2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.  Thank you, love Clarabelle

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 15,000 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 6 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

WOW, Thank YOU

Clarabelle Happy New Year

Blog’s Progress

Only 4 days ago I shared a blog stats post with you, I was so delighted that I reached over 18,000 blog hits.  I remember it used to take me over a month to receive over 1000 blog hits and yes, you’ve guessed it, I’ve reached over 19,000 blog hits now.  The last 4 days has been amazing for this blog and Christmas Eve was my busiest day ever on this blog to date, with 466 hits, thank YOU so much.  I am so amazed by this blog’s progress, I really love posting to this blog and I do hope it shows because I get so much from it and I really hope you do too.  So thank YOU once again for making this happen, I really do love you for it and I hope you stay on this wonderful journey with me.  Lots of love to you today and always, Clarabelle.

Clarabelle Blog hits

I Am So Amazed!!

8 days ago I shared with you my absolute delight of reaching 17,000 blog hits but I honestly wasn’t expecting to be updating you again today, yes only 8 days later, now celebrating 18,000 + blog hits – wow, I am so amazed!!

This month in December has been particularly successful for blog visitors and views, with the highest ever number of daily, weekly and monthly stats since the blog’s birth in April 2012.

Rapid Increase

I have noticed that the Search Engines seem to be finding my blog more, which I feel is the biggest reason for the rapid increase and I am so glad people are liking my posts too.  This just inspires me even more and more to keep going and sharing meaningful posts with you from my creative spirit, heart and soul.

So I offer up to you a massive thank YOU for being here, it just wouldn’t be the same without YOU.

Big Plans

I have big plans for this Clarabelle Blog and I am so delighted that it is going from strength to strength, for what once started out as a hobby and a “nice thing to do” is evolving into something really magical for me and hopefully for you.

My Heart to You

This is my life project and I will continue to inspire as much as I can through this blog and I do hope you will continue on this beautiful and exciting journey with me because every time I post, it gives a little piece of my heart to you.

Love to you, Clarabelle

Focus Goal Card Journal

Start Up

I started this blog up in April 2012 to originally share my own poetry with you.  I remember looking at all the hundreds of poems I had written but had never really shared them with anyone, hence the idea for the blog came about.

It’s quite funny because this blog wasn’t planned, it wasn’t on my list of things to achieve and wasn’t a specific goal I set out to do at the beginning of year.  It was something that just came over me that day, I remember having a quiet solitude moment to myself and in popped the idea.

I had started a blog prior to this one in 2009 which related to my Murray People Coaching Business but I wasn’t consistent with my blog posts and therefore that blog then became redundant.

Something about Clarabelle

But…. and I mean a BIG BUT HERE, there is something about this Clarabelle blog that I just, quite simply, love.  I think I am in love with it hahahahah.  🙂   I know this because of how excited I am to write blog posts almost everyday.

If you’re a regular visitor to this blog you will now know that I don’t only share my poetry, I share my thoughts on topics around self help, personal development, coaching tools, songwriting, songs, guest bloggers, interesting conversations I have, road running, birthday celebrations, eBooks, quotations, affirmations, photography, music etc….basically anything that I feel passionate about writing.

So why am I sharing all this with you?

Well, I really really do value YOU for visiting this blog and I feel it is important for me to give you a voice and tell me what you like about this blog and what you don’t like. Please feel free to note your responses on the comments section below or email me at claire@murraypeople.com.  I will use your valuable feedback to make this blog even better because I am committed to it and I am committed to give YOU more of what you really like.

So, beautiful people, open up your voice box and let me know what you really think. Thank you and I look forward to hearing your feedback.

Question for YOU:  What do you like/dislike about this blog and why?

True Happiness on Golden Sands

happiness on golden sands

What is the perfect home environment for you? You may already be there but if you’re not, maybe it’s time to get thinking about it.

I See Myself

I have been thinking about the perfect environment for me going forward in my life.  As much as I really do LOVE the vibrant energy of the city, I now feel that I don’t want that all the time. Lately, I have had this strong inner desire to live in a beach house by the sea. I see myself, waking up there every morning, heading out onto my sea view balcony and being mesmerised by the golden sandy beaches kissing the edge of the clear blue ocean. This is where I will continue to write creatively and meaningfully everyday, my heart and soul is beautifully refreshed by the breath of the sea breeze flowing through my body.

This one thought, this one vision is the beginning of its manifestation……and this next poem is inspired by just that.

Happiness on Golden Sands

The clearest water,
the purest mind.
A giving heart,
so true and kind.

Beware of the bumps,
upon the city road.
Sometimes their light
sometimes a load.

The eyes see the colours,
the soul feels the beat.
Sweet memories last forever,
and new people you will meet.

The clouds float above,
Drifting to far lands.
My beautiful beach house view,
True happiness on golden sands.

Bubblegum Ambitions Video Poem

I hope you like this next video poem, it’s about dropping the ego, not focusing on competition but focusing your creativity and authenticity as you move forward in your life. Much love to you today, as always, Clarabelle.

Bubblegum Ambitions

You are not what you have, or even what you do,

You are what you are, be grateful for you.

To compare your life, to another one,

To aggressively compete, under the sun.

Will take your ego, into the sky,

Bubblegum ambitions, no tears you will cry.

***
But then one day, there will come a time,

You want to change, from what’s mine is mine.

You crumble to the floor, and what once was real,

Is starting to flake, and numbness you feel.

There is always a way, to shine at night,

Glowing and flowing, it’s a natural flight.

