For I am happy, as strong as can be.
I have followed my heart, and this passion frees me.

In The Eye of a Needle

New Year

I am in poetic flow at the moment, this one’s for you.  Sometimes I don’t know what these poems mean, I wonder what they mean to you?

In the Eye of a Needle

In the eye of a needle,
My soul breathes deep.
I see my heart,
Secrets I keep.

I bury my mind,
In a tunnel of love.
A cave with no light.
Blue sky with no dove.

It’s beyond the horizon,
Seems so far away.
Yet closer than I think,
Honest whispers I pray.

And on a misty morn,
The freshness I feel.
Both of us together,
This dream is real.

I hold out my hand,
Please take it with care.
A nurtured passion,
Leaves my soul stripped bare.

Hey You

Hey you, I feel you need a little reminder of how far you’ve already come…..this poem is perfectly timed for you.

Hey You

Hey you,
Don’t give up
Be strong now
Fill up your cup
With happy thoughts
Love for the dream
On your own
Or one of the team
You can do it
Turn around
No going back
Up of the ground
Moment by moment
Day by day
You’re getting closer
You’ll win this way.

Who is this Woman?

Poetic moments from my poetic heart to you.

Who is this Woman?

Who is this woman?
With dreams for the taking.
What is she doing?
What is she making?

She talks of big plans,
And all things good.
She always shines,
In a positive mood.

Why is she writing?
Like she’s talking to me.
Building me up,
Taller than a tree.

Will she tell us?
When her desires show.
Moving from her soul,
And her spirit do flow.

I like her a lot,
This woman on a mission.
Encouraging my heart,
Retrieving my vision.

So I guess I’ll listen,
And set my goals too,
This woman is an Angel,
She lives inside of you.

Hang in There

I was talking to my friend today and I ended the conversation with “Hang in there”…… It inspired the poem below:

Hang on Tight

Hang on tight,
My lovely friend.
Keep up the fight,
Until the end.

This year’s been tough,
A burden to carry.
But soon the night sky,
Will be bright and starry.

An Angel she whispers,
Softly in my ear.
Let go of the past,
Don’t shed another tear.

For all this kicking
And punching won’t win.
It’s a hard trek I know,
For your next of kin.

I pray every night,
For you, better days,
Your family together,
This loving Angel says.

I’m on your shoulder,
Taking care of you.
Holding your hand,
During tough times too.

And Soon tomorrow,
Will shine in your heart.
No more sadness,
Just a happy fresh start.

Oprah Winfrey’s Hands

In a previous blog post last week, I wrote a poem about Oprah Winfrey reading my book, this is what I want. I moved forward with this desire last week and posted to Oprah Winfrey a copy of my Amazon book, “Clarabelle’s Musings”.

I researched into 3 addresses to send it into Oprah Winfrey, so, yes you’ve guessed it, I sent a copy of my book to each of the 3 addresses – it could be in her hands, right now, as we speak.

I really do believe this is a book that Oprah Winfrey will absolutely love, I truly do and I guess if it’s meant for her to read she will definitely get the opportunity to read it, the Universe will make sure of that.

I shall keep you posted on developments, it may be 6 days, 6 weeks or 6 years, but let’s just see what happens.

I hope that you will take some encouragement out of this blog post for yourself, I hope it inspires you to take your dreams one step further.

Happy days to you, love Clarabelle.

Champion Heart

Remember this, you have a champion heart, yes you, I feel its strength, I see its purpose and it’s ready to take on the world. Here’s a poem for you, just about that:

Your Champion Heart

Your champion heart,
Is beautiful to see.
So special and true,
A passion to free.

It’s bursting with pride,
With a forever smile,
Stronger than an ox,
Mile after mile.

No matter the path,
That you are on,
Your willing attitude,
Is where you belong.

So hold on tight,
Because excitement is ready.
To lift you higher,
Go rock steady.

A winning love,
A happy ever after.
You are the one,
Sing out with laughter.

Writing Mood

I really love it when I am in a writing mood, it can happen to me at any time of the day and when it does I just have to capitalise on it, as best I can. This moment is now, suddenly I have an enthusiastic urge to write and I just have to do it. Here is a little poem to you from this happy mood moment:

Creating My Tomorrow

Fluffy and white,
Like cotton wool.
Clouds in the breeze,
Air fresh and cool.

Snowy moments,
A blanket of space.
Tranquil surroundings,
A different place.

Making it happen,
Hopes and dreams.
Fill up my corner,
Rainbow beams.

Moonlit skies,
Are pretty and pink.
Soft melting colours,
Make me think.

Time is not here,
I am at one.
Always myself,
Smiling at the sun.

No questions to answer,
For I know what’s true.
Creating my tomorrow,
In today what I do.

Experiencing life,
Embracing this treasure.
Loving the journey,
Surprised with pleasure.

Dedicated to Paratrooper Steve

Following on from my previous post, I dedicate this poem to Steve who is sadly no longer here:

A Paratrooper….

