Imagine what’s beyond your dreams, I mean once you have achieved them – visualise that right now.
Think yourself into that zone of dream achievement – isn’t it such a wonderful happy place?
I love this quote by Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, you can do it.” – it says it all to me really.
It’s great to dream, but even better to live out your dreams and it’s all up to you.
I have dreams, lots of wonderful dreams and I believe that they will come true for me one day. I don’t sit around waiting on them to happen – that will never work. I truly go to work on my dreams everyday.
So I ask you today, to think about the dreams you want to make happen and I encourage you to take tiny steps each day into achieving them.
Wishing you a sensational day, dreaming, doing and more importantly, LIVING.
I hope you’re having a truly wonderful day – I really do.
I was reflecting today (28 October 2022) on how much I love writing poetry, so much so, that I decided to change this whole Clarabelle blog into one GIGANTIC POETIC VISION.
So you will see that some things have changed around here and my main aim will be to continue to write poetry daily and share it with you. Going back to my roots and keeping it simple.
I will still add in some empowerment food for thought along the way but my strong focus now, going forward is, quite simply, to write poems and share them with you.
So there you have it. Poetry all the way.
The Clarabelle Podcast will now become the Clarabelle Poetry Podcast and I will share my spoken word poetry with you.
The motivational and encouraging posts will now be entwined in some sort of poetic format.
The videos I create, will all be poetic.
The Clarabelle products on sale currently all contain poetic verses and I will continue with this.
Basically, I will have a POETIC EMPIRE evolving before your eyes.
So that’s it for today. I am currently in Bonny Scotland visiting my lovely Mum who is celebrating her 80th birthday but I will continue to write on here daily whilst away.
I have been a massive fan of the popular cafe latte and chocolate topped cappuccino since I tried my first ‘proper’ barista coffee in 2005 and then, I was quite simply. . .”hooked”.
One of my favourite past times used to be going to my favourite coffee shop, having the perfect window seat and writing poems in my notepad – I really loved it! Such a simple thing to do and I could easily sit there for hours people watching, pondering, reflecting and writing away. It was soulful bliss to me.
I actually didn’t realise how much the caffeine was adding to my enjoyable experience and how my creative mind seemed to flood with rhyming words and magical rhythms as soon as the caffeine hit kicked in. I later discovered that although this caffeine intake was great in the short term moment, it wasn’t so great for my long term mindset, sleep and general mood.
For me the instant buzz of caffeine raised my output to another level and my creativity and performance, albeit for a short period, was off the charts. However, with the highest of highs came the lowest of lows and I soon realised my body needed more and more caffeine to achieve the same hit. Well, this started worrying me and in all fairness, I just didn’t like it.
The negative effects of caffeine on me were too much to tolerate to keep on taking it. I experienced mood swings, adrenal fatigue, anxiety, heart palpitations, trembling hands, acne and mild paranoia. Caffeine was making me slightly psychotic, so I had to give it up.
It took me 26 years of drinking coffee everyday to then realise how much it was negatively affecting me – that’s a lot of coffee and a lot of money to Mr Starbucks.
Since 2015 I’ve been on a rollercoaster ride with caffeine – sometimes I would stay off it for many months and then try it again to see if my body could handle the effects any better. Nope . . . . . if anything, it was just getting worse.
So fast forward to today, 30 September 2022 and I am caffeine free once more. This time I not only cut out caffeine coffees, tea and soda drinks, I also removed foods containing caffeine, such as chocolate – damn it – such a shame on that one, as I really do love chococate but I just can’t take the cocoa content.
What can I say – I genuinely feel I’ve found me again. The real me without the stimulants and I’m starting to really feel great again. My mood is now balanced, calm and focussed all of the time. My energy levels are increasing everyday and I am improving greatly with my running. My sleep is undisturbed and peaceful every night. My creativity is back to where it should be, without the need for that caffeine fix. If I want a coffee or tea it’s got to be decaf/herbal and I never drink soda anymore, sparkling water is my thing now.
I have never found the process of cutting out caffeine easy. As a matter of fact, when I do start the detox process, my mood is low and irritable for about two weeks and the caffeine withdrawal headaches are 48 hours of intense throbbing craziness.
Will I ever go back to caffeine again? Not on your life! Caffeine just messes with the very essence of me and I don’t want that messiness in my life anymore.
The last few months I have also massively reduced my refined sugar intake and I think that has also helped me to get back to me.