***
Silent is the heart, it speaks to you here,

Vibrations of energy, simmer the fear.

Truth is where it’s at, go to the ocean,

The waves clear your thoughts, love is in motion.

Now you are hollow, now you are free,

Knowing what you live for, let your life be.

Motivational Speech – “BEST EVER YOU”

I wrote this motivational and inspirational speech from deep within my heart and soul for YOU yesterday and I recorded it on Youtube this morning.  I do hope this inspires you to be the BEST EVER YOU.  Love Clarabelle

BEST EVER YOU

Who Am I? I am a woman, a person with a heart, a loving heart, a soul, a singing soul, a spirit, a happy spirit.  I have dreams, great, great, dreams.  I have plans, big, big, plans.  I have faith, strong faith in the mystery of the unknown and I BELIEVE.

I believe with every part of my being that only magnificence lies before me.  I have a unique power that goes beyond the impossible.  I have an energy that attracts true abundance to me.  I am alive and I am grateful for all that I am and for all that I am becoming.

I can create magic around me because I breathe and do with passion, every baby step that I take on this journey of life.

The miracle of all miracles is in me and in every path I come across.  Every heart that I touch, every soul that I inspire, every star that I catch and every rainbow that protects me from the storms.

I am at one with me, in the silence of all silences my spirit shines and my light guides me out of the darkness.

I fly, I soar, I reach for the mountain top and when I get there, I see far in the distance another higher mountain to climb.  But it is in the challenge of every challenge to only ever reach the top.  The top is never ending, the beginning is never new, life is, what it is.

Life is how you see it.

Life is how you live it.

Life is how you love it.

There is freedom, there is abundance, there is everything you need and want before you.  You can’t see it with your eyes, you can’t touch it with your hands but it is living, breathing and dancing around you.  This invisible space is your space, your space to fill with smiles, laughter, love, joy and happiness.  Nourish the space around you by nourishing peace from within, because even in stormy weathers you can find a calm place.

So go to the edge of the mountain top because it is waiting for you with open arms.  Other travellers want to hear your story, want to learn from your experiences, good or bad.  They want to know, what you know, to help them on their own journey of life.

Then you must find a quiet spot and listen to the sound of the wind, whispers of the greatest knowledge will come to you and you will use this wisdom to carry on.

Yes you may feel broken right now.

Yes you may have cried enough tears to fill a river.

Yes you may feel like a failure and all your self-worth and self-confidence has gone.

But I want to tell you something. It’s still there you know.  The best part of you is still living in you. You still have that spark. You still shine.  You are loved deeply and your heart knows this.

The mind can play games with our feelings, but the mind has no hold over the power of the heart.  Close your eyes, feel your heart, feel its energy, feel its power, let it grow inside of you.

You are very special and you can and will do this. You will turn your life around for the better.

This is the moment that counts, this is when you decide enough is enough.  This is when you say “I am strong, I am better than that and I believe in me and my potential.  I am whatever I choose to be and I choose to be what I believe in my heart.  I am my greatest dreams, I am.”

Never settle for too little because you have such a lot and to not unleash your true talents into this world would surely keep you from the wisdom that is truly yours.

Trust in you, trust in your abilities, trust that everyone is asking similar questions and this is your time to fight back.  This is your time to answer with your heart.  This is your life, to love, to live, to learn and to lead.  Capture that feeling in your heart right now, let it flow through every vein in your body, let it illuminate you with drive, determination and self-discipline, now mix it with passion and purpose and you’re on your way.

You are free now, free to make the right choices and decisions in life that will make you the BEST EVER YOU.  Your new life awaits – make every moment count and GO GET IT, because nobody deserves it more than you.  You have all the qualities within you to make it.  Thrive, grow and shine NOW and FOREVER.

The Sound of Inspiration

Inspiration is Everywhere

I wrote this song because I wanted the lyrics to inspire people to really believe in themselves and go for their dreams and goals in life.  The song is entitled, “I Am The Greatest” and I want the person singing along to it, to really believe that they are and to feel encouraged and empowered by the words from within.  Inspiration is everywhere and I do hope you find some of it in this song.  Below is the Youtube video of me singing it for you.  I am still working on the backing tracks but I didn’t want that to stop the process of me sharing this with you.  🙂 Wishing you a day filled with love and inspiration, love Clarabelle.

Thank YOU

Just for you 🙂

C’mon You, Let’s Go!!

Motivational

As you know I have been writing a lot of my own songs recently and the first few that I wrote about were love songs and then I went through a phase of writing some more motivational songs.  This next song that I share with you below is one of the more motivational songs, it is called “C’mon You”.  For those of you who are not familiar with the Scottish banter, “C’mon” means “come on” and in this song it really means “lift yourself up and get a move on, get back in the game”.  I hope you like it.  So wherever you are today and whatever you are doing I hope you make it a “C’mon You” day.  Lots of love to you Clarabelle.

