A journey of hope, inspiration and magical wisdom.

A journey, that starts with your heart and leads you to that place of knowing.

It’s not necessarily the physical step – that one foot in front of the other. It’s the imaginery leap your mind takes when it envisions your dream life, your dream being….your ultimate dream.

You see, it’s not just a dream – is it?

It’s the BEST part of YOU manifesting your purest beauty into what we know as “reality”.

When I created my “Card Candy” logo, I wanted it to reflect me, my bubbly personality and energetic radiance. I made it so bright, cheerful, colourful, vibrant and memorable.

Your own journey must reflect the miracle that is you. You are perfect, just the way you are.

I feel your heart with me, as we dream together, taking bold steps into the unknown.

There is no 5 year plan, no logical explanation, just the captivation of what it is.

I am ME and you are YOU and we magically collide like shooting stars.

The midnight sky creates all the space we need for our starry lights to dance around together.

Look up to the sky tonight and you will see it. An explosion of happiness, joy and uniqueness – that’s you.

There is no need to rush the creation of your dream life, because it exists in you already…waiting to be unleashed.

Synchronicities and coincidences are maybe what “real world” likes to call them, but deep down, you know exactly what’s happening. Our energies are joining hands with the Universe and you become so powerfully magnetic to everything wonderful on that frequency.

Often these lessons come when you least expect them, then WHAM…..in they come…FAST!

These unexpected lessons, that throw you off your game, can be the biggest and best lessons of your entire life.

I’ve had many of these hard lessons – one very recently….. and oh my, it’s a tough pill to swallow!

When learning a new skill, it can be a roller coaster of emotions…..both terrifying and exhausting at the same time.

BUT…I want you to believe in yourself – you must KEEP GOING!

Remember this….nothing changes, if NOTHING CHANGES!

Don’t go backwards in life, your dreams are ahead.

Carrbridge, Highlands of Scotland

This video was captured in the beautiful historic village of Carrbridge, in the Highlands of Scotland. This is the view of the 18th century packhorse bridge, in which the area is famous for.

If you ever get a chance to visit the Highlands, I would recommend a visit to that popular tourist spot and also the surrounding areas of Boat of Garten and Aviemore – all part of the Cairngorms National Park.

The Highlands of Scotland is one of the most magical places I’ve been to. Its natural beauty is just breathtaking and the local residents are so welcoming and friendly.

Honestly, if you are thinking of going, please do contact me, I can offer you some worthwhile guidance on where to stay, what to do and where to go.

It holds a very special place in my heart, and I genuinely believe it healed me during some tough times in life. The funny thing is, I wasn’t aware of its healing powers whilst living there, but when I Iook back, I know it did exactly that.

If there is a destination that you have always wanted to visit, then you must do your best to make that happen.

Constantly being in the one spot can become dull and stagnant. Your curious soul thrives to feel alive in new environments.

Write a list of the places you’ve always wanted to go to and do what you can to get there.

I want you to think about how this quote speaks to you. In my own mind, it creates a sense of appreciation and gratitude for the now and the magic of life itself. It pushes me to see ‘LIFE IN LIFE’ and to cherish that each and everyday.

Truly ‘live’ your life and know what that means for you.

Stand by YOU

Turbulent times in life can eat away at your self-esteem but they can also make you super resilient and unbelieveably strong.

I choose tough times to ‘MAKE ME’ rather than, ‘break me’ and I guess, that’s just how I internally respond.

I think it’s the challenge seeker in me and possibly watching too many Rocky films when I was a child! Regardless of any punches that keep coming, I know I will always bounce back – every single time.

So what is it within me that gives me this fighting back spirit? I don’t really know but I do have this absolute determination and robust self-belief that if someone else can succeed at something, then I can too. I never ever look at anyone in ‘awe’ or wish I was them – I have always loved being me. I was never a fan of anyone or anything – I was happiest just being me.

Don’t get me wrong, there were lots of times growing up when I would hold back, be overly self-conscious and under confident BUT I promise you, I never wanted to be anyone else. I have felt fear, rejection, unloved and lost – especially as a young adult but as I put myself out into the world I started to become more ambitious and be magnetically attracted to self-success.