How does caffeine affect you? If you rely on your caffeine fix every day to ‘perk you up’ and ‘stay on it’, maybe you want to have a closer look at that?
Quitting caffeine was EXTREMELY hard for me. I once heard this quote: “If you do what’s easy everyday, your life will be hard, but if you do what’s hard everyday, your life will be easy.”
In the longterm I want an easy life, so today I will do what’s hard.

Is there actually one word that would encapsulate everything that you’re all about?
Look for your ‘one’ word – can you think of it?
Even under copious amounts of caffiene, I could not think of that ‘one’ word for myself. I don’t actually think that word exists – so maybe I have to create it!
You see, when I challenged you to think of that ‘one’ word, it immediately put limits on your thinking but our thinking needs to be limitless in order to engage and change worlds.
So let’s get a little creative here. I think my newly created ‘one’ word needs to be blended into something so magnificent, you’re never going to forget it.
A bit like the stupendous word “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from the famous Disney Movie, Mary Poppins.
There is so much POWER in our words and they can be used for the greatest good or to disempower, so please be very mindful of the words you say to yourself and to others.
I’ve got to say, one of my favourite words is “aspirational” – for some reason, that word seems to “breathe life into me”.
Another word I seem to love is “exponential”. I was first introduced to this word by Broadcaster & Global Keynote Speaker, Rene Carayol at the “The Time is Now” Leadership Conference, held in Glasgow City Centre in 2009.
“Imaginative” another wonderful word that seems to ignite my spirit.
Okay, I need more time to create ‘THEE’ one word but I think you get the moral of the story:
When you add rules, limits and boundaries to your creative thinking, you are boxing up the best of you.
Remember you are a GIFT, so special, that doesn’t need to be boxed up.
Next time you’re in a team meeting trying to come up with an innovative solution or new concept, allow your thinking to flow freely with no barriers in the way.

MY SWEET SWEET MEMORIES FROM THE LATE 70S & EARLY 80S
You could leave your house door open during the night;
You could go for an early sole run in the park with no fear;
You would chat outside to your next door neighbour for hours;
No one carried a mobile phone and everyone coped fine;
Children played in large groups outside after school;
Local playgrounds were filled with children, without the need for parents being there;
Children used their imagination and played ‘made up’ games with their friends;
You only had one true best friend but it was called a ‘best pal’;
We didn’t have a landline at home and no one really cared;
All family dinners were home made;
A holiday was going on family day trips to the closest seaside location;
There was only three TV channels and we felt spoiled for choice;
If you could afford a taxi, you were rich;
If you missed the bus, you had to wait another hour on the next one;
Those tiny bronze half pence pieces existed and you felt you had loads of money;
Children would jump for joy with a 10 pence mix up;
Children played water fights during the summer holidays with empty washing up liquid bottles;
Everyone in the community knew each other and looked out for each other;
Hardly anyone had a car;
Getting a 50 pence toy from the local shop, felt like Christmas;
The milkman delivered your glass bottles of milk on your front door step every morning;
As children, we played, football rounders, hide and seek, skipping ropes, kick the can, hopscotch, obstacle courses, sprint races, tennis, swingball, talent shows…and all outdoors!
My Dad, Grans, Granda, Aunties, Uncle, Godmother and some good School Pals were all living back then – now sadly missed . . . . . . oh how I remember when!

Personally, I prefer to drive my own way through life – sometimes the journey is smooth and other times it’s a very bumpy ride.
Life, with all its twists and turns, can somedays be higher than high, then the next day, lower than low – I guess, that’s just the way life is and we must, stay strong and roll with the punches.
Set backs in life are inevitable but it’s important that you remain determined and resilient as ever, as these powerful qualities bring real passion to the common phrase “keep going”.
Always visualise yourself WINNING, no matter what’s going on around you. I encourage you to DRIVE from within and get to your desired destination, with that amazing feeling of real self-achievement.
Remember, your deep experience in life, love and in work. You are crowned everyday with unique capabilities that are open to true growth and self-expansion
I challenge wonderful YOU, to forge your way forward into achieving your goals and aspirations.
Ponder on this thought for today…..DRIVE or be DRIVEN?
I can honestly say, I haven’t had the Monday Morning Blues for a good few years now and I never want to have them in the future either.
I remember, in my much younger days, getting these feelings, which often started on the Sunday evening!
I know, most of you can relate to those feelings of ‘dread’ going into a job that, for your own reasons, didn’t feel right.
I made a promise to myself a few years back that if I ever got so low again going into a job, I would sort that stuff out super fast.