Here are the lyrics for you, so you can sing along if you wish  🙂

C’mon You by Claire Marie Murray 22.07.13

Verse 1

Let me tell you a story
Life may beat you down
But you don’t have to take no more
Just let your spirit shine
Believe in your passion
You can have it all
Show a little compassion
Break down the tough brick wall

Chorus

So C’mon, you can do it
C’mon, this I know
C’mon, yesterday’s over
Oh C’mon you, let’s go

Verse 2

So now I’ve shared my journey
Go and live and your life
Time it will not wait for you
You won’t be living twice
Know that you can do it
You can achieve it all
Hard work will get you through it
Soon you’ll be standing tall

Chorus

So C’mon, you can do it
C’mon, this I know
C’mon, yesterday’s over
Oh C’mon you, let’s go

Bridge

C’mon life aint gonna wait for you
Get back up – you can do
All you put your mind to
When you feel pain, see it through

Chorus (to fade)

So C’mon, you can do it
C’mon, this I know
C’mon, yesterday’s over
Oh C’mon you, let’s go (repeat to fade)

Clarabelle Bespoke Poetry

Claire's Mug

Over the years, I get asked a lot of the time to create bespoke poems for colleagues, friends and family and I am now offering this up as a service to others who wish to benefit from it.  I have been working on my own flyer design and I thought I would share it with you today.

I believe that poetry touches the heart in a much more deeper and fulfilling way than a bunch of flowers or box of chocolates could, it is that special gift that lives in the heart of the receiver forever.

I have a simple vision, I want everyone to have a poem, verse or song from Clarabelle because I know it will always come straight from the heart to reach and connect with other hearts.  Much love to you today, as always Clarabelle.

August Guest Blogger – Douglas Robertson

Please let me introduce you to this month’s very creative Guest Blogger, Douglas Robertson.

Douglas Robertson
Douglas Robertson

Douglas has always been interested in art but says that he hasn’t really drawn anything recently but does love photoshopping. Douglas says, “I suppose what I do is the equivalent of what ‘pimp my ride’ is to cars as to what I do to pictures/photos. I sometimes refer to what I do as ‘digi-punk’ art. Basically I either get an idea for a picture and create it by taking different parts and pieces of other pictures to create a new one.”

The other thing Douglas likes to do is turn a photograph into a ‘painting’ by using various effects and layers and many ‘paintings’ can have as many as 20 layers.

When I, (Clarabelle) went on holiday this year to Ibiza I took a photo of my footprints in the sand, Douglas then added his own creative art to the photo and used one of my original poems to add a touch of uniqueness too.  Douglas says, “the ‘footprints in the sand‘ picture with poem had about 8 layers and was itself the result of several ‘halfway’ pictures to get the final result.”

footprints in the sand

Douglas also takes his own photographs with the view to photoshopping them when he gets home – a good example of that is: Photo 1 and the original photograph:  Photo 2

Douglas’ Next Steps

My next step would be to actually turn my creations into real paintings by actually getting the brushes out and painting versions of them.  Below is Douglas’ own caracature creation of himself.  🙂

I am sure you will all agree, Douglas is a very talented creative individual and if you would like to see more of Douglas’ work, then please feel free to head over to his facebook page, Wiggly Beezers Arts you will also find there another creative picture of me, Clarabelle with the “City Lights” poem added to it.

I would like to give a special thank you to Douglas for sharing his creatives talents on this Clarabelle blog, it’s been an absolutely pleasure.

You Can Be Happy No Matter What

You Can Be Happy No Matter What

Bargain Price

A few weeks ago I was rummaging through the sale shelves of the local library and bought this book “You Can Be Happy No Matter What”, by Richard Carlson, at the bargain price of 20 pence.  I have just started reading it tonight and I think it is really great.  I am very familiar with a lot of the contents in the book but it really is great to have a refresher on it from a different author.  Below are some amazing quotes from the book and I do hope it connects with you in some way as they did me.  🙂

  • “Life is not your enemy, but your thinking can be.”
  • “When we feel better we have more access to our own wisdom and common sense.  We tend to be less reactive, defensive, and critical; we make better decisions and we communicate more effectively.”
  • “It is our ‘transmitter’ mind, not our computer mind, that is the source of our contentment, joy and wisdom.”
  • “The ‘transmitter’ is the part that deals with matters of the heart.”
  • “New answers don’t come from what you already know in the computer part of your brain.  They come from change of heart, from seeing life differently, from the unknown, quieter part of yourself.

Meant to Be

This book happened to fall off my bookshelf tonight, it is as if I was meant to read it and share the learning with you in this blog post.  I am only on the third chapter so I am sure I will blog about the learnings from it some more.

What books do you have on your bookshelf that deserve a first or second look, it might just be the book you need to read right now?

Lots of love to you today, as always Clarabelle

You Are The Key

Life is too short

Often we look for a solution to our problems “out there” however I am a great believer that you have the answer deep inside yourself.

“You Are The Key” is a song that I created a few weeks, although I do write a lot of love songs I also write a lot of uplifting and more inspiring songs too.  I hope you like this Youtube demo song and that it adds a little zest to your day (background music currently being produced).

Remember whatever you are going through in life just now “You Are The Key” to turning it all around for the better.  I have inserted the lyrics below also, so you can sing along if you wish.  Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle

YOU ARE THE KEY by Claire Marie Murray, a.k.a. Clarabelle 11 July 2013

Verse 1

Mr Inspirational believes in his dreams
Miss Influential, life is better than it seems
Mr Motivational has hunger in his soul
Mrs Positivity, always reaches her goal

Chorus

For you are the key
And this is your cue
know what you want,
Let it inspire you
Feel in your heart,
all the things you can do
For you are the key
And this is so true

Verse 2

Mr Happiness, smiles all the time
Miss Joyfulness, sings uplifting tunes in rhyme
Mr Success, nothing stops him now
Mrs Believer, knows she is wow

Chorus

For you are the key
And this is your cue
know what you want,
Let it inspire you
Feel in your heart,
all the things you can do
For you are the key
And this is so true