Instead of happily being led, I found myself naturally becoming the LEADER and feeling very comfortable in this role. As I found my own inner greatness, I would encourage and support others to fulfill their own potential too. Even to this day, I constantly see and seek out the BEST in everyone and that thinking gives me the most beautiful joy.

Many people have called me naive, too much of a ‘yes’ person, a people pleaser and a wearer of ‘rose tinted’ glasses. Personally, that doesn’t bother me too much and I don’t think that of me at all. I know my BEST growth has come from being true to me.

Have I gone off track? Yes, lots of times, and the only way I have managed to pull things back on track, is by realigning to my core values – it works every time!

I encourage you to STAND BY YOU and hold your position as strongly as you can, in the field that you want to grow in. Nurture your mind and body with good habits that will serve you well in the now and in the future.

Focus on developing your SELF-LEADERSHIP and CHAMPION every effort you make in order to change your life for the better.

After all. . . . .

A Good Life

A good life can give you all the stability and certainty you need….that I feel, maybe a staple foundation for a good life…..you know, you have a safe and secure routine and it kinda works out alright for you – I know this because I’ve been there…..for 20 years I had a good life like that.

A Great Life

A great life, a super duper amazing life, may often give you much less of the above – less stability, less certainty, less security however for me, this great life offers so much more, more excitement, more freedom, more creativity, more time for myself, more love for what I do, more giving, more sharing, more authenticity, more surprises, more adventures, more new experiences, more new people, more fun, more exploration……wow, the list goes on.

A Gamble

So today I gamble my “good life” for a “great life” and you know what, it really is working for me right now. It was a brave step forward but I know in my heart of hearts it was definitely the right thing to do for me. Not everyone sees it that way but this is MY LIFE and I have to live it and experience it my way…..the great way!!

I see you, I know you’re watching me, I believe you are listening to every word I whisper, I feel you’re desire for a better you, a better life, a new tomorrow.

But I know you are a little scared, you have fears, but you’re going to be alright, you’re going to be much much better than alright. How do I know this? I just know this, because that’s why you’re here, everyday you visit me and you know it will help you, you know it will help you ease your current pain and you’re gonna make it.

Did you hear me right?  Yes, you, YOU, you’re gonna make it, that dream you’ve always wanted to achieve, that burning ambition living inside of you……it’s making its way to your heart, it wants to breathe true life into you, it’s getting ready to take on the world and nothing is going to stop it, which means nothing is going to stop you.

Pause for a moment, think about it……really think about it, you can see it right?  I know you can, because I can see it too. WOW, it looks amazing, your future self is so grateful you took the courage and made the first step now.  Go on, take another step, that’s right, you’re doing really great…….do you feel your heart smiling, it is you know, it is smiling with super joy because you’re heading in the right direction.  Where are you going?  Maybe we could do this together, help each other along the way, two brave soldiers heading out into battle and the only outcome possible is reaching the rainbow at the other end.

What a great day this is, this is the most amazing day for you, you might not realise it yet, but you’ve just climbed a huge mountain and you’re now looking at the view from the top……..You may be a little bruised getting here, but you’ve got here, wasn’t it all worth it, don’t you agree that you deserve so much better for you and for your family.  Let’s go my friend, there’s another mountain to climb, but we’re in this together, fighting with our hearts and minds to achieve EVERYTHING that we want and more.

Reflect on your life as it is today and get prepared to fill in the future blank pages…..what do you want the pages to say about your life going forward?

My future pages are filled with love, happiness, adventures, exploration, new discoveries, exciting experiences and the achievement of passionate aims….I see myself super healthy, wealthy and forever happy and I am inspiring people all over the world with my creativity.

Go on create today your successes of tomorrow….see that for yourself now and feel how good that feels.

A Paratrooper….

I saw an Ad
To write to you
You wanted a friend
Another focus too.

In January 97,
You said “Hello”
“My name is Steve
I have a sore toe.