Thankfully, I know what I want from a job and how I can utilise my skills and experience to contribute effectively. I also know how I want to be led and empowered to bring my best game to the table on a daily basis.
You have the true capacity and pure potential to achieve everything you want from your work and you are in control of whether you make it or break it.
I believe you deserve to experience the best of opportunities out there, so make sure you bring your ‘A’ game every single time.
There is this great quote by Rumi, “what you seek, is seeking you”, and for me, this quote is a wonderful reminder to never doubt your capabilities and be mindful of the many doors that are open for you – just walk right in.
When you build up momentum in the pursuit of a dream or goal, it really does multiply your energies.
Mostly in the beginning of a “start up” phase, or for example, learning a new skill, it can take a whole lot of effort and focus to build those foundations and get things moving.
This is when the power of momentum really does help to make a positive difference.
So, keep up that consistency and channel your laser focus energy into what needs done and soon that magical momentum will kick in.
In the purest sunlight, the heart shines on like a beacon of love, dancing in the deepest cave of hope.
It is in this magnetic power a new mind is born and faraway horizons seem so close you can touch them.
Maybe all of the things in life, that don’t seem to make sense, were never to be thought about in that way.
What if, you were supposed to stay so present in each moment that thoughts of fear and doubt never ever manifested.
True thought can steer your mind in different directions – and the body, if in conflict or alignment with that thinking, will honour its preferred state of being.
Is your mind leading the way or is it your body? I think neither! I believe the magical field that surrounds your being always empowers the best out of you. It’s time to let this heavenly power communicate with your senses and create miracles through you.
You have everything you need, right here, right now to go far beyond what you think you are capable of achieving.
The sun’s energy cannot exist without you, that’s how important you are to this world.
This is one of my favourite original quotes and the excerpt is taking from a short poetic story I wrote many years ago. My plan is to turn the story into a book one day….watch this space!
“The midnight sky is vast and black, yet stars appear and light comes back.”
1.
If God lets me
I'll always lead the way
If God lets me
I'll kneel down with him and pray
If God lets me
I'll do him very proud
If God lets me
I'll help all lost in the crowd
2.
If God lets me
I'll shine like the morning sun
If God lets me
I'll do what he needs done
If God lets me
I'll be a beacon of pure strength
If God lets me
I'll go to any given length
3.
If God lets me
I'll show him my full power
If God lets me
I'll respect his every hour
If God lets me
I'll take the best right turn
If God lets me
I'll let all worry burn
4.
If God lets me
I'll give him my all
If God lets me
I'll knock down each brick wall
If God lets me
I'll be happy in present time
If God lets me
I'll forever be more than fine
5.
If God lets me
I'll forgive and forget
If God lets me
I'll get out of all bad debt
If God lets me
I'll love him like no other
If God lets me
I'll make peace with every brother
6.
If God lets me
I'll hold my head up high
If God lets me
I'll be truthful and not lie
If God lets me
I'll always sing his song
If God lets me
I'll make right every wrong
7.
If God lets me
I'll live life to the full
If God lets me
I'll obey his every rule
If God lets me
I'll share the good I know
If God lets me
I'll give all hope a go
8.
If God lets me
I'll believe in my self-worth
If God lets me
Every wave of life I'll surf
If God lets me
I'll be positive and bright
If God lets me
I'll sleep peacefully each night
9.
If God lets me
I"ll take my second chance
If God lets me
I'll celebrate and dance
If God lets me
I'll show him I am real
If God lets me
I trust he'll make the deal

Vibrant youth,
bountiful in art,
graceful in nature,
sweet miracle heart.
Oh beautiful flower,
in my soul you do live,
the scent of your life,
forever it gives.
I watch you in awe,
growing so free,
a magical creation,
a wonder to see.
We make use of our mind to relay our feelings, to pass on what we are suggesting. Writing lyrics makes use of numerous elements of our mind; not only our feelings. For instance:
Awareness
Imagination
Education
Assessment
Study and Impartiality
You can enhance the expertise of your lyric writing and discover new methods of expressing yourself. As you gain knowledge, you naturally set up a tool kit which you utilize to articulate yourself.
Writing Lyrics Efficiently
Some songwriters and lyricists think that formalizing the building as well as utilization of a songwriters’ toolkit will in a way lower the validity of the formed lyrics; however, this is short sighted.
The reason is that to begin with, lyricists already implement a lot of skills which they gained knowledge of in a formal way, such as writing and reading.