Bridge

Dream a bigger dream
Paradise waits for you
Be the cat with cream
There ain’t nothing you can do
Hold in your heart
Dance amidst the clouds
Uniqueness is your part
Don’t follow all the crowds

Chorus (to fade)

For you are the key
And this is your cue
know what you want,
Let it inspire you
Feel in your heart,
all the things you can do
For you are the key
And this is so true
Yes, you are the key
Believe that is true

Inspiration is all around
Up above and on the ground
In your heart and in the sun
Colourful flowers and kids having fun
Starry skies and oceans of blue
Walks in the park, all that you do
All that you think, all that you feel
Inspiration, can help you heal
Open your mind, body and soul
Inspiration will make you feel whole
The strangers on the street, have it too
The lonely kid, staring at their shoe
Awake in this moment, know that it’s there

What does your ‘Now’ & ‘Future’ look like?

Self Discovery

The pathway to self discovery can be approached in many ways and I am great believer that you should always choose the best way that works for you, because we are very different.  One of the approaches that I use, is sometimes I will answer a question by drawing a picture, let me explain further.

Yesterday I was in reflective mode and I decided to draw a picture of my life ‘Now’ and my life in the ‘Future’.  I never have a specific image in mind I just start drawing, I draw what feels right for e.g. the colours, the symbols…. what’s important to me at the time is how they feel not necessarily what they look like visually. As you can see below my drawing skills are not really to be desired 🙂 but I don’t do it for that, I do it for the meaningful connection that I believe comes from the source of my being.  I know this may sound a little far fetched or even a little crazy to some but I know these drawings have meanings and even if I don’t understand them completely right now, I always find out later what they have meant.  So below I will share with you the drawing I drew yesterday of my ‘Now’ (left) and my ‘Future’ (right), what do they mean to you?  I would really love to know what you think.  Why don’t you even give it a go yourself.

Much love to you today as always, Clarabelle.

What Mood Are You In?

Mood Lift Chart

Mood Lift Chart

I love this chart above, it was passed to me by one of my clients who has been working with an expert on leading change.  I love it so much that I carry this little chart about with me everywhere now, I often look at it to measure where my mood is at.  Earlier today, I had identified my mood as being -1 Impatient, Frustrated, I know why, I was putting too much energy and focus on a situation that did not serve me well, I changed focus and it then gradually moved up to +6 Resourceful and in this moment in time I am at +8 Wise, Insightful.  Try it for yourself, print off the chart, cut it out and put it in your wallet/purse and test yourself throughout the day in terms of where your mood is at, it is very enlightening and will help you to reflect on where your current focus is – Is it serving you well or not?

Have fun with it, work on increasing your mood and I then reckon much more positive actions will come from this.

Thank you for reading this post – ah now I am +9 Grateful, THANK YOU, Clarabelle.

In the Heat of the Night

stars

Sometimes we all need a little bit of motivation to help us see through the day, when times are tough, sometimes you can be uplifted by hearing the right words.  I wrote this song last week which is all about being in “Yes You Can” mode and funnily enough I called it “Yes You Can” I have created the melody and just need to work on the backing track and getting it recorded but I thought I would share the words here with you today.  Wishing you a day filled with positive self belief, because “YES YOU CAN”.  Love Clarabelle

Yes You Can

Verse 1

You may not win them all
But you can win the fight
You won’t win all hearts
In the heat of the night
But protect what you’ve got
Cos you’ve got such a lot
Feel in your soul
The mountain top goal

Chorus

Yes you can
Yes you can
And you will
Get up that hill
And you will fly
Across the sky
And you will soar
Let your spirit roar
Oh yes you can

Verse 2

You may want to let go
But believe in your heart
You should never feel low
Don’t let dreams fall apart
So protect all of you
Cos you’re human too
Experience life
Forget trouble strife

Chorus

Yes you can
Yes you can
And you will
Get up that hill
And you will fly
Across the sky
And you will soar
Let your spirit roar
Oh yes you can

Bridge

Keep your dreams alive
For you are oh so special
Let your happy spirit thrive
Have strength and be strong
This is where your heart belongs

Chorus (to fade)

Yes you can
Yes you can
And you will
Get up that hill
And you will fly
Across the sky
And you will soar
Let your spirit roar
Oh yes you can

Yes You Can Because You Are The Key

Life is too short to wait

Today I have been in creative mode, I have written two inspirational songs so far and I am very pleased with the outcome.  The songs are entitled “YES YOU CAN” and “YOU ARE THE KEY”, once I have had my songs registered with BMI and recorded on YouTube I will share them with you on this blog.

I am excited to share these songs because I believe that if you are having a tough day and you then listen to these songs, I am hoping the lyrics will connect with you in some way and uplift your spirits.  We all need a little morale boost now and again and I feel the essence of these two songs is all about that.

Make today be a “YES YOU CAN” day for you because “YOU ARE THE KEY” to turning your life around for the better.

Wishing you a day filled with happiness and joy, love Clarabelle.

Sometimes….

Beautiful sky

What do you think about sometimes?  My own answer is given in this poem – don’t forget the silence between the lines.

Sometimes

Sometimes I think, why am I here?
What is my purpose, is this clear?

Sometimes I think, who am I?
Is this life, passing me by?

Sometimes I think, far to much,
Over analysing, out of touch.

Sometimes I think, happiness is here,
Bringing me joy, full of good cheer.

Sometimes I think, be in the now,
Embrace the moment, not the how.

