Friendship is the Gift

I have been reflecting today on the wonderful close friends I have in my life, some of them I have known for over 30 years of my life and others for about one year. Regardless of the length of time I have known them, each and everyone of them is very special to me, their support is second to none and just talking to them instantly uplifts my spirits to another dimension.  This poem is dedicated to my dearest friends, Donna, Sharon, Richard, Debbie and Dagmar, I shall champion you forever, thank you for all that you give me and much more. May I encourage you to let your friends know how truly special they are to you.

Friendship has true meaning, a simple gifted treasure,

When you’re feeling a little stuck, or need a partner for your leisure.

A real friend will be there, always just for you,

Holding your hand, to help you see tough times through.

An empathetic listening ear, gentle hug or warm smile,

A forever empowering note, that goes the extra mile.

Friendship is so sweet, like sugar in your tea,

Friends separate from the ‘I’ and turn it into ‘We’.

Friendship is the gift, of endearment and inner strength,

To support you indeed, friends will go to arms length.

Today I reflect on my friends, who are so very dear,

Like beautiful guardian angels, they bring me good cheer.

So wherever your dreams take you, please remember to tell,

Your friends that they are magical, like an enchanting wishing well.

Happy are their hearts, that shine upon you,

The closest of connections, without needing any glue.

Now we share the laughter, and hopes for all time,

I have friends in a million, I’d give them my last dime.

So often we forget ,the joy they bring each day,

Thank you my closest friends, in my heart for you I pray.

Happiness, Happiness

Today (2nd August 2012) I finished reading the book, “The Ultimate Happiness Prescription” by Deepak Chopra, in which it gives you 7 keys to joy and enlightenment.  I found this book to be extremely fascinating and truly ‘mind-expanding’ on a much deeper and more personal level.  I just love this quote from the book, “If you focus on the present, your life will be constantly renewed”, this for me is such a refreshing thought.  This next poem is inspired by happiness.  May your day be filled with an abundance of happiness.  Love Clarabelle

Happiness, Happiness

Happiness, happiness, where are you?

It’s a gift of the present, the awareness of what you do

The path to enlightenment, is right at your feet

You stand in its doorway, and breathe its heartbeat

See the world in yourself, you create what is here

Not in the past or future, happiness now is so clear

Make it your goal, to give each moment a smile

Your spirit comes alive, when you are still for a while

True Beauty is Life

The creative spirit uplifts the imagination to another dimension and produces art that moves the soul.  In this moment, I am listening to inspirational music and I am in ‘flow’, taking action and embracing the true beauty of life, this next poem is for you.

The falling star, shoots from the sky

Paradise captures, the reason why

It glistens and sparkles, for all to see

Magic in the air, oneness in me

It uplifts my mood and takes me there

Awakens my heart, soul stripped bare

Light as a feather, I dance and sing

The white dove has taken me, under its wing

True beauty is life, if we see it that way

Tomorrow is not here yet, let’s live for today

Manifesting Dreams

Manifesting Dreams

This next poem is inspired by enjoying each moment, embracing the now and manifesting the dreams that you desire. I wrote this poem whilst feeling in the ultimate moment of contentment, tranquility and happiness.  May you manifest each moment to your advantage on this creative journey of life.  Love Clarabelle

Manifesting Dreams

Manifesting Dreams

This moment is calm, a feeling of bliss,

No thoughts of the future, or pasts I have missed.

Just embracing the now, as I quietly think,

A connected soul, heart and spirit, intertwined in link.

This feels precious inside, so touching indeed,

Contentment and tranquility, has taken the lead.

By appreciating this life, and fueling the fire.

I’m manifesting dreams and all I desire.

Out of the Shade

I wrote this poem only yesterday (20.04.12), it is about a recent time in my life when I was unwell and felt trapped in the situation.  Thankfully the sun is shining on me now but I remember those stormy days where I had to use every ounce of my inner strength to keep me sane and battle on…..it is in these difficult times in life when the courageous soul emerges with open arms, you just have to believe it is there.

Through the darkest moments and darkest days – where is the light?

When my mind feels trapped and I cannot sleep, into the night

What a horrible feeling, when times are tough

The way out is lonely, the weather is rough

My soul is a prisoner, to all I have thought

My heart it feels dead but it cannot be bought

My values are here – an inner guidance they bring

Like the first musical note, before I do sing

They keep me sane and hold me together

They carry me forward, like I’m light as a feather

As I trudge through the snow, I call out my name

Keep going, don’t stop, treat life as a game

The character within me, fights through the shell

I punch and I kick, until I feel well

In this battle, although the bruises give me pain

No blood has been shed and inner strength I did gain

And as time passes by, the emotional scars they do fade

I walk into the sunlight and out of the shade

Love All Things

L.I.F.E.’ = Love It Feel Excited!!  This is my motto, it used to be ‘Live It Feel Excited’ but now I feel changing the word ‘live’ to ‘love’ is much more fitting.  This next poem is inspired by just that, wishing you an exciting day, love Clarabelle.

love all things

Love All Things

I’m excited about life, and all that could be,

Opportunities are abundant, look and see.