I saw an Ad
To write to you
You wanted a friend
Another focus too.

In January 97,
You said “Hello”
“My name is Steve
I have a sore toe.

From all the marching,
And running too,
It bleeds sometimes,
But this is what I do.

I jump from planes,
It was scary at first.
But now these skyfalls
Quench my thirst.

I love to travel,
I love the sun
I’m studying like crazy.
When not with a gun.

A paratrooper by title,
I was 18 at the start,
5 years later,
A strong soldier with a heart.

Sometimes I’m lonely,
A lot of times I’m not.
So busy with my life,
I make good of what I’ve got.

I love my fitness,
It’s important to me.
I try to improve,
Be the best I can be.

Sorry if this letter,
Arrived a little late.
But I’ll send you some photos,
Just a little more to wait.

I love to get your mail,
Please write soon Claire.
Keep smiling, soldier on.
Love from Steve, take care.”

31 of these letters,
I treasure with happy tears
So sad that you are gone Steve,
Thank you for those two years.

Thank You World

Loch Lomond Sky
Loch Lomond, Photo by Gerry Mitchell

I was having a little look at my blog stats today and I am over the moon with the people from all the different counties who have visited my blog.  Out of 196 countries in the world, so far, people from 138 countries around the world have visited my blog.  I am actually astounded, that’s 70% of the world’s countries are represented on stats on my blog.

So, as a massive THANK YOU to you from around the world, I am going to do a poem for your very own country. So I will make my list very soon and then I will do a lovely bespoke poem for you in your country, that’s the least I can do as a special thank you for visiting.  So if whether you’re from Ireland or Australia or France or Brazil…..all 138 of you will be getting a dedicated poem.  Of course, any new arrivals of countries, will also get their own poem.  I’m really looking forward to this, I really am.  Look out for your poem for your country.  I am smiling, I am looking forward to doing this.

Thank you for being here.

It’s Only A Matter of Time

IMG_3534

It’s only a matter of time for your vision to come alive.  First you feel it in your heart, then you see it in your imagination, then you feel it moving in your bones and then it dances throughout your body….and only when it has flowed through all of those stages, only then it begins to take form.

It starts with one word, one step, one piece of the 100,000 piece jigsaw puzzle but it doesn’t matter how long it takes, because you know “your calling” is going to make it.  Listen to me my friend, it’s only a matter of time……because it is in silence of faith that dreams can be awakened.

So can I relate to the above?  Yes, you’ve got it, of course I can.  Almost 6 years ago, I was kind of laughed at because I said at the very start of my business that I was going to have my own books, my very own positive book range……I just knew what they were thinking, their faces said it all, but you know I BELIEVED, I really believed in me, I always do and sometimes I get off track but I always get back there, back to where I need to be.

I sit here today looking at my first Amazon paperback book,”Clarabelle’s Musings”, sitting on my home office desk and I am smiling with pure joy, excitement and adoration of what I see before me……for my heart is sitting on this table, my heart is painted on the pages of this book, making its way to you.

IMG_3536

IMG_3535

So if you believe like I believed in me, when other people laughed at what I wanted to achieve for myself, may my own story inspire you to keep going my friend…..6 days, 6 months, 6 years, you’re going to make it…..it’s only a matter of time.

Much love to you, Clarabelle

It’s Hard

IMG_3527.JPG

Every moment is a moment to change, don’t give up the fight, there are hands and many hearts helping you forever.  Keep going my friend.  Love Clarabelle.

It’s Hard to Believe

It’s hard to believe,
in the torrential rain.
That the sun will shine,
and free you from pain.

It’s hard to let go,
when love pulls you in.
But a one sided love,
can never win.

It’s hard to smile,
when you’re hurting inside,
when the river runs deep,
and you’ve lost all pride.

It’s hard to be you,
when you feel so drained,
emotional pain,
keeping you chained.

But believe my heart,
believe what it says.
The rainbow is ready,
and the Angel prays.

She flies above your home,
drying up your tears.
She sends you much love,
and banishes the fears.

And as you sleep,
in bed tonight.
the little Angel of love,
Shines on you bright.

With a warmth like no other.
and a pure glowing heart.
Sad times move on
And you’ll have a fresh start.

Pick Up Your Soul

A poignant poem to reflect bravery in your soul. This one is especially for you today. Love Clarabelle

Pick Up Your Soul

Pick up your soul,
And carry on.
Lost adventures,
Hope was gone.

But sunny days,
Are here again.
No more sadness,
No more pain.

For now you know,
Your heart was talking.
It whispered from within,
Whilst struggling walking.

It said, “I believe,
In all you are,
You’re a happy spirit,
A shining star”

You listened in fear,
Stepped forward in tears,
For you really believed,
That after all these years.

Times were changing,
The past was the past.
And the present tough times,
They would not last.

So with your head held high,
For all to see,
You picked up your soul,
And carried me.

Who Are You?

believe

I wrote this last year for YOU.

