Creative talent, will always shine through

It’s in your blood, in all that you do

It comes from your heart, when your soul is on fire

Uplifting your spirit, growing burning desire

When you are in ‘flow’, all feels true

Bright as the sun, above deep oceans of blue

Treasures of hope, escape and uncover

The magical mind, that’s open to discover

Focus is on point, the brain is engaged

Free from the world, nothing feels caged

The strongest connection, to the inner self

Unleash your potential, display your talents on the shelf

The Quiet Sunlight

I live in Scotland and for the past week or so we have been getting alot of very beautiful sunshine, which is truly wonderful.  I feel there are many benefits of catching a few rays and I wrote this next poem whilst having a few quiet moments basking in the sunshine in my back garden.  Go on….capture a moment with the sun today.  Lots of love Clarabelle

The Quiet Sunlight

I soak up its energy, feel the heat on my face

A guiding light, the sun source at my place

Its impact is powerful, the strongest light

Brighter that the stars and the cool moonlight

It’s feeding my body, sharing its wealth

Good for my wellbeing and ultimate health

The quiet sunlight, drenches me with life

Takes away all worries, of trouble and strife

It creates a sentiment, of serenity so pure

I’m filling up with its richness, I no longer feel poor

To capture a moment, of time with the sun

Is special and heartfelt, makes me feel number one

Whispering Words

Time ticks on, moment after moment, breath after breath.  The sun rises, the sun sets and the clouds drift in slow motion, pause for a second, appreciate the time you have and live your life in meaningful pursuit.  This next poem is for you….time is of the essence. Wherever you are, I do hope the sun is shining on you.

Whispering Words

Time is of the essence, appreciate it well

The senses are awakening, I’m under your spell

Whispering words, silence in me

This daisy chain of life, surrounds the hollow tree

Each petal of hope, floats carefree in the breeze

Touching hearts, melting the freeze

Connecting souls, shining like stars

Breaking down barriers, bending the bars

The mind thinks, with passion and belief

Summer searches on, as I grasp the autumn leaf

And in the palm of my hand, I hold it tight

It’s a fragile treasure, escaping from the light

To let it go, is brave and true

Seasons change hope, that grows within you

Discover a New Path

What are YOU waiting for?  What can you influence in your life?  I encourage you today to have a pro-active mind, to take control of your destiny and make things happen for you. Go on, you know you can do it. . . . . open the door to life.  Wishing you a beautiful day full of magical moments and pro-activity.

Discover a New Path

Time after time lessons come, and lessons go

Let life in, this is your show

The waiting game, slows down the clock

Open the door, don’t wait for the knock

A pro-active mind, is prepared for the now

Planning ahead, will answer the how

Discover a new path, to travel on

Where dreams of hope, are never gone

Explore, take charge and do what needs done

Put yourself out there and the rest will come

How are you today?

“How are you today?”, A simple question that speaks volumes but how often do you ask someone that question?  I received a phone call this morning from a research company and the young gentleman calling asked me, how I was doing today, I very kindly responded and asked him the same question, he was so surprised that I showed an interest in him, he said he had made thousands of calls like this and no one had ever asked him that question back. . . . it does make you think!!  It certainly made his day because he told me so and it made me feel good also.  May I encourage you today to go out of your way and show a genuine interest in others by asking them “How are you today?”.  I do hope you are very well. This next poem is for you.

How are you today?

How are you today?

What response will you say?

Will it be good?

Or show a dull mood?

Will you show you care?

With the smile that you wear

Or not answer at all?

If the question, is in a phone call

Take a moment, make someone’s day

Asking “How are you today?“, can go along way

Just 4 little words, so simple and true

Spreads a little happiness, and reflects back on you

So next time you meet, someone on your path

Ask them this question and give them your half

Battles of Life

Today I seem to be in a strong creative flow, fully connected to my inner emotions and life experiences.  It takes me to another place, another dimension brought on from memories of the past and thoughts of what could be.  I feel the words in my heart, they strengthen my self awareness and help me to understand the person I am today.  I continue to try to master the art of letting go. . . .what will be, will be.  This next poem shares some of this for you.

