with you today, created by the Italian Composer, Ludovico Einaudi, from his classical album “Divenire” meaning “to become”. I absolutely love this classical piece, it really does connect deeply with my heart and soul – it simply sounds quite magical to me. When I listen to this album track, I feel it takes me on a mystical journey into the deepest realms of my imagination, where faith joins hands with dreams and softly dances under the starry skies – it moves me, it soothes me and it inspires me. Explosive

I am a great believer that creativity and imagination are two of the key components to a happy and fulfilling life and when you combine this with truth, love, passion, inspiration and connectedness you get something that is really “explosive”, internally and externally. I am sure we have all experienced our dancing minds playing a “tug-of-war” with our heart-strings – lately I have been letting my heart win and my inner spirit is running joyously free.

Creative Mode

Moving out of competitive mode and into creative mode has lifted my being to another level and I feel truly liberated. This transition has led me to create the beginnings of my first ever music album, entitled “Divine Harmony”, a compilation of inspirational music that talks to your soul, sings to your heart and connects with your mind in a magnetic manner. I have now produced 8 musical tracks so far, let me tell you a little bit about each one:

Track 1: “Running Free” – This musical piece tells the story of “returning to your soul”, it takes you through a journey of life experiences that have went from deep sadness and loss to letting go, breaking free and arriving at who you really are. It is ultimately upbeat and uplifting.

Track 2: “Hearts Apart” – I wrote this musical piece based on some recent news that my Sister, Brother-in-Law, Nephew and Nieces are all emigrating to Mississippi next month. This musical compilation tells of the heart-warming story of my deep love for them as they travel on their own journey of happiness and adventure.

Track 3: “Moving On” – This creative piece is ultimately about love – being, doing and having love. It is about letting go of past loves and opening your heart to new loves now and in the future. It is a very moving and touching musical story and I had someone special in mind when writing this musical piece.

Track 4: “Inspiring Hearts” – This track is a part of who I am, it shares the story of my passion and desire to inspire hearts all over the world. The music aims to connect with ones soul and deeply move them in an inspirational and motivational way.

Track 5: “Flight of the Blue Butterfly” – This musical composition tells the story of the stages of healing towards ultimate freedom of heart, soul, mind and spirit. The blue butterfly is very significant for me and you can see it pictured as part of my Clarabelle logo. This harmonious musical piece aims to move you in a peaceful and spiritual way.

Track 6: “Happiness Now” – This track is a musical compilation of what it sounds like to me to experience happiness in each and every moment. It will help you to open up your heart to the whispers of your soul and see and feel the beauty in each precious moment of life. Beauty is all around us and this track is a unique representation of that.

Track 7: “Coming Home” – This musical piece tells the story of my self-journey to being at one with oneself. It shares the realisation that the answers were always there, from within. It is a musical expression of who I am and all I ever need to be. In this artistic creation, “I have arrived”.

Track 8: “I Am” – This track is a musical celebration of the soul, the artistic expression of knowing that I always knew and trusting the feelings from within. It is an uplifting and moving musical piece that will surely touch your inner being.

Sounds of Music

There are certain sounds of music that really touch my heart and soul one of them being the classical piano tune “Satie – Gymnopedie No. 1”, it is so very beautiful, you can listen to it on the YouTube video clip below.

Songwriter

In addition to writing poetry and expressing all things inspirational I am an avid songwriter and music producer. When I was a child there was more evidence of me getting involved in this, I used to lock myself in my room for hours and just write songs and make up little tunes to them – I was so lost in the moment, every time I did that – it was such a wonderful feeling. I am now gradually introducing that musical art back into my life and I aim to share it here with you on this blog…..some time soon, I hope!!

Why am I sharing this with you?

I just want you to never feel that you have completely closed the door on your childhood dreams, I have re-opened mine after more than 30 years ago…..when I compose music and write songs, I feel I am that child again, lost in spirit, lost in the music and engaged with my soul. My heart is making the calling and I am listening to it, loud and clear.

Good morning from beautifully sunny Bonny Scotland. I am really feeling the benefits of de-cluttering my house, I feel the air is lighter and the energy is flowing much more freely around me. Another benefit of having a ‘clear out’, is that I am coming across more song and poetry writings from years ago, I found some more last night. Until now, I have only ever shared poetry on this blog but I also write songs and thought I would share with you the lyrics from this song I wrote almost 20 years ago. I smile when I think of that rainbow (Song Lyrics)

Verse 1: Shine a light, on the world around you,

See the shadows of life, appear every time.

Some are dark, and mysterious to others,

But they don’t see the inside, only the outline.

I have a vision, beyond empty detail,

One of the things in life that motivates my spirit, is when I hear uplifting, heartfelt, soul touching music, it makes such a special connection within. The strange thing is, I forgot about this for a while, I didn’t listen to the sounds that made me come alive……I have now discovered that again and every morning it is now part of my early wake up call.