A hop and a skip, will help me think,

Free up the body, as quick as a blink.

I sing to the music, my heart plays a tune,

I’m dancing and laughing, under the moon.

***

This world is so beautiful, treasure it all,

Love flows like a river, towards the waterfall.

Time may go fast, so treat it like snow,

It can melt in the moment, like a heart with a glow.

Your body will tell you, if it doesn’t like its fuel,

Look after it well, is the number one rule.

It’s nature’s way, to help us grow,

Love all things, and the love in you will flow.

Dancing in Your Shoes

I have been working very very hard lately and not had much of a break, so now I think it is time to let my hair down a little and have some fun.  After all, it can’t always be work, work, work, even though I do love what I do, it really is nice to have a break and dance to the sound of the music.  This next poem is all about that – go on have some fun!!

Sometimes you have, to let fun in

Life without it, can be a little bit dim

Feel the excitement, enjoy it for a while

Let you hair down and your face it will smile

Jump to the music, just let go

Treasure the moment, let fun flow

My head’s in a spin, this feels so good

Embrace the happiness, within your mood

Now is the time, to banish all blues

Have a wonderful day, dancing in your shoes

After the Storm

We have all been through very tough times in life and I also have had my fair share.  In the midst of these struggles it can be very suffocating at times but it is at these stressful moments in our life, when even though we don’t see it, our broken wings are being supported and helped by others, until we are ready to fly again.  It can take time to fully heal, but during this time there are many blessings and many lessons and you will always come out stronger in the end and you will fly even higher than your imagination can take you.  This next poem is inspired by just that and maybe just maybe this poem is meant for YOU to read today.  Stay strong and believe this temporary situation will soon be over, love Clarabelle.

After the storm

After the Storm

After the storm, I was shipwrecked at sea,

But paradise appeared, and I saved me.

You’re never alone, at the toughest of times,

Many hearts surround you, releasing magical chimes.

This angelic sound, is not heard through your ears,

It’s a waterfall of love, expressed in your tears.

Close your eyes now, breathe in the light,

A blank canvas of thought, will help you sleep better tonight.

Nourishing Your Heart

Life Changing Decisions

I’m about to make some life changing decisions in the very near future, decisions that I feel will positively shape my life forever, new endings will meet with new beginnings and a new chapter of my life will become alive.  So how do I know if I am making the right decision?  I can honestly say that I am a values-driven person and I will use by values as my inner guidance to ultimately support the right choice for me.  After all, how else can I ensure I be deeply authentic to myself if I don’t honour my values.  It’s all about nourishing your heart and that’s what inspired this next poem for you.

Nourishing Your Heart

Values are your inner guidance, that’s what I believe

Honouring your values, will help you to achieve

They live inside of you, keep your soul on track

Holding you together, never looking back

They hold the golden key, to a life that’s true for you

Filling up your senses, in what you choose to do

Decisions in each moment, to always meet your needs

Nourishing your heart, planting little seeds

I am values driven, the steering wheel is mine

Living life on purpose, it feels so mighty fine.

DreamD.R.E.A.M.

Drift into your dreams, feel happy inside,

Realise your potential, fill your heart with pride.

Energise your soul, let it take your breath away,

Aim as high as you can, connect with the synergy.

Make your dreams come true, forever inspiring….forever YOU.

This Love For You

Sometimes our hidden love for another is so deep, it silently creeps to the surface and rocks our world forever.  To ignore this calling would surely haunt the heart for an eternity. Love is often mistaken as a feeling but love is a doing word, to receive love you have to give love..so go on ‘Just Do Love’ and fill your life with the richness it truly deserves.  This next poem is all about being brave and opening the door to love.

This love for you, torments my core

I hear it’s knock, upon my door

Do I answer, say hello?

Or keep it hidden, deep below

It hurts sometimes, the emotions are strong

Is this the place, where I belong?

It stops and starts, but the engine has fuel

Do I give out my heart and let love rule?

To be honest, this feels dangerous for me

The fear is greater than to let this love be

But to not let love in, would feel heavy on my heart

Seeing you walk off, feeling sad as you depart

So I’ll be brave, let courage win

I’ll share with you my soul and let love in

The Soul is Talking

Each day I wake up with a brand new mission, I ask myself these questions, “What is my mission today?”, “How can I serve greatly?” and “How will I stay connected to my purpose?” – for some people, these are not easy questions to answer, for me, I have searched deep within my soul and have been moved by the voices in my heart. This is why I write this blog for you, by creating lyrical art I answer all three questions at once.  My soul it talking and it’s talking to you.  The next poem is inspired by just that.