Battles of Life

Goodbye my love, like ships passing in the night

Our paths crossed, the lights were bright

The waves were fun, swept away in emotion

Our hearts danced, under the moonlit ocean

Feelings were high, but so were our fears

Abundance of laughter and moments of tears

The look in your eyes, told me your story

Battles of life, tales of hope and glory

The unspoken words, held close in the heart

Brought us together and tore us apart

The most powerful magnet, cannot compare

To the connection we have, but no longer you stand there

The sadness I feel, holds silence in me

Shall I leave this to fate? – What will be, will be

The Dream is Alive

What inspires you?  What gets you out of bed in the morning?  What makes you excited and fills your heart with joy?  What makes you feel good?  I can honestly say that contributing to this blog answers all of the above questions for me.  To inspire others, to share knowledge and learning, to use my creativity and express it with the world, talking to you ticks all of those boxes and more.  Thank you for your support and listening it really means alot to me.  I hope you enjoy the following poem, keep your dreams alive!!

  The Dream is Alive

I jump out of bed, excited inside

Today will be great, I do decide

My mind is buzzing, with wonderful thoughts

Open questions, of how, why and what’s

The wheel is turning, energy flows

With abundant enthusiasm, everything goes

A skip, a hop and a heartfelt mission

Like changing skies, I’m in transition

The outlook is merry, the lights are switched on

The city awaits, soon I’ll be gone

The dream is alive, it’s happening for real

I salute the crowd, they see what I feel

The pursuit of happiness, is not always a drive

When you stop the search, only then you will arrive.

Shake That Body

I really enjoy my daily exercise, whether it is in the form of relaxing meditation, stretching the core muscles or working up a sweat in the gym, it all contributes to making me feel so good.  Look after yourself and everyone and everything around you will benefit even more. Go on, dance those cobwebs away!!

Shake That Body

Daily exercise, does you good

Uplifting your spirits and changing your mood

Body feels stretched, detoxed and well

Working out feels amazing, try it and tell

From swimming in cool waters, to running in the rain

Dance in your living room, you’ll feel great again

Skip to the music, hop to the beat

Shake that body, shuffle your feet

Whatever you do, to get the heart racing

Exercise is a must, no matter what you’re facing

The brain releases endorphins, that flow around you

Energise your soul and you’ll feel fantastic too

Happiness Happiness

I recently heard someone saying, “happiness does not come from success, success comes from happiness”.  I had a wonderful conversation with my friend today and we chatted about happiness coming from the smallest, simple things in life – being grateful for family, close friends and meaningful relationships.  This next poem is inspired by just that. I wish you a very happy day, full of abundance and love.

Happiness, happiness, what does it mean for you?

The little things in life, so special and so true

A hug, a kiss, a warm and friendly smile

The sun in the sky, or raindrops for a while

The first flower that blossoms, and blooms for all to see

Holding hands in unity, giving love from you to me

Spending time with family, laughing, having fun

Feeling fresh air on your face, when out for a run

The smell of fresh cut grass, awakens senses inside

Celebrating with friends and walking on sands at tide

Whatever it means for you, just let happiness be

True fulfilment in the now and the feeling of being free

The Soul is Talking

Each day I wake up with a brand new mission, I ask myself these questions, “What is my mission today?”, “How can I serve greatly?” and “How will I stay connected to my purpose?” – for some people, these are not easy questions to answer, for me, I have searched deep within my soul and have been moved by the voices in my heart. This is why I write this blog for you, by creating lyrical art I answer all three questions at once.  My soul it talking and it’s talking to you.  The next poem is inspired by just that.

The branch of the tree, edges out in time

The voices are loud and sing in rhyme

A soft breeze is blowing, I stand alone

A picture perfect, as I dream of home

Today the mission, is to commit to myself

The importance of happiness and my inner health

To serve greatly, give out my heart

Share unspoken words, through my vision and art

Imagination seeks, fuel to ponder

Creative spirit, such a special wonder

The page that was blank, now is full

The soul is talking, scribbles do rule

Stay connected to your purpose and so much will come

Opportunity is now, grasp it and run

True Beauty is Life

The creative spirit uplifts the imagination to another dimension and produces art that moves the soul.  In this moment, I am listening to inspirational music and I am in ‘flow’, taking action and embracing the true beauty of life, this next poem is for you.

The falling star, shoots from the sky

Paradise captures, the reason why

It glistens and sparkles, for all to see

Magic in the air, oneness in me

It uplifts my mood and takes me there

Awakens my heart, soul stripped bare

Light as a feather, I dance and sing

The white dove has taken me, under its wing

True beauty is life, if we see it that way

Tomorrow is not here yet, let’s live for today

Friendship is the Gift

I have been reflecting today on the wonderful close friends I have in my life, some of them I have known for over 30 years of my life and others for about one year. Regardless of the length of time I have known them, each and everyone of them is very special to me, their support is second to none and just talking to them instantly uplifts my spirits to another dimension.  This poem is dedicated to my dearest friends, Donna, Sharon, Debbie and Dagmar, I shall champion you forever, thank you for all that you give me and much more. May I encourage you to let your friends know how truly special they are to you.