You can also listen to the audio speech here:

Who Are You? You are special, a person with a heart, a loving heart, a soul, a singing soul, a spirit, a happy spirit.  You have dreams, great, great, dreams.  You have plans, big, big, plans.  You have faith, strong faith in the mystery of the unknown and YOU BELIEVE.

You believe with every part of your being that only magnificence lies before you.  You have a unique power that goes beyond the impossible.  You have an energy that attracts true abundance to you.  You are alive and are grateful for all that you are and for all that you are becoming.

You can create magic around you because you breathe and do with passion, every baby step that you take on this journey of life.

The miracle of all miracles is in you and in every path you come across.  Every heart that you touch, every soul that you inspire, every star that you catch and every rainbow that protects you from the storms.

You are at one with yourself, in the silence of all silences your spirit shines and your light guides you out of the darkness.

You fly, you soar, you reach for the mountain top and when you get there, you see far in the distance another higher mountain to climb.  But it is in the challenge of every challenge to only ever reach the top.  The top is never ending, the beginning is never new, life is, what it is.

Life is how you see it.

Life is how you live it.

Life is how you love it.

There is freedom, there is abundance, there is everything you need and want before you.  You can’t see it with your eyes, you can’t touch it with your hands but it is living, breathing and dancing around you.  This invisible space is your space, your space to fill with smiles, laughter, love, joy and happiness.  Nourish the space around you by nourishing peace from within, because even in stormy weathers you can find a calm place.

So go to the edge of the mountain top because it is waiting for you with open arms.  Other travellers want to hear your story, want to learn from your experiences, good or bad.  They want to know, what you know, to help them on their own journey of life.

Then you must find a quiet spot and listen to the sound of the wind, whispers of the greatest knowledge will come to you and you will use this wisdom to carry on.

Yes you may feel broken right now.

Yes you may have cried enough tears to fill a river.

Yes you may feel like a failure and all your self-worth and self-confidence has gone.

But I want to tell you something. It’s still there you know.  The best part of you is still living in you. You still have that spark. You still shine.  You are loved deeply and your heart knows this.
The mind can play games with our feelings, but the mind has no hold over the power of the heart.  Close your eyes, feel your heart, feel its energy, feel its power, let it grow inside of you.

You are very special and you can and will do this. You will turn your life around for the better.

This is the moment that counts, this is when you decide enough is enough.  This is when you say “I am strong, I am better than that and I believe in me and my potential.  I am whatever I choose to be and I choose to be what I believe in my heart.  I am my greatest dreams, I am.”

Never settle for too little because you have such a lot and to not unleash your true talents into this world would surely keep you from the wisdom that is truly yours.

Trust in you, trust in your abilities, trust that everyone is asking similar questions and this is your time to fight back.  This is your time to answer with your heart.  This is your life, to love, to live, to learn and to lead.  Capture that feeling in your heart right now, let it flow through every vein in your body, let it illuminate you with drive, determination and self-discipline, now mix it with passion and purpose and you’re on your way.

You are free now, free to make the right choices and decisions in life that will make you the BEST EVER YOU.  Your new life awaits – make every moment count and GO GET IT, because nobody deserves it more than you.  You have all the qualities within you to make it.  Thrive, grow and shine NOW and FOREVER.

By Clarabelle.

If you think this will help someone, please please share. Thank you.

Would You Bare Your Soul?

angel cloud

Sometimes poems just whisper out of me, the words just appear and I have to write them down straight away, just like this moment now, just like today, when my heart sang these words. It’s maybe a message to me and you, to live your life now like your soul would want it to.  I guess my poems are the baring of my soul to you.

Would you bare your soul?

Would you bare your soul?
So heaven would let you in.
The promise of a peaceful land.
Full of happiness within.
Where Angels pray in song,
And many hearts entwine.
Brought together in love,
A miracle of the divine.
So when your last day falls,
And puddles of tears appear.
Your soul knows where it’s going,
Sweet hymns whisper you near.
The stairway is alight,
With candles either side.
They represent each moment,
Your heart touched another inside.
The shadows are now behind you,
No pain follows you there.
For freedom ignites your spirit,
And your soul is now stripped bare.

Time is of the essence, none of us get out of this life alive, that’s for sure……so let your soul dance in the now, as it’s paving the way to your happy ever after.

Love Clarabelle

What if Oprah Winfrey Read my Book?

Oprah Winfrey
What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?

I was just thinking this the other day…..What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?

What if Oprah Winfrey Read my Book?

What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?
What would she think?
Would it inspire her mind?
Would it make her heart wink?

What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?
Would it give her a smile?
Would she feel warmth inside?
Would she laugh for a while?

What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?
Would she share it with others?
Would it motivate her friends?
Would it connect with all Mothers?

What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?
Would she even know my name?
What book is “Clarabelle’s Musings”?
What is her writing aim?

What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?
What would she say?
What hope would it give her?
What page would she pray?

What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?
What if she read it with joy?
What if Clarabelle’s poems?
Inspired every girl and boy?

