To all the “tryers” out there – I love you for it.
If you try and KEEP GOING, you’ll eventually get somewhere, but if you try and then stop trying, you’ll only go backwards.
Just like a beautiful flower, you are meant to flourish and blossom. Look to nature, to be your guide. Nature always yearns to grow, to dig deeper roots, to bloom and bear fruits. It’s your duty to personally develop and move yourself forward.
To thrive is a forever gift.
Do all you can to enhance and nurture your natural talents and you’ll evolve in this world.
Your untapped potential is eager to be set free.
Let the best of you flow out and it will find a way to connect and light up.
Your positive energy is more powerful than the sun.
Your inner glow shines brighter than the stars.
You are a sweet miracle.
Believe you have what it takes to dream it and do it.
Don’t wait for the opportunity, seek what you deserve – the BEST!
I didn’t know or believe I had that much power, until I took myself on a dreamlike journey to faraway lands.
Wonderful places of inspiration, hope, nurture and nature.
Self-challenge has taught me a lot about life – mainly, that the magic you seek “out there” is actually not there, but the real miracle lives within you.
A beautiful life therefore, is an inside job.
Too often we search for the meaning of life in all the wrong places.
We never have to travel very far to experience the “magical“. Your inner light and very being, holds that specialness.
In pain, passion and purpose we become invincible – please read that one again!
Our strength is not always obvious at first; usually we become aware of it, as we look back on life; when we recognise the difficult barriers we have overcome.
Sometimes you have to reach “rock bottom” to ignite your super powers – for that’s where the heart of true resilience and the real spirit of determination beats.
An achieved life is usually treasured more greatly, after a significant fall. I call this “peace of mind“.
If you’ve never fallen, you’ll never really know how AMAZING you are.
I remember, many years ago, I cried for help…..”out there”. It took me, for what felt like a lifetime, to realise it was ON ME to truly help myself.
My choices, my decisions, my actions, my thinking, my feeling….ALL OF ME.
When you take accountability and responsibility for where you’re currently at – you can make HUGE progress from there.
If however, you are playing the “blame game”, you’ll never really be able to self-actualize your unique power.
There is one quote by Christopher Gardner that ignites a fire in me like no other…
“The cavalry ain’t coming”
There is just something about this quote that always motivates me into immediate action.
If you want to change something in your life for the better – it’s ON YOU my friend.
If you want to blame anyone for your current unwanted situation – blame yourself.
That’s just how I have always responded to challenges in my life. I need and want to take accountability, then I go about changing it, like there’s no tomorrow.
That’s my drive – the power to know I can change things for the better.
I often think, “if they can do it, so can I”.
So take a look at your life – what’s stopping you from achieving self-greatness?
It took me a good long 10 years to get my own greeting card website up and running. It took over a year to be built by the website developer and I’m now proud to say www.cardcandy.shop is alive and kicking.
The good thing about this is my customers can now purchase from me direct, without going through commission based ecommerce platforms such as Amazon and Etsy. This means less seller fees for me and I can keep greeting card prices more reasonable for customers and ship worldwide.
It’s never too late to turn your creative passions into a fully flowing business or side hustle. A lot of the time I had to work full-time whilst building my businesses.
It’s never easy but always worth it.

Are you thinking of starting a new business venture using your creative talents?
If you are, I fully support you and look forward to hearing all about it one day.
Recently, I decided to focus more on being in a happier state of mind. Letting go of draining problem thinking and moving my mind into radiating solutions.
My aim is to keep my vibe high, in order to attract only good things my way.
Sailing by Christopher Cross
A few days ago, I posted an article about Christopher Cross’s beautiful song, “Sailing” and I have chosen to “really believe” in his lyrical message.
Because I believe in the “miracles” he sings about, it has put my mind more at ease, and I know it’s “just a matter of time” before I expand further into greatness.
In Christoper’s words, “Oh the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see, really, believe me”.
I do really believe and because this belief brings me joy, my inner self is elevated to a higher level, bringing more goodness to me.
Last year, I was told to “Expect the Unexpected”. It was expressed in a positive way, referring to me as being a “good person” who will always receive good surprises. What a lovely thing to hear from someone.
Yesterday, I received a lovely unexpected surprise and I believe true “miracles” are starting to show up for me. My happier thinking and feelings are welcoming them in.
I now listen to Christopher’s “Sailing” song every morning, because I believe his music is gifted with a “spiritual” message.