Friendship has true meaning, a simple gifted treasure

When you’re feeling a little stuck, or a partner for your leisure

A real friend will be there, always just for you

Holding your hand, to help you see tough times through

An empathetic listening ear, gentle hug or warm smile

A forever empowering note, that goes the extra mile

Friendship is so sweet, like sugar in your tea

Friends separate from the ‘I’ and turn it into ‘We’

Friendship is the gift, of endearment and inner strength

To support you indeed, friends will go to arms length

Today I reflect on my friends, who are so very dear

Like beautiful guardian angels, they bring me good cheer

So wherever your dreams take you, please remember to tell

Your friends that they are magical, like an enchanting wishing well

Happy are their hearts, that shine upon you

The closest of connections, without needing any glue

Now we share the laughter, and hopes for all time

I have friends in a million, I’d give them my last dime

So often we forget ,the joy they bring each day

Thank you my closest friends, in my heart for you I pray

This Love For You

Sometimes our hidden love for another is so deep, it silently creeps to the surface and rocks our world forever.  To ignore this calling would surely haunt the heart for an eternity. Love is often mistaken as a feeling but love is a doing word, to receive love you have to give love..so go on ‘Just Do Love’ and fill your life with the richness it truly deserves.  This next poem is all about being brave and opening the door to love.

This love for you, torments my core

I hear it’s knock, upon my door

Do I answer, say hello?

Or keep it hidden, deep below

It hurts sometimes, the emotions are strong

Is this the place, where I belong?

It stops and starts, but the engine has fuel

Do I give out my heart and let love rule?

To be honest, this feels dangerous for me

The fear is greater than to let this love be

But to not let love in, would feel heavy on my heart

Seeing you walk off, feeling sad as you depart

So I’ll be brave, let courage win

I’ll share with you my soul and let love in

Nourishing Your Heart

Life Changing Decisions

I’m about to make some life changing decisions in the very near future, decisions that I feel will positively shape my life forever, new endings will meet with new beginnings and a new chapter of my life will become alive.  So how do I know if I am making the right decision?  I can honestly say that I am a values-driven person and I will use by values as my inner guidance to ultimately support the right choice for me.  After all, how else can I ensure I be deeply authentic to myself if I don’t honour my values.  It’s all about nourishing your heart and that’s what inspired this next poem for you.

Nourishing Your Heart

Values are your inner guidance, that’s what I believe

Honouring your values, will help you to achieve

They live inside of you, keep your soul on track

Holding you together, never looking back

They hold the golden key, to a life that’s true for you

Filling up your senses, in what you choose to do

Decisions in each moment, to always meet your needs

Nourishing your heart, planting little seeds

I am values driven, the steering wheel is mine

Living life on purpose, it feels so mighty fine.

Let Life In

Positive Attitude

Having a positive attitude will always shine through, enjoying each new day will provide you with the inner fuel to keep your passion alive.  Break out, set your mind free, let your heart smile and share the positivity.  This next poem is for you, have a truly wonderful day.

Let Life In

Celebrate each brand new day

Let life in and lead the way

Embrace the moment, take a chance

Go for it, smile and dance

For happy are the enthusiastic ones

Their passion shines through, hearts beating like drums

Listen to the sound, it’s made from you

The orchestra plays, to whatever you do

Sing out loud, take the challenge on

Live in the moment, before it’s gone

Dancing in Your Shoes

Poem, Dancing in Your Shoes

I have been working very very hard lately and not had much of a break, so now I think it is time to let my hair down a little and have some fun.  After all, it can’t always be work, work, work, even though I do love what I do, it really is nice to have a break and dance to the sound of the music.  This next poem is all about that – go on have some fun!!

Dancing in your Shoes

Sometimes you have, to let fun in

Life without it, can be a little bit dim

Feel the excitement, enjoy it for a while

Let you hair down and your face it will smile

Jump to the music, just let go

Treasure the moment, let fun flow

My head’s in a spin, this feels so good

Embrace the happiness, within your mood

Now is the time, to banish all blues

Have a wonderful day, dancing in your shoes

Shine Like A Star

Poem, Shine Like A Star

I was inspired to write the following poem because sometimes in life, we just need to take a break and recharge the batteries.  At times we can push the boundaries to the edge of the mountain because we are so passionate and on purpose, however, be careful not to overstep the mark.  We have to look after ourselves so we can give our best and achieve ultimate peace of mind.  Be aware of the signals that are coming through, the mind, body and spirit will let you know if it is out of balance – see this signal as part of the solution to make positive changes that will uplift your being and enhance your soul.  The power is in your hands.