What if Oprah Winfrey read my book?

I Wonder Where?

A poem of wonder, for you today, love Clarabelle.

I Wonder Where?

If I stay here I die
I live a lie
I wither in the shade
My smile it does fade
If I move far away
Other hearts will pray
Travellers will thrive
They will feel alive
I will leave,
Nothing to grieve
For I know
My soul does glow
In a twinkling heart
So I will depart
No tears will fall,
For an inner call
Takes me there
I wonder where? IMG_3488.JPG

So Happy

Today, I collected my first ever paperback book from Amazon. I was the happiest person ever picking up the book. I excitedly opened up the package on the street and wanted to shout out to everybody, “Hey, this is my book”, I was wearing the biggest smile ever. This book’s content has spanned over a 3 year period and I honestly can’t believe I’ve written it. I read each page with new learnings and rejuvenated wisdom and I am amazed all over again.

I know some of my best writings in this book have been written at some of the toughest times in my life, when I was going through some inner challenges of lost love, tough business times and knock back after knock back. These writings, through that inner pain were inspiring me to “keep going”, to “never give up” and to do my very best to help myself achieve all that I have ever wanted. It was like I was connected to something else when writing these musings……like something else was speaking through my heart, mind and soul. I would just sit there alone in the silence of my own home and write…..it all just flowed out of me so easily and I would instantly feel an inner calmness after it.

So, in my humble opinion, this book, Clarabelle’s Musings are miracle writings, whispers of my soul to share with the world and connect in a very special way with other hearts and ultimately help you positively move forward in your own journey of life.

I often wonder where I got my writing spirit from, as my Mum and Dad don’t write but my younger sister Leanne is a fabulous writer, although I am sorry to say that she doesn’t write anymore.

I remember Leanne came home from High School one day, she was about 13 years old and she was stunned because the Head of the English Department, at the time, didn’t believe she had written the essay she wrote, she was upset that she had to convince him that she did write it all herself. He was so amazed by her talent, he took her School book from her and showed it to the other English teachers in the department. Not very inspiring for a 13 year old, when your teacher doesn’t even believe in you. I wish Leanne would write again, her story writing, really is amazing but she is so happy being a wonderful mum of 3 children with another one on the way in February next year. Leanne also home schools my nieces and nephews……her children will always be inspired, she will make sure of that.

I think we got it from my Grandfather, Eddie, who told me, at 90 years old, that when he was a child, he came first place in a UK and Ireland wide School writing competition. I felt so proud of him when he shared that with me, he hadn’t told anyone, until then, sadly he passed away at the age of 92.

So today is a momentous day and I am dedicating this paperback to my Granda Eddie and my younger sister Leanne, both inspirations to me.

Clarabelle’s Musings, this is my new bedtime reading book.

Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle

motivation

A motivational poem for you:

Let’s Get Going

Let’s get going,
Don’t you stop.
Keep your head up,
Beep beep bop.
See the goal,
In your eyes.
Feel and believe,
It’s your surprise.
So soldier on,
Break through it all.
Imagine your life.
Over the brick wall.
At the rainbow’s end,
Celebrate your glory,
This is your life,
This is your story.

When I Die….

Clarabelle Quotes, The Light of Love

I am planning on being here for at least another 50 years and I do love making the best of everything in life.  Here is a short poem I made up this morning.  Love to you, Clarabelle

When I Die

When I die,
I’ll leave you my heart,
For it has a home with you.

When I die,
I’ll leave you my spirit,
For it breathes life in all that you do.

When I die,
I’ll leave you my soul,
For it dances around us two.

When I die,
I’ll leave you my love,
For always, forever and true.

Together Forever

Clarabelle Quotes 71

Together Forever

Just show me love,
And I’ll show you the way.
An unknown path,
But I’m here to stay.
A new world awaits,
Hope is where I live,
Fond sweet memories,
True kindness I give.
Share your heart,
Let me see it all,
Building a new life,
Where stars do fall.
And the sun shines on,
Like never before,
Take my hand,
Let’s go through the door.
I see the rainbow,
Its colours so bright,
Together forever,
You’ve shown me the light.

Hearts Will Dance

Clarabelle Photography and Quotes, The light is love

Some things are just meant to be and when all seems lost and the door seems locked, in walks love…..forever love.  May you find beauty, love and peace in the following verse.

Hearts Will Dance

And through the pain,
She awaits his heart.
Missing his love,
When he did depart.
She hears his voice,
Whisper in her soul.
She feels his spirit,
Making her whole.
In all this time,
In all the tears.
Words, “I love you”,
Unspoken for years.
It’s not too late,
Now there’s a chance.
To be together,
Both hearts will dance.
As she closes her eyes,
With a peaceful mind.
She knows he is waiting,
True love they did find.

In Time….

Leadership Quote

Time is precious, this poem is for you.

Time is Precious

A dimension of hope,
A Universal clock.
Time gently passes,
Tick, Tick, Tock.

I look out the window,
What do I see?
A Vision of my mind,
Staring back at me.