Your wondrous mind is so very powerful and when it’s blended with the pure goodness of your heart – there lives the miracle.
Be mindful of what you’re focussing on, because you’ll usually get more of that.
I awakened during the night and couldn’t get back to sleep, so I thought I would put this time to good use.
Poetry is my “go to” place, it’s like self-therapy, freeing my soul towards the light.

I would rather fill my mind with meaningful poetry than worries of war.
Focussing on problems, won’t serve me well and makes me feel worse.
My goal in life is to be a little better everyday and that means keeping my mind occupied with good thoughts and doing good things – like beautiful poetry.
Creative flow is a natural remedy for self-help. When I see “white space”, I am allured by its unlimited potential. Pure imagination blended with a burst of endless possibility, where the mind escapes into boundless territory and uses poetic words to reflect that sensation.
Eternal escapism.
Heaven on earth.
Divine oneness.
I am so very lucky to be able to enter this captivating world, in any moment. There is so much joy in that blessing. A special gift, we can all access. Often, the reason we don’t, is because our lives are so terribly busy and the noise of problems, born in “automatic pilot mode” usually steals our day. Be careful, it doesn’t thieve you of your life.
Your mind yearns for a little more softness, peace and tranquility.
A quiet mind is such a powerful tool.
Maybe it’s time for you to, discover your inner joy, through the space and light of life.
The first step, is for you to be aware and the rest will flow from there.
I shall go back to sleep now, with a fulfilled heart and harmonious mind.
Think about the things you truly love doing and have a deep connection to. How does being immersed in these interests make you feel?
You want to be involved in activities that make you feel alive.
Do things that align with your soul.
Make time for you, the real you.
Peace of heart and tranquility of mind are fully embodied, when you dance to the tune of your bliss.
Happiness is a feeling that can be tapped into at any moment of your day.
If you think happy things, you cannot be sad – read that one again!
Therefore, the power of your self-happiness is just a happy thought away.
Happy thoughts, create happy feelings, which then lead to doing things that make you feel even more happier.
The happy thought comes first, but it’s the happy ‘feeling’ that ignites the positive action.
1.THINK
2.FEEL
3.DO
When I was heavily into my coaching, believe me, I studied this field constantly. I read countless books on everything related to self-mastery.
I not only shared it with my coachees but I applied all the learnings to myself. I had to test it out before sharing it.
This type of brain work takes a lot of practice – I mean MASSIVE amounts.
Basically, you have to reprogramme your mind to new thinking, and the old programne that’s been running for many years, does not want to budge. It is rigid, stuck, locked in, set in stone….but not impossible to change.
I know this stuff inside out and even I find it extremely difficult to master. I’ve been practising this daily since 2008. Yes, 16 years trying to reprogramme my mind.
I believe this new thinking, is growing strong roots and the fruits of this are starting to blossom.
It takes daily effort, increased self-awareness, strong self-belief and a deep knowing that true transformation is taking place.
At times, and especially at the beginning of this change process, your mind is going to be exhausted. It will take up so much of your mental energy, because your brain is creating a new set of neural pathways. I’m not going to go that deep into it, but if you are interested in reading more on how the brain can change, read books on the subject of neuroplasticity – FASCINATING!
I believe the body is self-healing. How can something so perfectly formed, not have internal intelligence to heal?
I know you have more self-power than you can ever imagine.
I believe, we are super human beings, who haven’t yet fully discovered how to tap into our genius.
Your greatest potential is waiting to be unleashed – don’t fight it – let it out.
You are truly remarkable in every sense of the word.
Believe in you.
Believe in your capabilities.
Believe only magnificence lies before you.
Give yourself that gift – watch the short video I created below. 💛
I want to make a promise to you. I promise, I will do my best to write to you on this Clarabelle blog everyday.
If, for any unforeseen reason, I am unable to write to you, there will be a genuine explanation for it.
This means, if you commit to showing up on this blog daily, you’ll never feel alone, because I AM HERE writing for you.
I will continue to share positivity, poetry, empowering posts, inspirational stories, motivational mindset messages, words of wisdom, original music videos and happy thoughts.
You’ll never feel alone or lonely if you choose to camp out on this blog.
I’m not planning on going anywhere but here. So wherever I am in the world, I’ll be writing to you my friend.
Let’s get lost in the moment together, embracing only goodness into our lives.
We are a team now, mastering our minds to create the highest good.
I am grateful for you…always.