The branch of the tree, edges out in time

The voices are loud and sing in rhyme

A soft breeze is blowing, I stand alone

A picture perfect, as I dream of home

Today the mission, is to commit to myself

The importance of happiness and my inner health

To serve greatly, give out my heart

Share unspoken words, through my vision and art

Imagination seeks, fuel to ponder

Creative spirit, such a special wonder

The page that was blank, now is full

The soul is talking, scribbles do rule

Stay connected to your purpose and so much will come

Opportunity is now, grasp it and run

Bubblegum Ambitions

I was listening to a YouTube video by Wayne Dyer the other day and it inspired me to write this next poem, ‘Bubblegum Ambitions’.  This poem is about living outside of your ego and being proud of who you really are, because you are the greatest you. Have an inspired day.  Lots of love Clarabelle

you are who you are

Bubblegum Ambitions

You are not what you have, or even what you do,

You are what you are, be grateful for you.

To compare your life, to another one,

To agressively compete, under the sun.

Will take your ego, into the sky,

Bubblegum ambitions, no tears you will cry.

***

But then one day, there will come a time,

You want to change, from what’s mine is mine.

You crumble to the floor, and what once was real,

Is starting to flake, and numbness you feel.

There is always a way, to shine at night,

Glowing and flowing, it’s a natural flight.

***

Silent is the heart, it speaks to you here,

Vibrations of energy, simmer the fear.

Truth is where it’s at, go to the ocean,

The waves clear your thoughts, love is in motion.

Now you are hollow, now you are free,

Knowing what you live for, let your life be.

Language of the Heart

I had a meeting today with a very good friend and colleague of mine, a truly wonderful gentleman who is very kind, caring, a giver of his time, with a head full of knowledge and a heart full of wisdom, he is a very special human being…thank you ‘J’.  We got into a discussion about my poetry blog and ‘J’ very kindly said that I speak the ‘language of the heart’ through my creative writings.  I loved that phrase and instantly thought, “I’m going to write a poem about that”, and so here it is, with sincere dedication to ‘JM’, thank you for everything.

language of the heart

Language of the Heart

Let the dust settle, before you start,

A journey of hope, language of the heart.

Strapped in tight, on this roller coaster ride,

To-ing and fro-ing, no place to hide.

Some share their secrets, others choose not,

A silent cry for help, raises true thought.

***

Yet far in the distance, beyond empty dreams,

Appears an angel and true love redeems.

All that is, all that was,

Take a deep breath, put life in pause.

A temporary moment, that challenges your smile,

Will soon fade away, then you’ll smile for a while.

Blue skies will appear, the sun will shine,

Because your spirit is glowing, you are divine.

Where are you inspiration?

reflections

Where are you inspiration?

I searched and searched you know, looking for that one piece of inspiration, that one trigger, that sentiment of hope that would help me to turn my life around.  I searched long and hard, night and day……..I struggled to find it.  Where are you inspiration, when I need you the most, where are you to help me get back up again?  And the search continued…… click here to read on https://poemsbyclarabelle.wordpress.com/reflections/

My Brooklyn Bridge King

When I see stunning photographs or paintings of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, it takes my imagination to different heights.  A feeling of magic, mystique, romance, energy, vibrancy, connection and love all rolled into one, comes over me.  I will soon be back there, living the dream and embracing the most perfect moment…..I see it, I feel it, I believe it.  Today, let your imagination soar into the clouds and see yourself in that place you want to be.  Have a beautiful day, love Clarabelle.

Brooklyn Bridge, New York

My Brooklyn Bridge King

Oh Brooklyn Bridge, how I love thee,

So strong and robust, above the sea.

You light up my soul, in the darkest night,

Like a powerful beacon, a shining knight.

You stretch my imagination, and unite lonely hearts,

A gentle giant and protector, in all of your parts.

Carry me over, let my spirit sing,

Dance with me forever, my Brooklyn Bridge King.

Stay Strong

My brother was made redundant from his job the other day and with my Human Resources background I have been offering him some very much needed support.  I know that he doesn’t feel like being positive about the situation right now, and I fully understand it, but I hope, through time, he will realise the opportunities that he can now create for himself.  I am now reminded of this quote, When one door closes another one opens; but we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.” (Alexander Graham Bell).  This next poem is inspired by this situation and I hope that it instills some hope and encouragement for you and anyone you know who is going through a similar experience.  Raise your thinking to a higher level and build up your courage and confidence to help you achieve what you want in life.  Lots of love Clarabelle

Stay Strong

Stay Strong

Life can be tough,

The weather maybe rough,

But stay strong,

Find the inner strength, to carry on.

You are loved, have faith, believe,

You are special, focus and achieve.

One door is closed, but many are ajar,

Maximise your potential, you’ll go really far.

The world is on your side,

So fill your heart with pride.

Move on up, inspire your mind,

Get ready for change, you’re one of a kind.