From all the marching,
And running too,
It bleeds sometimes,
But this is what I do.

I jump from planes,
It was scary at first.
But now these skyfalls
Quench my thirst.

I love to travel,
I love the sun
I’m studying like crazy.
When not with a gun.

A paratrooper by title,
I was 18 at the start,
5 years later,
A strong soldier with a heart.

Sometimes I’m lonely,
A lot of times I’m not.
So busy with my life,
I make good of what I’ve got.

I love my fitness,
It’s important to me.
I try to improve,
Be the best I can be.

Sorry if this letter,
Arrived a little late.

In a strange kind of way.

As the clouds pass by,

Don’t Rush the Process

It’s easy to feel frustrated that things are moving as fast as you would like them to, that progress seems slow or non-existent at present.  However, have faith and patience that the results will come and that you will achieve the right outcomes for you.  Frustration can be a good thing, it just means you’re ready, you’re ready for CHANGE……and once you’re ready, well anything can happen, believe me….and it positively will.

Don’t rush the process, because in time the rewards will come, so keep putting in every effort to the little things and big changes will appear.

Miracle to Life

As the angel, holds my soul,

The brightest diamond, comes out of coal.

Sparkling like stars, glistening forever,

Floating in the air, flowing like a river.

The staircase is calling, I see the light,

The sun would not change, this darkest night.

But somewhere from within, the heart beats stronger,

Vibrating positive energy, sadness no longer.

I Love You

When the heart is happy

Three of the most powerful words that touch your soul like no other, that make your heart smile inside, that help you to believe that anything is possible and that give you hope for the future and peace in the now.  What are these words?….these words can only be:

“I Love You”

Say it out loud, right now, feel how those words feel, those are three of the most impactful words you will ever say to someone.  Those three little words can turn EVERYTHING around for the better.  “I Love You” said with true meaning and heart can raise a shattered soul from the gutter and uplift it so much that it will be dancing with the birds around the sun.

When was the last time you told someone you loved them?  I know you know they know it, but when did you actually look them in the eyes, hold their hands and say to them “I Love you”?

Do it today, do it for yourself and do it for them……make today an “I Love You” day.  I KNOW it will make you and the other person feel so good.

Change is Good

Burning Ambition

Welcome Change

I know a lot of people don’t like change but personally I welcome change.  I thrive in new settings, new beginnings, meeting new people, learning new things, overcoming new challenges, working in new and changing environments, I love it all.  So I encourage you today, to think about what you would like to change in your life today, what little or large change could you make to your daily habits, your environment, your job, your relationships, that will enhance your skills, knowledge, experience or just make you that little bit happier and/or more content with you and your life.

Change is good, it will sometimes take you out of your comfort zone and into your learning zone.

Change is good, it can be refreshing and revigorating meeting new people and/or being in a new environment

Change is GOOD…….Change is GOOD.  🙂

Please remember, even a small change could make all the difference to your day, try a new fruit or putting fresh flowers in a dull room, it’s amazing how that can uplift your spirits.

To a Very Special Friend

I was in a local charity shop yesterday and stumbled across this lovely little friendship book. On the inside of the book it says, “To Veronica from Valerie,” and I thought that was very cute.  I began reading some of the verses and poetry from within and the words really did touch my heart, I could relate to every verse.  There is one verse from Pam Brown which I especially connected with and it made me think of my friend right now, who is far away but I hope to see him very soon.

Living the Solution

Some things might surprise you.

I have had the experience recently of being very surprised with some of my life situations.  Fairly recently, I put my life in a suitcase and moved to another country, to what I thought was going to be the best job ever, I thought the job was going to give me everything I ever wanted.  I was so positive about it, so excited, so “up for the challenge”…..,.basically, I was super ready for this!!  Then when I get there, it turns out to not be what I expected, but hey that’s okay, I accepted that and moved on!!  You see I know what is important to me in life and I know what I need from a job that will make every day a joy for me to be there – that way the company get the best out of me in every way possible.

So what happened next?  Where do you go from here?