Shine Like A Star

Take good care of the person that’s you

You’ll then shine like a star, in whatever you do

Rest when you need it, just take a break

Recharge the batteries, before you awake

Life can be exciting, but over-stretching too

Your passion will not fade, it lives in you

Create the space, the mind deserves

Relax the body, to build up reserves

Take a deep breath, detox the soul

Your frequency will change and your heart will stay whole

My Wonderful Dad

Poem, My Wonderful Dad

I initially had second thoughts about posting this poem, simply because it is extremely personal to me and tells the true story of my Dad’s fight with cancer over 15 years ago. Sadly, after battling with this disease for 5 years, he passed away on 1 February 1997. The reason why I decided to share this poem is because although it was in some places, painful to write, I do feel other people who have gone through a similar situation with their family members will be able to relate to it and hopefully help them to come to terms with their sad loss and be able to gently move on.  I know everyone deals with grief differently and I think it took me about 5 years for the sadness to truly melt away.  Now when I think of my Dad, I think of the wonderful, happy and outgoing person he was, this then makes me smile and so proud to be his daughter and part of his life…..his loving spirit lives on in every heart he touched and I know he touched many.

My Wonderful Dad

It was 15 years ago, when you passed away

I must admit, it was my saddest day

My heart felt heavy, from deep inside

I had lost my Dad, I had lost my guide

The tears were painful, unbearable at times

Red bloodshot eyes, were swollen signs

When all alone, I cried out my heart

The deepest sadness, when you did depart

I held your hand, a few days before

And took a last glance back, before I left the ward door

Something told me to look back, when visiting that night

It was 24 hours later, you gave up the fight

I was out with a friend, but didn’t want to go

You told me to ‘live on’ and for the sadness not to show

I came home that night, there was a cold chill in the air

I instantly knew, why no one was there

They were called to the hospital, late that night

You were taking your last breathe, and approaching the light

Everyone was there, except for me

Because I went out, very selfishly

I lived with that hurt, for a few years

Why wasn’t I with you, I cried so many tears

I think it took about 5 years to move on

It was a painful few years, when your presence was gone

But now when I think of my wonderful Dad

I remember the good times, never the sad

I celebrate your life years, there were 58

I was part of 23 and you made them great

You never lived a perfect life, worry got to you

It’s easy to blame, but we didn’t live in your shoes

I think of your singing, I think of your smile

I think of that waistcoat, you wore for a while

You were fond of the mirror, a poser you were

Talking to yourself, as you played with your hair

When you left for work, I missed you right away

When you arrived home, it made my day

You were always positive and friendly to all

You liked to use humour, to break down the brick walls

A charmer you were, fun and caring

A Dad in a million and a little bit daring

You sang at most weddings, with a few whiskys inside

You jigged on the dance floor and flirted with the bride

You loved a laugh and would welcome a crowd

You loved your family, they made you feel so proud

In this physical world, your body is away

In another dimension, your spirit lives on each day

Maybe I can’t see you, but you can see me

You can feel my spirit and its frequency

So I’m sending you this message after 15 years

Life is good Dad, we have no more tears

You are still greatly missed and always will be

You have an extended family, it’s so beautiful to see

As the years go by and the older we get

We must live in each moment, but never will forget

The loved ones of the past, who are present in our mind

Who live in our hearts and are one of a kind

We love you, we miss you and to hold you once more

Would be a dream come true, if you walked through that door

The tears of the past, are now gone forever

They ran down my cheek and joined the river

And as the river flows, my heart does to

It is joined by my soul and reaches out to you

Because on the crest of the wave, there you stand

Holding out your heart and holding out your hand

Thank you Dad, for in me you live

Thank you for the lessons and to others I now give

Live your best life, every moment of every day

Connect with your inner self and listen to what it says

Enjoy the journey, as you sail down the river

Because there are hearts and many hands helping you forever.

Little Robin

Poem, Little Robin

I was inspired to write this poem because everyday I see this cute little Robin Red Breast outside in my garden, chirping sweet happy tunes and it always makes me smile.  It’s all part of enjoying the now, being present in every moment of your life and connecting with the wonderful sounds of nature.