Every little second,
Every tiny drop.
Fills the blue ocean.
Feeds the cold crop.

Rumbling in the mist,
This sound catches fire.
Your time is precious,
Fulfill your heart’s desire.

A Poem of the Heart

Intuition

Just before I start my days work, here is a poem of the heart for you:

A Poem of the Heart

A poem of the heart,
especially for you.
To make you feel loved,
so wonderful and true.
A poem from my soul,
lifting you up,
Raising your spirits,
with a half full cup.
A poem of truth,
with a magical spell.
This poem is for you,
and I wish you well.

Wishing you a very beautiful day today, share a piece of your heart.

To Veronica from Valerie

beach and birds

To a Very Special Friend

I was in a local charity shop yesterday and stumbled across this lovely little friendship book. On the inside of the book it says, “To Veronica from Valerie,” and I thought that was very cute.  I began reading some of the verses and poetry from within and the words really did touch my heart, I could relate to every verse.  There is one verse from Pam Brown which I especially connected with and it made me think of my friend right now, who is far away but I hope to see him very soon.

Far Away

In loneliness, in sickness, in confusion – the mere knowledge of friendship makes it possible to endure, even if the friend is powerless to help.  It is enough that they exist.  Friendship is not diminished by distance or time, by imprisonment or war, by suffering or silence.  It is in these things that it roots most deeply.  It is from these things that it flowers.  [Pam Brown, b. 1928]

I thought just so very beautiful and so very true.

Treasure your friends and let them know that you love them.

Lots of love, Clarabelle

Breathe

courage

I am in a poetic mood this morning, this one is for you, take it all in and just “Breathe”.

Breathe

Breathe in life,
energy from the sun.
Breathe in hope,
memories have begun.
Breathe in faith,
beauty of your heart.
Breathe in love,
the last jigsaw part.
Breathe in you,
Breathe in me.
Breathe in together.
Breathe in we.

4th of July Poem

4th of July

Here’s a 4th of July poem for you:

4th of July Poem

Her independence,
sets her free,
Happy spirited,
that is she.
Clouds pass by,
like her thoughts.
Windswept hair,
tied in knots.

Fireworks,
light her soul.
Angels dance,
she feels whole.
Born on this day,
high as a kite.
4th of July,
Is in full flight.

You Are Beautiful

When the heart is happy

In celebration of reaching over 27,000 visitors to this Clarabelle Blog, I was inspired to write the poem below for you:

You Are Beautiful

A flash in the pan,
A speckle of dust.
A grain of sand,
This is a must.

A soft goodbye,
A slight raindrop.
Sun in the sky,
A beep beep bop.

Happy smiles,
Joyful cuddles.
The sweetest kiss,
Dancing in the puddles.

For all is here,
All is now.
You are beautiful,
I love you, WOW!!

Lost Love and Gain

Clarabelle Photography and Quotes, The light is love

Poetic Mood

I’m in a poetic mood this morning, I say this morning because I haven’t went to sleep yet and it’s way past 1am, so I figured a good time to write a blog post for you to read when you wake up.  What’s this poem about?  Well I don’t really know, these words just came to mind, they just flowed out of my heart for you.  Wishing you a beautiful day today, love to you Clarabelle.

Lost Love and Gain

And all this time,
through all the pain.
She looks behind,
lost love and gain.

Happy pictures,
saddened faces.
Missed moments,
empty places.

But in her heart,
a fire does burn.
A light of hope,
a freedom u-turn.

Her peaceful mind,
simmers in the sun.
Fresh air on her face.
her dreams have begun.

On this journey of life….

beach and birds

Poetic reflections on the journey of life…..

On This Journey of Life

On this journey of life,
there are twists and turns.
Happy moments,
as the candle burns.
The sweetest temptation,
and all that’s good.
Sunshine and sunsets,
and delicious food.
On this journey of life,
there is also some sad.
Lots of good,
can turn to bad.
Tears may fall,
on sleepless nights.
Friends disagree,
and there’s family fights.
On this journey of life,
you get one shot.
You live it your way,
or give away a lot.
You can be kind.
and share your heart.
Love may last forever,
or tear apart.
On this journey of life,
I want you to know.
I want you to shine,
and abundantly grow.
I want you to be,
all that you can.
That strong Superwoman,
or courageous Superman.

A Little Thank You

Thank You cards
Clarabelle writing her “Thank You” cards

I’ve been writing out some “Thank You” cards over the weekend, to people I really want to say “Thank You” to, I honestly feel so good doing this.

Who do you want/need to say “Thank You” to?  I am sure it will make your day as much as that person’s day too.  Here is a wee, “Thank You” poem I created:

Thank You

Thank you, is all you need
To uplifts spirits, so true indeed
When you’re grateful, all is well
All is abundant, you can tell
So use these words, everyday
And gratitude will surely, come your way

(Extract from It’s All About Gratitude)

Thank You

Thank you
Today, I just want to say thank you……here’s a little poem for you.  Love Clarabelle

Thank You

Thank you, for being here,
all of the time.