Thanking YOU – the video below is especially for you. 💛
I was brought up in a quiet little village in bonny Scotland called Carfin and I had the most AMAZING childhood – really I did!
Obviously, this was before the days of home computers and mobile phones, when most local children where outside on the streets playing together and using their imaginations to make up fun games that were played for hours upon end.
Everyone knew your name in Carfin and as you walked by every local resident, you were always greeted by your first name and a warm hearty smile.
Those were the days when no one needed to lock their doors at night and children played together safely outside till 10pm during the summer school holidays.
Carfin Village
I believe my childhood back then was beyond magical and a wondrous gift that will live in my heart forever.
In my experience, there are no better friends than your childhood friends and I can still see us back then playing “kick-the-can”, “football rounders” and the best game ever “lee-voy”… still no idea how you spell that one!
As much as I loved my upbringing in Carfin, I never really wanted to live there all my life (well my first 26 years I did) – I have a fond memory as a child in the local swingpark, being mesmerized by the faraway distant night city lights – imagining it was America and I’d get excited about the dream of being there one day! I really was that “big dreamer” type of kid and thankfully, still am to this day, and I truly love that about me!
Being an ambitious dreamer has gotten me everywhere in life and I wear this badge of honour well, with unshakeable self-belief – “if they can do it…well I can do it too”.
I also have this belief in others and always encourage others to adopt this strong positive mindset – it’s my nature, like an inbuilt software computer programme deleting any doubts and negativity like a virus.
At the young age of 81 years, my mum still lives in our childhood family home in Carfin and when I visit, I often stay in my old bedroom – it feels like a haven of safety and love and when I look out the bedroom window, I can still see all the beautiful memories of my childhood flash before me – it forever makes me smile.
View of the Glass Chapel, Carfin Grotto
Not only was my childhood in Carfin special, this small quaint village is also famous for its beautiful Grotto. Carfin Grotto, opened in 1922, is worldly known and is visited by tens of thousands year on year. As a child, I used to attend their late night candlelit processions, joining hundreds of parisheners and visitors in an open prayer ceremony for world peace, healing, health, unity and love.
The Grotto is situated just across the road from the primary school I attended, and often, me and my school pals would pop over to the Grotto during lunchtime and dare each other to enter the holy caves – unfortunately the huge fear in my imagination never got me down past the first step!
Inside of Cave
To this day, Carfin Grotto stands as beautiful and magical as it ever did and a recent visit with my mum and boyfriend most definitely proved that. I feel so priveleged to have experienced daily, such an extra special place in Carfin.
Holy Statue Carfin Grotto
I live in Central London these days and my next visit to Carfin will be for my mum’s 82nd birthday. If you ever get the opportunity to visit Carfin Village, please make sure you visit Carfin Grotto with its beautiful glass chapel, mystical caves and miraculous holy statues and shrines.
Carfin Grotto
No matter where I roam, I am proud to say I am a born and bred Carfin lass – I think it was written in the stars!
Remember….you hold your dream for a reason, don’t let it go….use it to empower you to reach great heights and ALWAYS help others along the way!
Giving is an ultimate part of living. We all grow in different ways but a better way to flourish is my giving yourself to others in a purposeful and meaningful way.
Give a little of your time, love, service and knowledge and you will surely blossom like a beautiful flower under the brightest sun.
Giving is living and growing is showing that everyday.
You are such a powerful individual and if you truly believed that, I know you would be living the life of your dreams right now.
I want you to believe in your self power, really feel it living and breathing inside of your body. Let this special power release its good energy into the world.
You, yes you, you are amazingly powerful and significant in every way and I want you to take hold of your self power today and move in the direction of your dreams.
Don’t hold back this time, just truly go for it and everyday this goodness will come back to you ten fold.
I think you’re ready for this, actually, I know you’re ready for this, so get your day off to a great start and release your power into the world.
Can you feel your power? I feel your strength and nothing beats it.
Challenges are a blessing, they make us stronger from within, although at the time it doesn’t really feel that way.
Courage will always find you. Please have faith and know in your heart of hearts that setbacks make us dig deeper and a new opportunity awaits for you.
May you create the right opportunity for you in your life today.
Couragous words coming your way in the following poem by Clarabelle.
I hope you’re having a truly wonderful day – I really do.
I was reflecting today (28 October 2022) on how much I love writing poetry, so much so, that I decided to change this whole Clarabelle blog into one GIGANTIC POETIC VISION.