Let Life In

Having a positive attitude will always shine through, enjoying each new day will provide you with the inner fuel to keep your passion alive.  Break out, set your mind free, let your heart smile and share the positivity.  This next poem is for you, have a truly wonderful day.

Celebrate each brand new day

Let life in and lead the way

Embrace the moment, take a chance

Go for it, smile and dance

For happy are the enthusiastic ones

Their passion shines through, hearts beating like drums

Listen to the sound, it’s made from you

The orchestra plays, to whatever you do

Sing out loud, take the challenge on

Live in the moment, before it’s gone

Sister Dear Sister

Often we go through life and we forget how influential our closest family members have been in our life.  This poem is a heartfelt sentiment to my wonderful and beautiful younger sister, who through the highs and lows of my life has always been there for me.  Thank you Leanne, you are so very special to me, more than you’ll ever know.

When we were young sis, we always used to fight

Early in the morning and mostly every night

I didn’t really appreciate back then, the special person in you

I now recognise that failing, so evident and true

But as we got older, I changed my poor sisterly ways

You became a best friend and we went on holidays

I love you my dear sister, you are so special to me

More than you’ll ever know, more than I let you see

I always feel so happy, when you are around

You cheer up the room, lots of laughter is your sound

And always when I need you, to my door you come a knocking

There with open arms and then we do some talking

You laugh at your own jokes and I find that very funny

Your spirit is so alive and your attitude is always sunny

Sister dear sister, you’ve made my life so great

I couldn’t ask for a better sister, 10 out of 10 you rate

Shine Like A Star

I was inspired to write the following poem because sometimes in life, we just need to take a break and recharge the batteries.  At times we can push the boundaries to the edge of the mountain because we are so passionate and on purpose, however, be careful not to overstep the mark.  We have to look after ourselves so we can give our best and achieve ultimate peace of mind.  Be aware of the signals that are coming through, the mind, body and spirit will let you know if it is out of balance – see this signal as part of the solution to make positive changes that will uplift your being and enhance your soul.  The power is in your hands.

Take good care of the person that’s you

You’ll then shine like a star, in whatever you do

Rest when you need it, just take a break

Recharge the batteries, before you awake

Life can be exciting, but over-stretching too

Your passion will not fade, it lives in you

Create the space, the mind deserves

Relax the body, to build up reserves

Take a deep breath, detox the soul

Your frequency will change and your heart will stay whole

Where Is My Life Going?

I have been doing a lot of de-cluttering lately, and yesterday whilst clearing out my bedroom cupboards, I came across some poetry and songs that I had written many years ago.  I will share these poems/songs with you on this blog.  The poem below was written in 1996, at a time in my life when I was very unhappy in my job.  I remember, I used to take ‘time-out’ during my job tasks and drift off to another world, I would secretly write poems and songs about my life and what could be.  I distinctively remember how unhappy I was at that time, being in an unfulfilled job, but I am delighted to still see my positivity shining through in my poetry.  I guess even back then, I always believed in myself and that the current situation at that time in my life was only temporary and that I could do something to change that….and I did!!  I think by asking myself, at the time, the question “Where is my life going”, helped me to search for the answers from within.  Listen to the sound of your heart, your calling is calling you.  Love Clarabelle

Where is my life going?

Where is my life going? I ask myself,

Am I on a path full of fortune, with everlasting health?

I don’t really think so, as I trek up this hill,

For at this moment now, my fortune is nil.

But no, it is wrong, to think that sheer money,

Can change this life, from cloudy to sunny.

If I keep travelling, on this path forever,

Would it be clever?

Who could tell me, if it were wrong?

As me and my shadow, go walking along.

And when I arrive, at the crossroads ahead,

Should I go left, or maybe right instead?

I have decided, that no one but me,

Can choose my direction, in life to see.

The path may be long, and winding one day,

But on another, my feet shall dance the way.

Personal Evolution

I have been listening to the audio book ‘The 28 Laws of Attraction’ by Thomas J. Leonard and there are some golden nuggets of wisdom within this, which have enhanced my own learning and development.  I particularly love what he feels is the next stage of personal development and that is ‘personal evolution’…..this next poem is inspired by just that.  May your day be filled with golden nuggets of wisdom that inspire you to do great things.  Lots of love Clarabelle

Personal Evolution

On this path you grow, with all your might

At the crossroads you may stand, which way is right?

From the depths of your heart, you will evolve

Expanding your intelligence, problems you do solve

Your ability is innate, a gift from above

Personal evolution is your next stage, discover it with love.