Thank you, for your words,
they’re simply divine.

Thank you, for giving me,
strength from within.

Thank you, for “keep going”,
when fears creep in.

Thank you, for the lessons,
I don’t always get it right.

Thank you, for your warmth,
when I can’t sleep at night.

Thank you, two words,
especially for you.

Thank you, you’re everything,
to me and that’s true.

Day 17 of Clarabelle’s 90 Day Challenge

Progress Update

EP HJearts Apart by Clarabelle

On the 7th of February this year I decided to set myself a 90 Day Challenge to move forward with my Singing-Songwriting Career as successfully and as much as possible.  I was basically taking things up a gear and putting more effort and energy into the career transition process.  I honestly cannot believe how quickly times goes by and that I am now on Day 17 of the Clarabelle 90 Day Challenge.  Below is a list of some of the things I have achieved over the last 17 days:

  • My first EP, Hearts Apart will be available in CD format next week. I have been working closely with the photographers, designers, printers and recording studios to pull all this one together and I am so excited to have my first CD in my hands next week.
  • I have committed myself to organise and perform at 2 Live Gigs in the Village of Carfin where I was brought up in.  The 2 Live Gigs dates are Saturday, 3 May and Saturday, 24 May 2014 and the theme of the evening is very motivational, “Yes You Can” named after one of my original songs.  I have been co-ordinating a team of people to help me with this and organising Support Acts etc.. for the evening, it is all very exciting indeed.
  • I have been working on the content and the production of a Clarabelle Music App which is now available free for you to download, here is the link if you wish to download it: http://clarabellemusic.mobapp.at/landing/Desktop#.Uwo6EmJ_uSo
  • I have committed myself to weekly rehearsals for my Live Gigs, these are rehearsals OUT of my home, on stage where I can polish my performances and practice as much as possible.  I am still practising daily at home but feel I needed to get out of the house and get on stage, so I am doing that.
  • I have also been contacting well known Motivational Speakers to find out if there are any opportunities for me to sing my original motivational songs at one of their live events.  I feel their audience is a perfect audience for my inspirational songs, such as “Yes You Can”, “I Am The Greatest”, “In Time We Heal” and “Mr Inspirational” etc…
  • I have always been into my fitness and if you are a regular follower/visitor of this Clarabelle blog you will know I am a keen marathoner…Well, I have been getting down the gym more often and really “going for it“, I need lots of energy to perform on stage for 2 hours non-stop and I need to look AMAZING in my super sparkly dress….so this is another focus I have, together with my healthier eating.
  • I have been updating my Clarabelle Facebook page on a daily basis with all my progress and tried to get other people involved in doing a 90 Day Challenge for themselves.  There are a few people on board which is really great and I am so delighted for them.  Here is a link to my Clarabelle Facebook page if you wish to stay updated with my progress on a daily basis:  https://www.facebook.com/clarabelle.org
  • As you will see I have also been working on improving the look of this Clarabelle Blog and I have changed the layout to fit more with showcasing my original music and poetry.  I have also added in some more professional photos from my photo shoot which took pace in Glasgow City Centre last month…..more to follow soon!!
  • I continue to listen to Motivational speakers every day, as I know I need to keep a strong, positive mind and stay super focused on the goal in hand. I usually listen to a couple of hours each day, this really does keep my mind staying really positive and strong.  I get a lot of positive feedback on my music and poetry, thank YOU, but some times I don’t and I can read some really tough criticism, so the stronger my mind is, the better I can handle this challenging feedback.  I do my best to turn this negative feedback into a positive and use it to improve what I’m doing.
  • I continue with my daily gratitude exercises, as shared in the eBook I wrote, It’s All About Gratitude.  I set up a Gratitude Facebook page so I could share the wisdom and learning from this eBook with others.  If you wish to check it out, here is the facebook link for, “It’s All About Gratitude” Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/itsallaboutgratitude
  • I have also been working with designers to create a new Clarabelle T-Shirt design.  I think the designer did an amazing job, see photo below.  What do you think?Clarabelle t-shirt design

Loving This

So, there you have it, that’s a very brief update on my progress so far over the last 17 Days and I must say I am loving this 90 Day Challenge I set myself, it really is helping me to stay super focused and “on the ball”.  I know I am entering a very tough industry….well, so everyone keeps telling me, but I must stayed focused on my goal in hand…..let’s see how far I get…..this transition is not a sprint it’s a marathon and well after running 3, I think I have the right attitude and stamina to go all the way.  What do you think?

Thank you, as always, for being here and for your continued love and support, I really am truly grateful for it and I do really mean that sincerely.  Thank YOU, Love Clarabelle

Always Singing

My mum tells me that her memories of me as a child, is that I was always singing, all the time, from morning till night – she said, I wouldn’t stop.  Then I did one day and it took 30 years to come back.  This Clarabelle sound that you hear now, I believe is still the sound of the inner child in me…..a child who believes in the beauty of her dreams. This poem is a mirror part of that story and a true reflection of me, I hope you like it.  Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle

She Was 5

She was 5,
her heart did sing.
Every day,
about everything.