I tell you what I did.  I didn’t moan about the situation, I was truthful with everyone around me – especially myself, and focused on the solution to the problem…..NOT the problem.  You see there is a BIG difference, a HUGE difference.  I know that you get what you focus on, please let me repeat that, YOU GET WHAT YOU FOCUS ON 🙂 So I knew that I had to focus on the solution, I did, and within 2 weeks, I was LIVING the solution, albeit a temporary solution, but still a SOLUTION.  Yippee, yippee, yippee, this is a prime example of a positive outcome from focusing on the solution.

This temporary solution has actually worked out much better than I expected, a billion percent better……and it’s now got me thinking, that the place  I am at now, this “temporary” place, was actually a permanent piece of the jigsaw puzzle.

I am currently working on a more permanent solution to my career, but that needs more reflection and more time to get me to the next destination.  I now have absolute full clarity on what I need going forward, the misty fog has cleared and there are very beautiful and very bright days ahead.

Please remember, FOCUS ON THE SOLUTION, not the problem and LIVE THE SOLUTION, even if it is temporary, you just never know where it may lead you.

I was thinking today about some of the beautiful places I have travelled to, here are 10 of my happy memories:

1.  Watching the morning sun rise at the Top of the Empire State Building, New York City, USA

2.  Watching the Sunset at the top of Table Mountain, Cape Town, South Africa

3.  Bowling with school friends in Valkenburg, Holland

4.  Watching the Dancing Fountains outside the Burj Kalifa, Dubai, UAE

5.  Partying and having much fun with friends in Las Vegas, USA

6.  Relaxing in the outside spas of The Blue Lagoon in Iceland

7.  Having a lovely evening dinner outside in a family restaurant in Asolo, Italy

8.  Riding on the back of a motorbike as the sun was setting heading into Venice, Italy

9. Watching a young couple get married and happily parading down the street in Mahdia, Tunisia

10.  Partying with friends at the Tartan Army Week in New York City, USA

These are just some of the wonderful memories from places I have been so lucky enough to have travelled to over the years, yes, I am very lucky indeed.

Change is Good

Now that I have swapped rainy Scotland for Sunny Dubai for a while, I sit here in my new home reflecting on the decisions and choices I made that took me here.

When the opportunity came about a couple of months ago, my mindset was strong, positive and open to change. It simply just felt right at the time and when the decision was made to go it was like the Universe opened up and encouraged me along the way.

I went out for a walk on my own last night and stayed out for almost 5 hours, I was enjoying each present moment and felt happy, content and free. I was experiencing life in the moment, in a city I had never been to before and I felt no fear, it was like this was just meant to be.

So whether I stay here for a long time or a short time, I guess time will tell. Right now I feel that this one step will lead me to greatness, a greatness from within where fear has no home.

Remember it’s the decisions that you make everyday in your life that creates your path for tomorrow. What will your tomorrow look like? One thing I do know is that my tomorrow will be hot and sunny.

This future is yours, choose well.

The Key to a Successful Blog

I think the key to a successful blog is to truly write about things you are passionate about because I feel this shows throughout your writing.  If you stick to that, then you want to and look forward to writing blog posts, you are excited about sharing your thoughts with the world.  In this mode then, there is no need for the “push” effect because it’s “pull” all the way, like a magnet, a strong attraction to continue to write and share.

So if you’re thinking about starting up your own blog or wanting to stay in the “pull” effect, write about your passions, because when you write about this stuff, you will feel good and readers will also feel good reading it too.

Live Gig

I haven’t produced a blog post for over a week, it’s been so busy with my live Gig etc.. last week and my move to Dubai at the end of this month.

I just wanted to share with you one of my videos from my live Gig last Saturday in my home village of Carfin, 3 May 2014.  We had such a successful evening and the event was filled with lots of love and beautiful community spirit – it was so lovely to be part of.

The video that I share with you below is my original song, “I Am Here” which I created in May 2013 and I share with you, at the beginning of this video ,who it is dedicated to.

In under a year I turned my dreams into reality and I now hold those special memories of last Saturday’s Gig alive in my heart forever.