Beautiful Hearts

I was an observer of a conversation today, where the words ‘beautiful hearts’ were shared and I instantly smiled.  Just two simple words that carry such an endless depth of meaning and purpose, so much so, that it inspired this next poem.  All my love to you beautiful hearts out there.  Clarabelle

Beautiful Hearts

Be beautiful today, with all your heart

To cherish each moment, is the best part

Rekindle love, spread it with a smile

Step by step, on the happiness mile

Feel it from within, let it inspire your thinking

Beautiful hearts on fire, will stop the mind sinking

A connection of the spirit, the wonder of the soul

Passionately magical, forever whole

My Dancing Mind

Nourish your brain, learn more about what interests you, it’s amazing what you can find out.  Another book I have recently finished reading is entitled, ‘Your Brain at Work’, by Dr David Rock. I have a very keen interest in learning more about neuroscience and neuroleadership so this book was a perfect match for that.  Some of the learning from this book is captured in my poem below.  Wishing you a dopamine filled day!! (Dopamine is a chemical released in the brain when we are connected to feeling interested in something and it is important for learning),

My Dancing Mind

I’ve just read a book,about the brain

I found it fascinating, great learning I did gain

It has helped me to understand, my dancing mind

Billions of connections, make you one of a kind

To increase focus, and gather insights

Use mindfulness in the moment, it will turn on the lights

Embrace the SCARF model, focus on toward

Move away from the threats and you’ll get the reward

Happiness, Happiness

Today I finished reading the book, “The Ultimate Happiness Prescription” by Deepak Chopra, in which it gives you 7 keys to joy and enlightenment.

To Rekindle A Heart

Meaningful relationships hold a special place in your heart, sometimes they last forever, sometimes we allow the pressures of life to stretch the bond so far that it breaks. I believe however, that the invisible connection that first brought these human souls together will never die.  Where there is real love, there is a way, often a different way. What happens next may take you on a spectacular journey of hope, mystery and magical bliss – dare you risk it?. . . . maybe yes or maybe no – this potentially rekindled love is indeed your life choice.  I dedicate this next poem to the joining of two hearts that are just meant to be together.  And even if none of this makes sense to you, the heartfelt message I am conveying is:  May serendipity prevail.  Lots of love Clarabelle.

 To Rekindle A Heart

Just, when I see you there

I take a step, I feel your stare

My soul is taken, to another place

My eyes fill up, as I see your face

For love was present, there one time

We laughed, we danced, we joked in rhyme

An unbreakable bond, we once had

I’m glad ‘we’ happened, I am not sad

These emotions are like clouds, they drift away

But then the lightning strikes, are they here to stay?

To rekindle a heart, to fuel the fire

Is a mixture of sensations, a dream desire

Where hope did live, I knocked on the door

Confusion set in, as I reached out for more

Then you let go, the butterfly did flutter

Stages of healing, rose me up from the gutter

This deep lesson now lives, inside of me

Its wisdom now shared, welcome serendipity

Smile in the moment, sing in the sun

Play in the puddles, for true love is fun

Treasure the knowing and heartfelt forgiving

Choose to be happy, life is for living

Superhero

I was inspired to write the following poem after spending some time with a new friend in my life, his spirit was very refreshing and his soul was very honest and true.  I sensed he was coming from a good place and it was that real connection with him that led me to write ‘Superhero’.

Superhero

Here comes the superhero into the night

Flying around, so wonderful and bright

There is magic in his eyes, I see he is brave

A courageous manner, towards all he will save

His strength is not obvious, it comes from within

A growing heart, that’s looking for its twin

Softly spoken, comes out these wise words

Turning my mind, like humming birds

Shall I ask him the question, that I want to know

How he picks up my spirits, when I’m feeling low

There is a connection, that the eyes cannot see

Although…

Your Legacy Lives On

I was really saddened to hear about the passing away of Mr Stephen R. Covey yesterday, this gentleman and his wonderful words of wisdom will live in my heart forever. He is the author of one of my most favourite books, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and I have often used the knowledge and teachings from this book in my work and every day life.  If you haven’t read this book, I would totally recommend it to you.  In my opinion Mr Covey was indeed an inspirational human being and his legacy lives on.  This next poem is dedicated to him, thank you for being such a positive influence in my life.

Your Legacy Lives On

Dear Mr Covey, your words are very wise

Your book, The 7 Habits, helped me to see through different eyes

Your teachings are so inspiring, and made a lot of sense to me

You enhanced my ‘circle of influence’, a new perception I now see

To ‘start with the end in mind’, is so very true

You gave me visions of hope, and now this is what I do

Your legacy lives on, guiding my soul

Without your wonderful knowledge, I would never feel so whole

Thank you Stephen R. Covey, I’ll remember to ‘sharpen my saw’

Each principle that you lived by, is now my living law

It Made My Heart Smile

I received a lovely supportive email the other day from my good friend and business partner Debbie Hollingsworth.  Debbie was offering me her enthusiasm and encouragement regarding the Charity Walk that my mum and I did on Sunday  – that email really made my day.  Debbie ended the email with ‘It made my heart smile’, I loved that phrase and I told her I was going to write a poem about it.  This next poem is dedicated to Debbie, thank you for your inspiration and wonderful friendship.

It Made My Heart Smile

What makes your heart smile?