She had friends,
so happy and true.
Little children,
smiling through.

They played games,
had lots of fun.
Carfin was the Village,
under the sun.

Talent shows,
we’d give it our all.
“Come in for your tea”
Mum would call.

So much laughter,
living in joy.
The happiest times,
for each girl and boy.

Then she got older,
singing no more.
A typical teenager,
closed every door.

But as time went by,
30 years on,
the silence awakened,
and her light it shone.

Uncovering her soul,
being true to her heart.
The singing came back,
the most fulfilling part.

The friends of her childhood,
will remember this song.
“Dreamer” was the title,
our voices were strong.

We might have been children,
lost in the crowd.
Holding hands in the limelight,
our parents were proud.

When we let go,
sometimes wrong or right.
True dreams are like a boomerang.
They will win any fight.

The Unknown Road

Clarabelle Poetry

I thought I would share some poetry with you today.  I hope you like it  and may you embrace “The Unknown Road”.  Much love to you today, as always, Clarabelle.

The Unknown Road

The unknown road,
with its turns and twists.
Victory till the end,
it’s fighting fists.
Darkness may fall,
but within, is a light.
It leads the way,
like a shining knight.
It takes no prisoners,
it wins no wars.
This path to almighty,
has invisible corridors.
And the only way,
to find your way out.
Is to believe in you.
Have faith, no doubt.
The self is strong,
heart moves your soul.
Feel your way through,
Let love be your goal.

Pure Love

Be fearless

Creative Mind

A couple of weeks ago I was in the Hospital waiting room for over an hour so I decided to put my creative mind to good use and write some poems.  Below is one of the four poems I wrote for you that day, entitled “Pure Love”, I hope you love it and I hope you live it!! Love Clarabelle

Pure Love

Like flipping a switch,
free your mind.
Let down the barriers,
and peace you’ll find.
Wars are not won,
with a broken heart.
That battle is lost,
before you start.
Forgive in the moment,
open the door.
Vulnerability is a strength,
see yourself soar.
Capture in the now,
the real essence of you,
A feeling of pure love,
shining through.

Lovely Poem

I bought this beautiful card today with such a lovely poem on it, as a gentle reminder to myself to pray everyday – and I will.  I thought I would share what the poem says on the card, with you.  I hope it touches your heart the way it did with mine.  Lots of love, Clarabelle.

the Difference

I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me,
and heavier came each task.
‘Why doesn’t God help me?’
I wondered;
he answered, ‘You didn’t ask.’
I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on grey and bleak.
I wondered why God didn’t show me;
he said, ‘You didn’t seek.’
I tried to come into God’s presence;
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
‘My child, you didn’t knock.’

I woke up early this morning,
and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.

The Story of Life

best days

What’s Your Story?

What’s your story?  Where is your heart’s passion taking you?  Today, in this moment, tomorrow is unknown, with no guarantees of what will be, until it happens.  You have right now, you have this moment, yes, pinch yourself, this one, right now, this moment…..to do something that is going to enhance the story of your life.  This next poem is all about that., I hope you like it.  Much love to you today, Clarabelle

The Story of Life

The story of life,
its twists and turns,
a loving a heart,
a flame that burns.
Head in the clouds,
Dreams at my door.
Living life curiously,
wonders to explore.
To never give up,
To never give in.
A stubborn mind,
Or an attitude to win.
For all you have,
Is here and now.
It’s in this moment,
Take a bow.
For what you seek,
Is seeking you.
Words of wisdom,
do come true.
So believe in your soul,
Have faith in the dark.
Your story of life.
Is making its mark.

Tonight’s the Night

First Ever Gig

Well tonight’s the night that I do my first ever Gig and I’m really excited.  This one tonight is just a private Gig for close family and it will be really good to have a very encouraging and supportive crowd first time round.  Lots of planning, practice and preparation goes into even such a small Gig like this, but at least it will prepare me for when I hit the BIG TIME!!!  🙂 🙂 🙂

Tonight’s Gig will be recorded on video and I will share some of it on here in the near future, so please look out for it.

Below is a wee poem I have just created about tonight, I hope you like it.  Thank you for being here, love Clarabelle

Tonight’s the Night

All the planning,
all the prep.
Another song,
another rep.
Exciting times,
passionate heart.
Dreams taking shape,
and this is one part.
I thank you all,
for being here,
By my side,
I love you dear.
So as the curtain falls,
I smile from within,
My destiny has awakened,
it’s a musical win.

Will She Make It?

Success

Reflective Mode

As you know I love to share my poems with you and whilst in reflective mode this morning I wrote the one below……..and even though I know you know this one is about me, I feel it is also about YOU, because we’re all connected in a beautiful way.  Be the “happening” of your dreams today.  Lots of love Clarabelle.