So you will see that some things have changed around here and my main aim will be to continue to write poetry daily and share it with you. Going back to my roots and keeping it simple.
I will still add in some empowerment food for thought along the way but my strong focus now, going forward is, quite simply, to write poems and share them with you.
So there you have it. Poetry all the way.
The Clarabelle Podcast will now become the Clarabelle Poetry Podcast and I will share my spoken word poetry with you.
The motivational and encouraging posts will now be entwined in some sort of poetic format.
The videos I create, will all be poetic.
The Clarabelle products on sale currently all contain poetic verses and I will continue with this.
Basically, I will have a POETIC EMPIRE evolving before your eyes.
So that’s it for today. I am currently in Bonny Scotland visiting my lovely Mum who is celebrating her 80th birthday but I will continue to write on here daily whilst away.
Yes, you did read that right….. and what a really stupid thing for me to do!
2008
The year was 2008 and I was training for my first marathon. I was about 8 months into my training (out of 11 months in total) and was on a significant 16 mile run. Up until then, everything was going perfectly in my training and this particular Sunday morning run, started off really well.
I got to about 12 miles in, and soon, a little knee niggle became a huge big, pain in the butt – so much so, that I had to stop running at the 13 mile mark.
To say I was furious, was an understatement – I was so ANGRY and FRUSTRATED, that I started to agressively kick the brick wall next to me. I kicked that wall so hard that I nearly did myself some serious damage, but thankfully, I realised how stupid I was being and eventually stopped.
This ‘kicking the brick wall’ incident was very ‘out of character’ for me, and as I reflect on it today, I feel very bewildered by that ‘manic behaviour’ – it really made no sense at all!
LIFE
The ups and downs of Life WILL put our true emotions to the test and it’s our job to have internal control over how we respond to these emotions. Anger, frustration, aggression and crazy behaviour, NEVER EVER works…. period!
I recently watched a video interview of a former Royal Marine, who shared one piece of learning that was so POWERFUL. In this interview, he said, “if you’re angry, you’re wrong” – WOW . . . . . just think about that for a minute.
RERUN
So let’s take the aforementioned running incident and deal with it all over again, today, as it was back then. What would I do? Well, as soon as I felt the little niggle at the 12th mile – I’d stop, flag a taxi, rest the overworked knee and celebrate my progress to date, with my favourite bar of chocolate!
*IMPORTANT NOTE – no bricks walls were harmed in this 2008 incident, only a bruised EGO that needed to learn a hard lesson!

Are you feeling a little unfulfilled in your work life? That can be very normal and can also be changed, albeit, where applicable.
Focus on what you can control in your workplace and also on what you can control, outside of work. This is one great way of accepting responsibility for taking positive action and not wasting your time and energy on things you just cannot control.
Think about purposeful and meaningful ways you can contribute to your work environment and/or job tasks. This will definitely make you feel a lot better and your work will most definitely benefit too.
In situations, where your work has closed the door on being a more fulfilling workplace for you – then think about what you can contribute to outside of work that offers you a more enriching life experience.
Please don’t go blaming your boss for work tasks that you initially signed up for and that now don’t ‘rock your boat’. Take responsibility for your own choices and decisions in life – this is a must!
Work your best with what you’ve got and gradually make small but impactful changes to enhance your life.
There are many options for you to explore here and it’s important you take the time to think about all the pros and cons of going one way or the other.
Bit by bit, if you really put the effort in, you will change things for the better. Dedicate time today to plan your future needs and wants – then jump to it!
It’s Your Life – GO GET IT!

When I lived and worked in Dubai a few years ago, I used to go for 5am runs towards the stunning Dubai sunrise.
The morning sunrise in Dubai was as picture perfect as you could get it and it really did make a positive difference to the rest of my day.
A Good Solution
The lovely air conditioned gym in my apartment block, didn’t open until 6.30am and that was too late for me – so an early morning run, before the heat became unbearable, was a good solution for me.
Wonderful Opportunity
I also had the wonderful opportunity, whilst staying in Palm Jumeirah, to go for morning swims before work. I remember during those blissful swims, feeling so wholeheartedly grateful for manifesting those dreamlike moments into my life.
Lots of things didn’t work out for me in Dubai or I would have stayed there for so much longer but I NEVER EVER think of that. I put my focus on what did work out and the truly wonderful people I crossed paths with and learned so much from.