What makes you go the extra mile?

What is the passion, that burns deep in you?

What gives you hope, to see it through?

Lots of questions, to make your mind tick

Choices and decisions, so important to pick

To make a difference, love starts inside

Showing you care, fills me with pride

It made my heart smile, breathing life into me

Your spirit is alive and gave me energy.

Life Energy

I went to visit one of my clients yesterday and he had this book on his desk called ‘Your Body Doesn’t Lie’ by John Diamond, M.D.  I asked him about the book and he kindly gave it to me to read – I have just finished the book this evening and I want to share with you a little of what it says about the positive effects of reading poetry in relation to your inner wellbeing.  One of the techniques it shares for increasing your Life Energy is to recite a verse or two of poetry or look at a landscape painting. So all you poets, poetry fans, artists and photographers out there have another wonderful reason to create and share your amazing talents with the world.  This next poem is for you, I hope it increases your Life Energy by reading it.

Life Energy

Having life energy, makes you smile

It uplifts your spirit, for more than a while

By reciting poetry, you go from low to high

Or looking at landscapes, beneath the bluest sky

So all you poets, and photographers too

Keep on creating, because your fans love you

You benefit them, in every way

By raising their Life Energy, so they can play

The Sands of Time

I am introducing the poem I created today on video, I thought it would be a nice idea to connect with you in this more personal way. So, I will let the video do the talking and hope you enjoy this next poem inspired by the writings on my vision wall.  Lots of love Clarabelle.

The Sands of Time

The sands of time, go drifting by

I’m moving on, no questions why

All I know and want is here

Inspiring senses, dropping the fear

My time is now, I trust in me

Living well, being the best I can be

A world of learning, is there for the taking

What makes you tick?  What is self-motivating?

The spirit is connected, new ideas come to light

The fire burns deep inside, glowing through the night

It’s your choice in life, to change at the roots

Nurture the seeds, to create positive shoots

Such a Beautiful Day

No matter what age you are it is never too late to start something new, to make a positive change in your life or give up a bad habit. My mum is 70 years of age this year and she did her first sponsored charity walk with me at the weekend.  It is amazing how one decision in the right direction can kick start a self-motivating process.  At the end of the walk my mum was talking about stopping smoking, she has been smoking for 50 years of her life, I think her taking part in the walk made her think differently about her own health and wellbeing and swapping bad habits for good habits.  The conversation we had was so uplifting, I am so proud of my mum for saying ‘yes’ to doing the walk, I hope I have her upbeat attitude to life when I reach her age, and also her amazing energy!! This next poem is dedicated to my mum, well done and thanks for joining me on the walk to support MacMillan Cancer.

Me and My Mum, 1 July 2012

Such a Beautiful Day

Well done mum, you covered every mile

You laughed along the way and offered out your smile

Such a beautiful day, to support ones in need

Step by step we followed suit, as the piper took the lead

What a wonderful achievement, to give a little back

A positive deed for all involved, our lives are back on track

Flying Without Wings

One of my favourite inspirational quotes is “You must be the change you wish to see in the world” by Gandhi.  I believe when YOU change, the world around you changes, you attract different circumstances, situations, people and things into your life that you would not have before.  As I continue on my own quest to be the best me EVER, I shall begin to share with you stories of real experiences in alignment with that thinking.  What one positive change could you make today that would make a positive difference in your life?     Wishing you a wonderful day full of choices and decisions that lead you to life fulfilment.  Lots of love as always Clarabelle.

Flying Without Wings

Life is good you know, my spirit is alive

Being just myself, like a bumble bee in its hive

Focus is so strong and grows deeper day by day

The world around me is changing, I’m living well this way

Creative imaginations, are like flowers in the spring

Their beauty is forever abundant, I’m flying without wings

Just You Wait and See

I had a wonderful meeting yesterday with friends (thank you Dagmar & Agnes) and we had some fascinating discussions on the subject of personal development.  One of the topics was around the difference between positive thinking versus positive belief and it really was an enlightening moment for me.  I am all for positive thinking, however, having positive belief just takes it all to a much deeper level.  I am thankfully blessed with an amazing abundance of positive belief in myself and it is that belief that will help me to turn my dreams into reality – add in relentless focus and the determination to succeed, what a successful combination.  This next poem is inspired by just that, keep your creativity flowing because you are magical in every way.  Love Clarabelle

Just You Wait and See

Express yourself, through a poem or song

Let the boat sail out, to where you belong

The ocean is deep, so blue and vast

The magic is awaiting, life moves fast

To walk on water, seems a mystical dream

To change the world, is a possible theme

Positive thinking might keep you upbeat

But positive belief, gives no room for defeat

Be kind, be loving, be all you can be

It’s all within easy reach, just you wait and see

Know Your Strengths

I was having a chat with my friend Tom from Canada last year and he recommended to me this great book called Strengths Finder 2.0 by Tom Rath, New York Times Bestselling Author.  I found this book truly amazing because it helps you to identify your top 5 strengths and then provides you with a follow-up report on how to take action towards maximising these talents.  I often go through this with my clients when coaching them towards their goals.  My top 5 strengths are:  Futuristic, Maximiser, Positivity, Woo and Strategic and I can honestly say I get to utilise these strengths on this blog. If you are interested in finding out more then I would recommend you buy the book – and no I am definitely NOT on commission here, just thought it was a worthwhile book to share with you.  This next poem is all about maximising your potential – make you better today!!