Will She Make It?

She looks beyond,
the stars above.
She feels her passion,
she embraces the love.
For all she has,
is all she dreams.
Reaching out,
to glittering sunbeams.
A twisted fate,
a serendipity goodbye.
Moves her on,
many tears she did cry.
But she is hope,
ambitions from afar.
She sees the light,
as she raises the bar.
No more hurt,
no more pain.
Will she make it?
singing in the rain.

My Childhood in Carfin

carfin-gd.jpg

Carfin Past and Present

There is new facebook group that was created last week and it is about the village I grew up in, “Carfin Past and Present”.  What a wonderful idea it was by Maureen Strachan, I feel it really is bringing that community spirit back together again, even though the group members now live in all different parts of the world.  A very special thank you to Maureen for creating the group, what a tremendous idea it was.

Old Photos

So the lovely people who lived in the village of Carfin when I was a child are posting up their old photos and I must say they are absolute crackers (in a good way) and many have brought a tear to my eye.  There was one in particular (below) which I thought I would share with you.

Clarabelle from Carfin
A Young Clarabelle in the red track suit

The photo is from the Carfin Carnival Week sports day in the 1980s.  I looked at myself in this photo and I honestly just wanted to be that child again, because the happy memories I have from my childhood are second to none.

I feel very very blessed to have been brought up in a small village with such beautiful community spirit, where everyone knew your name and looked out for you – I miss that lovely feeling.  This facebook group and the old photos, inspired me to write the poem below, I hope you like it.  Maybe this has given you the idea to start up a similar facebook group or connect with some old friends.  Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle.

My Childhood in Carfin

I look at that child
I want to be her
I forgot her smile
My memory is blur
She looks so sweet
Just happy and content
Laughing with friends
Time well spent

As time goes by
Photos bring tears
Fun loving memories
From Carfin past years
A community with hope
and full of pride
A village of families
Where love did reside

A strength and spirit
very special to us all
My childhood in Carfin
with kick the can and football
We made up the games
for lots of children to play
We sometimes did fight
But were friends the next day

So when I think of this time
More than 30 years ago
I only remember good
and the Carnival talent show
Carfin was the best
I’ll say it till I die
My childhood in Carfin
Happy tears I do cry

Poetry: Wish Upon A Penny

Clarabelle's Wish Upon A Penny necklace

Personalised Wish Upon A Penny Necklace

I got this beautiful “Wish Upon A Penny” Clarabelle necklace created (handmade) for me as a special momentum of the poetry work that I do.  I have noticed that the search engines recently have been picking up on my poem “Wish Upon A Penny” and I am so very grateful to all the blog visitors reading and liking this poem.  I thought this lovely little bespoke penny necklace beautifully represents the “Wish Upon A Penny” poem so well and especially the words “In God We Trust” because I have complete faith in everything I do and go for in life – please see poem below, I hope you like it – oh, and don’t forget to make a wish!!  Love to you, Clarabelle.

Wish Upon a penny necklace

Wish Upon a Penny

I listen in the silence, sweet birdies do sing,
Should I turn on the TV and drown out their din?
I will ignore their calling, just for a while,
I’ve a busy mind, chores they do pile.
The sun it may shine, but my heads in a cloud,
A storm is brewing, amongst this crowd.
I’m strangled in frustration, fighting the war,
No one sees me and my internal decor.
To just get by, another day,
Gives me hope, paves the way.

Then Lightning strikes, STOP, look at your life,
Look at your reactions, creating this strife.
Sing another song, dance to another tune,
Darkness will fade, here comes the moon.
See the beauty, in each moment now,
Look in the mirror, don’t ask how.
Be grateful for your riches, you have many,
Create a new you, wish upon a penny.

You’ve Got To Believe

energy

Self Belief

Having self belief in your own capabilities and potential is such an important ingredient to moving forward and achieving your dreams and goals in life. When you believe in yourself, you create such a positive energy around you that is contagious and others also believe in what you see for yourself.  This next poem is inspired by just that, keep going my friend and stay stronger than ever, because indeed, I believe you will get there.  Love Clarabelle.

You’ve Got to Believe

You’ve got to believe,
in all of you.
Your talents are amazing,
you’re a dream come true.
Believe and have faith,
you will reach that star.
It’s waiting for you,
shining down from afar.
Your energy will shift,
when your vision is strong.
You’ve got to believe,
this is where you belong.

Dreams

Dreams are for the taking, don’t let them lie dormant in your heart, set your spirit free, jump on that cloud and fly towards them.  What are you waiting for? Just do it!!  The poem below is inspired by just that.  Much love to you today, Clarabelle

I Dreamed a Dream

I dreamed a dream,
thought impossible today.
The essence of paradise,
a beautiful way.

I dreamed a dream,
of hope and forgiving.
Captivating hearts,
extraordinary living.

I dreamed a dream,
of future smiles.
Love and laugher,
going on for miles.

I dreamed a dream,
it swirls around me.
A life changing dream.
I know this will be.