You are going to have gained knowledge of the essentials of language, how…
On my day off on Saturday, I put my car into the garage for its MOT test and whilst I was waiting on the results of the test I headed into the local coffee shop for a nice warm breakfast and a lovely cup of coffee. It was snowing outside and I was all cosy sitting next to the glowing woodburner whilst drying off. I wrote 8 poems during that time, the words just flowed out of me, it felt beautiful, it felt right. Here is one of them for you:
She Writes with Spirit
She writes with spirit,
And passionate charm.
When her mind is free,
It releases all harm.
There is no pain,
In a purposeful thought.
An alignment of values,
Gives such a lot.
Her point is wise,
Her words inspire.
To capture all hearts,
This is her desire.
So she keeps on musing,
Whenever she can,
Like the oxygen she breathes,
Over the distance she ran.
She creates from space,
To feed her soul.
And continues this journey,
It makes her feel whole.
The miracle of white space is so magical it can be filled with anything, anything you want it to be filled by, anything….because I believe anything is possible my friend!! This next poem is for you:
White Space
White space,
Speaks volumes inside.
Pages of hope,
Thoughts to confide.
To fill the blank,
To listen from within.
Changes the dimension,
Trophies the win.
Cast your eye,
Over the light.
Let it bring out your star,
Delivering dreams tonight.
I love sipping a cup of coffee, watching the world go by and getting lost in writing poetry, I just love it. This is is for you.
The Coffee in her Cup
The coffee in her cup,
Ignites a letter.
Full of wisdom,
Inspiring to be better.
People take part,
In her unknown song.
Like mystical wires,
To where we belong.
Does it make sense?
Maybe not now.
But when you read back,
Then you’ll now how.
Thank you for,
My crystal dreams.
Forever truthful,
Where rainbow light beams.
Fruitful thoughts,
Of the happiest smiles,
Steps of courage,
Bravery in the miles.
Create a little more space for yourself in your life, do some decluttering of your environment, do some decluttering of you – maybe a detox, drink more pure, clear water, go visit the beach, breathe in the freshest sea salty air. Clear out your mind, clear our your soul, dust away the cobwebs and revitalise your beautiful heart. Creating space for you will create more space for the goodness to come in, I am sure of it, I believe that, I am living that.
Go on, do something different today, I dare you, just do it and see your confidence shine like the brightest star. You know you want to, go on, I dare you.
Take a trip of a lifetime, you know the place you’ve always wanted to go to, plan making that trip now. Even if it takes you 5 years to get there, start planning NOW how you’re going to do it.
Think about how amazing it will be when you get there, see yourself there, having the BEST time of your life, how great does it feel?
Life is made up of experiences, so try your best to have more experiences that take your breath away.
Where do you want to go to?
New York at Christmas Time?
Graceland, to be inspired by the spirit of Elvis?
Route 66, a truly amazing train journey?
San Francisco, to stand close to the Golden Gate Bridge?
Iceland, to watch the stunning Northern Lights?
The snowy Cairngorm Mountains, Scotland?
A luxury world cruise?
Watch the sunset from the top of Table Mountain in Cape Town.
WOW, I bet you’re getting really excited, just thinking about it, I know I am. I have been extremely lucky to have been to some of the above places, inspirational journeys that really did take my breath away.
Start making plans today, I see you there and you are having the BEST time EVER.
Little words of inspiration to move you, love Clarabelle
Feel the freshness,
In the air.
A New Year dawns,
Hope is everywhere.
Dreams and wishes,
Goals and plans.
Happy hearts,
Minds of “I Cans”.
Give it your all,
And a little but more.
Let the New Year,
Open every door.
On the dawn of this New Year, hold your dream vision tight in your mind’s eyes. Stay super focused on achieving what you want in life, and no matter what comes around the corner, keep it together.
I look forward to hearing about all your successes in the coming year.
I’m free,
As the air I breathe.
I’m happy,
Like an autumn leaf.
I’m loved,
Like the moon so bright,
I’m peaceful,
In a starry night.
I’m smiling,
As my dreams come true.
I’m here,
Always believing in you.
Measure your progress,
Day by day.
Feel your progress,
Move your way.
Dig even deeper,
Prove to yourself,
That you deserve abundance,
Success and true wealth.
Such beauty is everywhere, stop for a moment, take a look, it’s there you know, can you see it? Can you feel it, yes, it’s definitely there. Enjoy your inner beauty, let it sparkle in everything that you do.