Know Your Strengths

The genius is inside of you

Know your strengths, this is your cue

With passion and purpose, strive for the best

Experience life, put yourself to the test

Nourish the seeds, the mind is so strong

Maximise your potential, this is where you belong

Bring Down the Brick Wall

When you’re ready to let go in life, when you’re ready to let your guard down and be open, then and only then are you in a position to be true to yourself.  I am certainly not saying this is easy and for someone like me who is very independent I have often struggled in the past to show my vulnerable side, only because I used to think of it as a weakness.  There has been a shift in my thinking recently and now I personally feel that showing my vulnerable side is a strength, I accept me for being me and nothing else. Take a risk in life, show your vulnerable side and bring down the brick wall.  This next poem is a reminder of just that.

Bring Down the Brick Wall

Offer a helping hand today

Give out your love, in every way

Be kind and forgiving, gentle to all

You’ll see these actions, bring down the brick wall

To show that you, really care

When the bus is full, give up your chair

Help the old lady, across the street

Pay joy forward, to all that you meet

Give a warm hug, to the friend in need

It’s a wonderful feeling, when you do a good deed

This Time It’s Different

I was at the hospital with my mum today and whilst she was meeting with the Doctor, I sat in the waiting room with my notepad and pen, happily writing some poems.  I remembered some of the empowering words from my Vision Wall (see photo from it below) and created this next poem which was inspired by the phrase ‘This Time It’s Different’ and for me, it surely is.  What positive changes do you want to make in your life today? Go on, just do it!!  I hope you enjoy this next poem.

This Time It’s Different

To start afresh, believe in you

A chance to change, for all that’s true

To give you hope and faith in all

“This time it’s different”, I hear you call

The present is here, embrace all things

When the sun comes up and the morning bird sings

Awaken your spirits, make a positive start

Live your life on purpose, from the depths of your heart

Porridge, Porridge

It is so important to start your day with a healthy breakfast, full of nutrition.  That’s why I start most of my mornings with a delicious bowl of porridge and prunes – it gives my body the kickstart and energy it needs to go for my goals!!  What is your favourite healthy breakfast?  They say you are what you eat, although I’m not sure I want to look like porridge and prunes though.  🙂  Wishing you a wonderful day, a fabulous tomorrow and a lifetime full of healthy breakfasts – this next poem is all about that.  Lots of love Clarabelle

Porridge, Porridge

Porridge, porridge, simmering in the pot

Add in some prunes, such a nutritious lot

Start your day, with healthy food

To energise your body and make you feel good

Full of fibre and protein too

Your tummy will say yummy, ‘let’s have you’

Treat your body well, reach for the moon

Go on, have some porridge and add a delicious prune

Forever Inspiring

I put my car into the garage this morning to get some much needed repairs done and on the way back I popped into the local cafe for a coffee and a scone, before the 3 mile trek back home.  I always take my writing pad with me everywhere I go, because you never know when a creative moment will take over!!  In the space of 20 minutes I was on my third poem, I just couldn’t stop writing. . . . .which was truly wonderful for me, I love it when that happens.  This next poem is the third poem I wrote from my short time being in the coffee shop, I think it may resonate with all of you creative writers out there. Wishing you a magical day.  Lots of love Clarabelle

Forever Inspiring

Just one more poem and I’m on my way

The ‘creative flow’, wants to stay

I sip my coffee and write some more

One by one, words dance through the door

Handwriting gets faster, I’m lost in time

People come and go, I continue to rhyme

Focus is strong, it’s a powerful force

It comes from within, my heart is the source

I savour this moment, so special and true

Forever inspiring, this poem is for you

Breathe in Life

I live near a beautiful park and sometimes take it upon myself to just go for a walk and enjoy the beauty of the outside world.  It provides me with such a wonderful inner calmness, where I just enjoy being with me and my emotions.  I often allow myself to get swept away in a dreamy new world of vivid imagination and heartfelt moments.  I encourage you to go for a walk and embrace all of this and more.  Have a beautiful day, this next poem is for you.