Embrace Every Opportunity
Don’t expect things to be perfect in life, when you try something new or go to a new environment to live or work in but DO EXPECT to embrace every opportunity that comes your way, for that indeed makes up the true essence of you.
Never think, “What if it doesn’t work out?” ALWAYS think, “WHAT IF IT DOES WORK OUT?”
A doubtful mind is a horrible burden to carry. An empowering mind, on the other hand, will carry you there. NOTE THE DIFFERENCE!
Your dreams are for the taking and now is your time!

If you ever, EVER hear yourself blaming others for something that is NOT going right in your life, I want you to STOP that useless thinking RIGHT NOW!
You are where you are, because of YOU. Hold yourself accountable for your own decisions, choices and wants that took you to where you are standing today.
If you are NOT happy with where you’re at, don’t go blaming anyone else for that. Take control of the situation NOW and do what you need to do to CHANGE that.
The past is the PAST, the present goes so fast, it is basically the past – so focus on your future wants and needs and bring your “A” game to the table in order to achieve your desires.
Don’t ever play the “blame” game – I promise you, it’s pulling you backwards and that’s not a progressive direction to be heading in.
Forge forward with all your might and self-power and let go of that draining blaming stuff today.
Go on then – oh and don’t blame me if you don’t do it!
I see you flying high…..always and I want you to see it too!
I can honestly say, I haven’t had the Monday Morning Blues for a good few years now and I never want to have them in the future either.
I remember, in my much younger days, getting these feelings, which often started on the Sunday evening!
I know, most of you can relate to those feelings of ‘dread’ going into a job that, for your own reasons, didn’t feel right.
I made a promise to myself a few years back that if I ever got so low again going into a job, I would sort that stuff out super fast.
Thankfully, I know what I want from a job and how I can utilise my skills and experience to contribute effectively. I also know how I want to be led and empowered to bring my best game to the table on a daily basis.
You have the true capacity and pure potential to achieve everything you want from your work and you are in control of whether you make it or break it.
I believe you deserve to experience the best of opportunities out there, so make sure you bring your ‘A’ game every single time.
There is this great quote by Rumi, “what you seek, is seeking you”, and for me, this quote is a wonderful reminder to never doubt your capabilities and be mindful of the many doors that are open for you – just walk right in.
This is one of my favourite original quotes and the excerpt is taking from a short poetic story I wrote many years ago. My plan is to turn the story into a book one day….watch this space!
“The midnight sky is vast and black, yet stars appear and light comes back.”
1.
If God lets me
I'll always lead the way
If God lets me
I'll kneel down with him and pray
If God lets me
I'll do him very proud
If God lets me
I'll help all lost in the crowd
2.
If God lets me
I'll shine like the morning sun
If God lets me
I'll do what he needs done
If God lets me
I'll be a beacon of pure strength
If God lets me
I'll go to any given length
3.
If God lets me
I'll show him my full power
If God lets me
I'll respect his every hour
If God lets me
I'll take the best right turn
If God lets me
I'll let all worry burn
4.
If God lets me
I'll give him my all
If God lets me
I'll knock down each brick wall
If God lets me
I'll be happy in present time
If God lets me
I'll forever be more than fine
5.
If God lets me
I'll forgive and forget
If God lets me
I'll get out of all bad debt
If God lets me
I'll love him like no other
If God lets me
I'll make peace with every brother
6.
If God lets me
I'll hold my head up high
If God lets me
I'll be truthful and not lie
If God lets me
I'll always sing his song
If God lets me
I'll make right every wrong
7.
If God lets me
I'll live life to the full
If God lets me
I'll obey his every rule
If God lets me
I'll share the good I know
If God lets me
I'll give all hope a go
8.
If God lets me
I'll believe in my self-worth
If God lets me
Every wave of life I'll surf
If God lets me
I'll be positive and bright
If God lets me
I'll sleep peacefully each night
9.
If God lets me
I"ll take my second chance
If God lets me
I'll celebrate and dance
If God lets me
I'll show him I am real
If God lets me
I trust he'll make the deal

When the wild wind blows,
and you're down on your knees,
begging for mercy,
praying for please.
Lift your head high,
stand up tall,
break down those barriers,
give life your all.
Many would hope,
for your inner strength,
running on empty,
but going every length.
Your champion heart,
can carry you forever,
up the highest mountain,
across each raging river.
See yourself winning,
battling each storm,
building the new,
challenging the norm.