Sometimes I think, fast fast fast,
Making me dizzy, this cannot last.

Sometimes I don’t think, then I smile,
Peace from within, is here for a while.

Most times I let, my heart whisper to me,
Beautiful music, my soul dances free.

So sometimes free your mind, from thinking at all,
For ALL times the light appears, when darkness does fall

The Power of Visualisation

The power of visualisation

I love using the power of visualisation, I feel it is a very beneficial exercise to apply when you want to distance yourself from a current problem, so as to help you find the solution or if you want to think creatively about your future self.  Here is a visualisation exercise that I came up with that really helped me to look at where I was at, what I was doing and what needed to change (if anything).  I would recommend you have some quiet time and space to do this exercise effectively, you may also wish to have a notepad and pen available, so you can record your thoughts, feelings and any action points you may want to take from doing this exercise.

Imagination

Imagine yourself looking down on yourself from above, like having a birds-eye view of what you are doing.  See yourself right now going about your business, look at how you operate, who you talk to, where you go, what your routine is like, what daily rituals you have and even listen to what you’re thinking and communicating.  Now I want you to look at the things that are serving you well and think about why this is and in contrast to that I want you to think about the things that you are thinking and doing that are not serving you well.  Let me give you an example:

Map

When I did this exercise a few months ago, I looked at the places I was going to, I then drew out a map of this on my notepad, I didn’t like what I seen because I had got into the habit of going to the same places and never really getting out of a 50 mile radius from where I lived……that really made me think and immediately I got to work on making choices and decisions that would change that for me.  This then led me onto exploring new places, meeting new people who inspired me and from that I started doing some things a little differently which have served me very well.

Challenge Yourself

So today I want you to challenge yourself to do this visualisatoin exercise and step out of who you are and take a birds-eye view of you living your life.  If you don’t like what you see, take a note of what you want to change, what you want to do more of, what you want to do less of, what you want to say ‘yes’ to and what you will say ‘no’ to.  Take the time to reflect on it all because by applying these new insights, it could just be the turning point you need in your life right now.

Not happy?  I challenge you to make the change today.

I hope you take the opportunity to try out this visualisation exercise and I would love to hear what new insights you got from it.

Much love to you today,  Clarabelle

Best Friend

I’ll stay with you now
I won’t leave your side
Nowhere to run
Nothing to hide
Catching the moment
Slowing down time
I’m all alone
These emotions are mine
Drying the river
Turning the tide
Breaking the chains
So these worlds can collide
As we hold on so tightly
To illusions gone by
But Live for today
With no worry or sigh
Stay with me now
Cause there’s nowhere to go
Play the best friend, lover or foe
Jester magician
With all tricks of the trade
Hold on to him tightly
till he starts to fade
Oh mirror mirror
what do you show
I see what I want
I don’t know if you know
Make an impression
lets make it the last
Tie to the sail
And stick to the mast
The question’s the answer
The start is the end
You won’t fool yourself
But it’s fun to pretend
Stay in your shoes
Don’t leave your canoe
Create the next step
You know you can choose
Like ships on the ocean
Thieves in the night
Silent and strong
Set sail for the light

Take Your First Flight

Take your first flight

I am waiting on a colleague to call me this morning and during this tranquil time before we speak I thought I would write a little poem, because I feel I haven’t shared a poem on here for a while.  So here is what poured out of my being, it took less than 60 seconds to create, so I guess I must be connected to the right sources for this to happen – this is creative flow at its very best.  I hope you enjoy, lots of love to you today, Clarabelle.

Take Your First Flight

The experience of life, will make you strong,
Your spirit will uplift you, to where you belong.
All is whole, truth and more,
Welcome the world, open the door.
A grateful heart, will always smile,
Magical moments, are felt for a while.
And as the curtain falls, and the audience moves on,
Stand there tall, for you have not gone.
Your soul is forever, it sparkles and shines,
Listen to, its beautiful chimes.
Take your frequency, as high as a kite
The Universe is waiting, take your first flight.

A Special Kind of Love

“You can’t force love in another, all you can do is love yourself.” (Clarabelle)

I woke up this morning and that was the first thought that came into my head, so what does this mean?  For me, it means many things but the one true sentiment from this sentence is really about having self-love, only then will you attract real true love into your life.  Love attracts love and when you have self-love then you will be a magnet for pure love from another   This next poem is inspired by just that, focus on the power in you, put your energy into your own self-love and believe me, you will be surrounded with an abundance of love from others, that is a special kind of love.

A special kind of love

A Special Kind of Love

There is a special kind of love, dancing in me;

Flowing through my veins, setting me free.

A burning energy of joy, happiness and light;

Capturing my soul, in the heat of the night.

Focus on yourself, give attention to you;

Your spirit welcomes, pure love in what you do.

The right person will come, for they never left your side;

Self-love is your answer, hold it in your heart with pride.

I AM THAT I AM

I am that I am

Growing from Within

I am very heavily into my own self development and as I feel myself growing from within I feel it is stripping back built up beliefs that don’t serve me well and returning me back to who I really am.  I am very aware of this change happening within me and I feel the dreams I had as a child, which I let go of for 30 years, finding their way back to me – like an inner calling with drive and purpose.