Little Robin

 Little Robin, upon the tree

Everyday, you look at me

I wonder what you’re saying today

I’m inside this box, as you play away

I hear your song, a happy tune

It’s my morning call, I’ll see you soon

My garden is, a home for you

The trees are dancing, to whatever you do

I always see you on your own

You may look lonely but you’re not alone

For I am here, as the sun shines

Little Robin my friend, with your beautiful chimes

Out of the Shade

Poem, Out of the Shade

I wrote this poem only yesterday, it is about a recent time in my life when I was unwell and felt trapped in the situation.  Thankfully the sun is shining on me now but I remember those stormy days where I had to use every ounce of my inner strength to keep me sane and battle on…..it is in these difficult times in life when the courageous soul emerges with open arms, you just have to believe it is there.

Out of the Shade

Through the darkest moments and darkest days – where is the light?

When my mind feels trapped and I cannot sleep, into the night

What a horrible feeling, when times are tough

The way out is lonely, the weather is rough

My soul is a prisoner, to all I have thought

My heart it feels dead but it cannot be bought

My values are here – an inner guidance they bring

Like the first musical note, before I do sing

They keep me sane and hold me together

They carry me forward, like I’m light as a feather

As I trudge through the snow, I call out my name

Keep going, don’t stop, treat life as a game

The character within me, fights through the shell

I punch and I kick, until I feel well

In this battle, although the bruises give me pain

No blood has been shed and inner strength I did gain

And as time passes by, the emotional scars they do fade

I walk into the sunlight and out of the shade

Sister Dear Sister

Poem, Sister Dear Sister

Often we go through life and we forget how influential our closest family members have been in our life.  This poem is a heartfelt sentiment to my wonderful and beautiful younger sister, who through the highs and lows of my life has always been there for me.  Thank you Leanne, you are so very special to me, more than you’ll ever know.

Sister Dear Sister

When we were young sis, we always used to fight

Early in the morning and mostly every night

I didn’t really appreciate back then, the special person in you

I now recognise that failing, so evident and true

But as we got older, I changed my poor sisterly ways

You became a best friend and we went on holidays

I love you my dear sister, you are so special to me

More than you’ll ever know, more than I let you see

I always feel so happy, when you are around

You cheer up the room, lots of laughter is your sound

And always when I need you, to my door you come a knocking

There with open arms and then we do some talking

You laugh at your own jokes and I find that very funny

Your spirit is so alive and your attitude is always sunny

Sister dear sister, you’ve made my life so great

I couldn’t ask for a better sister, 10 out of 10 you rate

You are the King

Poem “You Are The King”

This poem ‘You are the King’ is written about my good friend who lives thousands of miles away from me and although we have actually never met in person, we continue to communicate regularly through the internet.  We have helped each other through tough times over the last year and this poem celebrates our brotherly, sisterly bond and growing friendship.

You are the King

We are miles apart but I feel close to you

A special connection between us two

Through challenging times, we helped each other

Our friendship grew stronger, like sister and brother

You are highly intelligent, with dark handsome looks

We chatted for hours and discussed inspiring books

I learned so much, in a short space of time

Uncovering raw moments, your soul it touched mine

In this crazy world, there is one law that’s true

The Law of Attraction, brought me to you

And in this dimension, new beginnings took place

Rekindling self-awareness, that showed your real face

Leonardo, Leonardo, you are the King

When I hear your smooth voice, my heart it does sing

And at the edge of the pier, I look out to the sun

The horizon is honest, where we meet everyone

Sunshine smiles, love and laughter

Our worlds did meet……I wish you happy ever after

Welcome to Clarabelle’s Life in Poetry

Life in Poetry

Thank you for visiting this page.  I love to use my imagination and create poems and other lyrical art such as songwriting, from the heart, therefore, this blog is dedicated to you, as I share with you my experiences and heartfelt meaning of life in poetry and inspirational messages.  I want these creative posts to connect with you and your own life experiences, maybe you are going through a period of difficult change in your life right now, or you are just needing a little bit of inspiration to create a positive transformation in you.

Created in “Flow”

These are all my own poems and songs created in ‘flow’ and often during my life’s highest of highs or lowest of lows, however I hope you interpret the power of my mind and the inner strength from within myself coming through in the poetry verses.

The aim of this poetry blog is to ultimately help you turn your life around and catapult you into achieving your greatest potential.

It’s your life, GO GET IT!!