Breathe in Life

To take a tranquil walk, in the park

Creates peace inside, for this journey I embark

To smell the flowers, of summer in bloom

Is a wonderous feeling, I’ll be there soon

As mother nature, raises her hat

It awakens my senses, as I think of that

Step by step, I’m lost in transition

Visions of hope and abundant ambition

Free your soul, to the wind and air

Breathe in life, put yourself first and care

I’m Alive Inside

I have decided this weekend to create my very own vision board.  I want to use the experience and joy of this creative process to inspire and motivate me towards all that I want to achieve. I intend to align my newly created vision board with a ‘plan of action’ to make the process more meaningful and in-depth.  I have never tried this before but have heard lots of positive things about it and how powerful the process can be, so I am very much looking forward to the experience.  I will certainly keep you posted on progress and developments and I will post a photograph of it on my ‘About’ page when it is complete. This next poem is about just that.

I’m Alive Inside

I create a vision board, to inspire me

Colourful pictures, of what will be

I think about, what I will do

To achieve these outcomes and make them true

The creative process, that I go through

Excites my being, I shout out ‘Woo Hoo’

To start with this vision, is all I need

To kickstart the action, my mind it does feed

The fuel of desire, makes me feel so good

I’m alive inside, imagination is my miracle food

The Main Attraction is YOU

I was in deep discussion with my good friend Tom yesterday, we always have some great conversations around personal development.  We were talking about the importance of ‘going to work on yourself’.  What do I mean by this?. . . . Well, it is all about becoming an attractive person to the market place, the value you can add.  Start seeing yourself as the ‘magnet’, making yourself better, stronger and taking action on that – not focusing too much on the outcome. . .  .that will come in the end.  By developing yourself in the best way you can, you attract people and things into your life by becoming attractive to them. Positively, move forward in your life, through your own growth and development. Do what it takes to make that happen, this next poem is inspired by just that.

The Main Attraction is YOU

Focus on the magnet, that’s you

Take positive action, towards all that you do

You want to become, an attraction for all

An abundance of energy – like a ‘bouncing ball’

Improve yourself, develop well

Step by step, the ‘doing’ will tell

Your story of life, will change throughout

Creating pages of hope, where magic is about

Remember this, the main attraction is YOU

Continuous growth, will lead you to all, that is true

The Purest Perfection

To show someone you care, to give out a warm smile or a well needed hug can make all the difference.  Think about who you could share that with right now, who needs your loving hand at this moment in time?  I am smiling right now and it is for you, I do hope you will pay it forward today.  Have a wonderful day touched with inspirational moments.

The Purest Perfection

As I hold your hand, it feels just right

Loving and carefree, heart burning bright

To show warmth for another, is comforting inside

Wholesome and truthful, beaming with pride

The soul is touched, in every way

Positive energy, flows through me today

Moment to moment, eyes they do glisten

Words are not needed, the spirit does listen

To share your kindness and gifts of affection

Is the ultimate prize and the purest perfection

Miracle to Life

My very good friend Dagmar, recommended a book to me, ‘Stairways to Heaven’ by Lorna Byrne.  I am finding it a fascinating read and indeed rather quite soul-searching. After finishing one of the chapters, I was inspired to write this next poem.  It is about overcoming adversity, having a reason inside you to live and embracing life with everything you’ve got.  It’s your life, go get it!!

Miracle to Life

As the angel holds my soul

The brightest diamond, comes out of coal

Sparkling like stars, glistening forever

Floating in the air, flowing like a river

The staircase is calling, I see the light

The sun would not change, this darkest night

But somewhere from within, the heart beats stronger

Vibrating positive energy, sadness no longer

The tears turn to laughter, the mind is brave

I climb over rocks and come out of my cave

Such a beautiful scene, golden birds in flight

The freshest breeze, body relaxed not tight

To have a reason to live and try again

Is your miracle to life, free from pain

‘Me’ Time in the Moment

Everybody deserves some special ‘me’ time and whatever that means for you, please ensure that you include it into your everyday priorities.  Just 10 minutes out of your busy lifestyle for yourself can work wonders.  ‘Me’ time, rejuvenates the spirit, warms the heart and calms the soul……I do hope you enjoy some ‘me’ time today.  This next poem is for you.

‘Me’ Time in the Moment

Just ten minutes away, to think and ponder

Will capture your soul, in a quiet wonder

This special time, is only for you

‘Me’ time in the moment, I hope you do

Create some space, to re-energise the mind

To master this art, is to discover and find

A beautiful you, admired from within

Peace perfect peace, ‘me’ time is a win

I Will Fly, I Will Fly

You are amazing, you can be, do and have anything you want.  Go on, put your mind to it, I mean, really REALLY put your mind to it and do what you need to do to make it happen.  This next poem is for you, I WILL FLY and I hope you will join me.  Have a courageous day where nothing stops you from moving forward towards your goals.

I Will Fly, I Will Fly

I rest my head to sleep

Silents thoughts I do keep

Visions of gold

Happiness I hold

Sparkles and bubbles

Mind free of troubles

I will fly, I will fly

It’s possible, that’s why

Changing ways

Fulfilling days

You are strong

Let faith belong

Dreams are for the taking

Go now, do the making