Here is what I AM becoming more aware of each day in my life:

  • Simple things like listening to music that moves me, music that makes me want to sing and dance;
  • Songwriting and producing music;
  • Being in touch with my inner emotions and open expressions of feelings of love;
  • Holding my face up to the sunlight and breathing in the fresh air;
  • Playing, having fun and laughing…..a lot!!
  • Feeling excited at the start of each new day, answering the question, What will I create today?
  • Refreshing my soul in the rain – I love the rain;
  • Having lighthearted fun conversations with my best friends;
  • Having trusting, openhearted conversations with my mum… not minutes….for hours;
  • Coming alive in the presence of children – my nieces and nephew;
  • Feeling INSPIRED, right now I feel inspired, right now in this very moment;
  • Being so very grateful and being very mindful of this – it comes naturally to me, my attitude of gratitude;
  • My deepest appreciation for solitude, I know when I need this, I know I like to have my own quiet, creative space at times;
  • Reaching out to other people and confidently sharing all of the above and more;
  • Appreciating the beauty and miracle of a rainbow, the moonlight and the midnight stars;
  • I sincerely value what I am attracting into my life right now, there is so much abundance, I feel elated;

5 WORDS

I read books, I read a lot of books and I take different bits and pieces of the knowledge from these books and apply them to what feels right for me. I don’t always believe everything I read, however I am very much open to what others have to say and value their thoughts and contributions.  I know I am becoming a better person, a better version of me, I know I am the healthiest I have ever been in my whole life and I am that I am.  Those last 5 words of the preceding sentence “I AM THAT I AM” this for me is very powerful, I felt and believed that before I even read about the Power of I AM.  I am using “I AM” in my thoughts everyday, it makes a special connection with me and I feel its power.  Below is an example of what I AM and what I say to myself everyday now (this list is not exhaustive):

I AM love
I AM inspiration
I AM a wonderfully creative and full of imagination
I AM  a successful poet
I AM super healthy
I AM positive energy and colourfully vibrant
I AM happy and fulfilled
I AM a Marathoner
I AM super confident
I AM super rich in the fullness of life
I AM inspiring hearts all over the world
I AM a very successful blogger
I AM the very best Coach and Mentor
I AM a successful music producer and singer/songwriter
I AM wonderfully happy in my new home and environment
I AM prosperous and attract all that I want into my life
I AM beautiful

I AM THAT I AM and I have every faith in the Power of I AM

The above feels right for me and I would encourage you to apply the Power of I AM in your daily life, however, ONLY if you feel it purely connects with you, you feel it touch and inspire your inner being, I am a great believer that what works for me, doesn’t always work for you.  This works for me but if it doesn’t connect and work for you, something else will and it will find you.

May you be inspired today to find out that very thing that connects and works for you.  Much love to you today, Clarabelle

Inspiration Will Find You

Inspiration will find you

A Trigger

Sometimes you just can’t force yourself to be inspired, sometimes you just have to let go and let the inspiration find you, let it find its own way to your heart.  I say this because I have experienced it for myself and tried to force inspiration but I just cannot do it, it doesn’t feel right and it doesn’t connect or flow.  Then when I begin to switch off, when I take my mind off trying too hard, then comes a signal, a trigger, an emotional connection to a sense of purpose deep inside of me and WOW, I FEEL INSPIRED….then I create, just like I am doing right now…..I am writing from inspiration and the words just keep coming, flowing freely like a magical waterfall.  I feel my energy rising throughout my body, focus is maximised and concentration is full on, I know other things are going on around me, but they do not distract me because when I AM INSPIRED, nothing can stop me, nothing can get in my way.  It feels like I have a superhero strength and it feels so empowering, so deeply powerful and so in tune with the universe and who I am.  For in that moment, I am inspiration and it’s running on a natural emotional power of inner wellbeing and magnetic vibrancy.

Precious Moments

Sometimes I don’t even know if I make sense but this is me trying my best to explain it in words, maybe there are no words to describe it, just a simple but special feeling that I am sure we have all connected to at some point in our life.  In these precious moments of inspiration, we are so incredibly powerful and believe we can achieve anything we put our minds to.

When inspiration captures your heart, go for it, create what ever feels right for you at that moment in time, for you don’t  know how long it will last for and you’re not so sure when it will return…..but I know it will return and the more you become inspired the more it wants to stay with you, it will keep on coming back for longer and longer periods of time and then you will create more, inspire more and turn your dreams into a reality.

To The Mountain Top

To the mountain top

Embrace the inspiration, let it guide you up to the mountain top and there you will find peace in your heart and happiness in your soul.  Share your inspiration with the world, for as you pay this love forward it will create a human wave of inspired imagination and creativity across the universe.

Have a deep faith and knowing today that inspiration will find you, love Clarabelle.

I Feel Change

I Feel Change

I feel there is change in the air and I mean fresh, purposeful, meaningful and positive change for me – I just feel it, I know it is coming, I know it and I can almost touch it!!

Where does this clear vision of change come from for me?

It comes from being on a spiritual journey, a path of natural healing, having faith and self belief, building momentum and having deep trust in the process.

How did this happen?

I made it happen, I wanted it to happen, I changed my daily habits, I changed my thinking, I worked on making me a better me, I opened my mind to a different kind of knowledge, I applied new learnings, I let my heart share its secrets and I have returned back to me, the true me that was always there but I had to find my own way of discovering it again and I did.

New Dreams

I now have new dreams, new plans, the deepest self love, genuine confidence in my unlimited potential and the courage to take on every challenge that dares to get in my way.  I am thankful for everything, my attitude of gratitude burns passionately in my soul and I feel inspired by the power of the universe to which I am in full alignment.

Yes YOU

I want to share something with all my blog followers and visitors, you have truly helped me, because you give me positive feedback and I know that I am making a difference, inspiring hearts and it has empowered me even more.  I am grateful for YOU, yes YOU reading this right now, I am so thankful for YOU and I am very blessed to have you in my life.

Embrace the Fullness of Life

I want you to feel in your heart right now the changes you want to make for yourself, see yourself in that place, envisage what it looks like right now when that change has happened for you.  Embrace the fullness of life living in that positive change, see the sun shining down upon you and feel the warmth of your awakened spirit flow through every cell of your body. Breathe in the magic of it all and dance to the happiness of the beautiful vibe surrounding you.  Now here comes a very important part –  draw it, photograph it, write it down, sing it, dance it…..create it – for everything is created twice, first in your imagination and then with your doing.  Let personal action be your best friend and hold hands together as you skip towards the fruits of your labour.  I know you are smiling now, I know you know you can make it happen for you, do something now that will move you closer to your goal.

I feel change, can you?

Much love to you today, Clarabelle

Chasing Happiness

Re-invent Yourself

I met with a wonderfully inspirational man on Sunday afternoon for coffee in Glasgow City Centre, he is a Film Maker and creative writer.  We met for about 2 hours and within that space of time I felt so inspired by his words.  He is a “go-getter”, living his dream, he wakes up every morning feeling excited, he just loves life and you can feel the power of his light shining from within.  He spoke about “Chasing Happiness” and what that meant to him….I was truly blown away!!  There is one other phrase he said that particularly stuck with me and that was “re-invent yourself”…..I loved that, because in my mind it opens up a whole new world and “I am”.  This next poem is inspired by that meeting, I do hope you are inspired by it too, love Clarabelle.

Chasing Happiness

Chasing happiness, What does it mean?

A fulfilling life, living the dream.

Waking up excited, every day,

Smiling in each moment, happiness is the way.

It all starts with you, and what you believe,

Baby steps together, will help you achieve.

No goal is too big, no challenge to high,

Chasing happiness forever, go beyond the sky.

The Extra Mile

The Extra Mile

What does it mean for you, to go that extra mile?

The work I do, it is very important to me, I love to go the extra mile and I am always thinking about how I can advance others.  Let me give you an example of how I went the extra mile this week.

I was asked a couple of weeks ago to do a half hour talk on Executive Coaching to a large Banking Organisation.  This was a marvellous opportunity for me to talk about something I am very passionate about.  I had to focus the talk from the ‘Coachee’ perspective.  So rather than me just turning up on the day and sharing a few of my own thoughts on this, I decided to “go the extra mile”.

What did I do?

I coach a lot of Directors and Seniors Leaders in Organisations so I decided to ask them what they thought i.e. “How do you get the best out of your coaching sessions?”. From the 25 people I asked, I got 20 fabulous detailed responses.  I then collated and analysed all the feedback from these clients and produced “practical application” hand out notes for the people I was going to talk to, including 50 Top Tips!!  I also approached another Coachee that I worked with in the Banking Organisation last year and asked her if I could share her coaching success story and I was delighted that she was happy for me to do this.  I then created a presentation entitled “The Coachee’s Story” based on her coaching experience and positive results.

Advancing Others

I wasn’t expected to do any of the above, I wasn’t specifically asked to do that, but I wanted to give new participants on the coaching programme the best information I could offer them.  Before I prepared any of the above, I said to myself “How can I advance these people in this short talk?”.

I did the presentation yesterday and I feel it went down very well.  I was happy that I did some special research for the talk and I feel I gave people a great start going forward. This for me was “the extra mile” stuff.

I share this with you today, because I feel if you can make a good effort at going the extra mile for people it will not only satisfy and fulfill you from within but it will also really benefit and advance others.  It also makes you a really good role model for others, they see you going the extra mile and they want to do that too.

What does going “the extra mile” mean to you?

Wishing you a wonderful day on “the extra mile”.

Love Clarabelle

To Become

Magical

I want to share a very beautiful classical piece of music with you today, created by the Italian Composer, Ludovico Einaudi, from his classical album “Divenire” meaning “to become”.  I absolutely love this classical piece, it really does connect deeply with my heart and soul – it simply sounds quite magical to me.  When I listen to this album track, I feel it takes me on a mystical journey into the deepest realms of my imagination, where faith joins hands with dreams and softly dances under the starry skies –  it moves me, it soothes me and it inspires me.  Thank you Ludovico

I encourage you to listen to this wonderful piece of musical art and whilst doing so think about this question:

What does “to become” mean to you?

I believe, that in order for you to have all that you want to have, you have to BE and DO first – in that order:

1.  Be
2.  Do
3.  Have

“To Become” my friend is your answer.

There is a star in your heart and it is twinkling at me, I can’t see it, but I can feel it, you are very special, believe that, become that.

Divine Harmony

Divine Harmony by Clarabelle
Divine Harmony by Clarabelle

Explosive

I am a great believer that creativity and imagination are two of the key components to a happy and  fulfilling life and when you combine this with truth, love, passion, inspiration and connectedness you get something that is really “explosive”, internally and externally.  I am sure we have all experienced our dancing minds playing a “tug-of-war” with our heart-strings – lately I have been letting my heart win and my inner spirit is running joyously free.

Creative Mode

Moving out of competitive mode and into creative mode has lifted my being to another level and I feel truly liberated.  This transition has led me to create the beginnings of my first ever music album, entitled “Divine Harmony”, a compilation of inspirational music that talks to your soul, sings to your heart and connects with your mind in a magnetic manner.  I have now produced 8 musical tracks so far, let me tell you a little bit about each one:

Track 1:  “Running Free” – This musical piece tells the story of “returning to your soul”, it takes you through a journey of life experiences that have went from deep sadness and loss to letting go, breaking free and arriving at who you really are.  It is ultimately upbeat and uplifting.

Track 2:  “Hearts Apart” – I wrote this musical piece based on some recent news that my Sister, Brother-in-Law, Nephew and Nieces are all emigrating to Mississippi next month.  This musical compilation tells of the heart-warming story of my deep love for them as they travel on their own journey of happiness and adventure.

Track 3:  “Moving On” – This creative piece is ultimately about love – being, doing and having love.  It is about letting go of past loves and opening your heart to new loves now and in the future.  It is a very moving and touching musical story and I had someone special in mind when writing this musical piece.

Track 4:  “Inspiring Hearts” – This track is a part of who I am, it shares the story of my passion and desire to inspire hearts all over the world.  The music aims to connect with ones soul and deeply move them in an inspirational and motivational way.

Track 5:  “Flight of the Blue Butterfly” – This musical composition tells the story of the stages of healing towards ultimate freedom of heart, soul, mind and spirit.  The blue butterfly is very significant for me and you can see it pictured as part of my Clarabelle logo.   This harmonious musical piece aims to move you in a peaceful and spiritual way.

Track 6:  “Happiness Now” – This track is a musical compilation of what it sounds like to me to experience happiness in each and every moment.  It will help you to open up your heart to the whispers of your soul and see and feel the beauty in each precious moment of life.  Beauty is all around us and this track is a unique representation of that.

Track 7:  “Coming Home” – This musical piece tells the story of my self-journey to being at one with oneself.  It shares the realisation that the answers were always there, from within.    It is a musical expression of who I am and all I ever need to be.  In this artistic creation, “I have arrived”.

Track 8:  “I Am” – This track is a musical celebration of the soul, the artistic expression of knowing that I always knew and trusting the feelings from within.  It is an uplifting and moving musical piece that will surely touch your inner being.

Clarabelle “Divine Harmony”

There will be 13 tracks in total on the album and I aim to have it fully completed by 6 May 2013.  The album will be registered and uploaded to iTunes for immediate purchase.  I will also have it available to purchase in CD format.  Purchase price is £5.00.

If you would like to pre-order a copy of this inspirational masterpiece by Clarabelle, please note your interest below in the comments section or send me an email to claire@murraypeople.com

I am so excited about sharing the album with you, I have a real belief and faith that it will inspire you on the path to “Divine Harmony“.

Lots of love to you today, tomorrow and always,  Clarabelle.

Mental Health and Poetry

Mental Health and Poetry

As of yesterday (02.4.13), I am now a fully Certified Mental Health First Aider, so what does that mean?

Mental Health First Aid, like any other type of first aid, is the help given to a person before appropriate professional help or treatment can be obtained.  First aid of any type has the following aims:

1.  To preserve life
2.  To prevent deterioration of any injury or illness
3.  To promote healing
4.  To provide comfort to the person who is ill, injured or distressed.

Mental Health First Aid is the help given to someone experiencing a mental health problem before other help can be accessed.  A MHFA is not a therapist, however, people are trained in:

  • How to ask about suicide.
  • How to recognise the signs of mental health problems or distress.
  • How to provide initial help.
  • How to guide a person towards appropriate professional help.

First Aid for Mental Health problems such as:

Alcohol and Mental Health;
Cannabis and Mental Health;
Stimulants and Mental Health;
First Aid for Suicide – using the ALGEE method of approach;
First Aid for Self-harm;
First Aid for Depression;
Alcohol and Depression;
Illegal or Recreational Drugs and Depression;
First Aid for Anxiety;
First Aid for Psychosis;
Schizophrenia;
Bipolar Disorder (manic depression).
(The above is an extract from Scotland’s Mental Health First Aider Manual)

Davina’s Poem

One of the reasons I am sharing this with you today, is that at the start of the training we were given a poem to read written by someone who used poetry as a method of communication whilst going through some challenging self harming mental health issues.  I want to share that poem with you today, it is given with kind permission from Davina Smith and it has been included in the Scotland’s Mental Health First Aider Training Manual.  Here is Davina’s poem:

Who Me?

You smoke each day
Puff your life away
You clearly know it’ll kill you

You drink with the moon
Drown your liver and soon
There’s a chance it just may kill you

You drive too fast
And what if you crash?
You know it might just kill you

You smoke your dope
Take drug, others hope
This time that they won’t kill you

You over-eat
Can’t see your feet
One day it’ll certainly kill you

You look down on me
And all you can see
Are my cuts and scratches and scars

I’m having my life
While you’re taking your life
Now tell me, who’s the self-harmer?

by Davina Smith (with kind permission)

This led onto further stories being shared by participants of the training of how young adults experiencing mental health issues used poetry to communicate their feelings with their key workers – I found this fascinating.

There is indeed a special power in poetry, I have always believed that, creative self-expression can be the breakthrough that we need to move on in life, I know I have certainly experienced that for myself.

This was a very tough training course for me, maybe because I connected so much with it.  I learned a lot and share some of this learning with you today.

May you continue to express your heart through your creative soul, because I believe that there are real people out there, who truly value and connect with your words, you just might be ultimately and positively changing a life too.

Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle

Personal Evolution

This is a blog post from an old blog of mine, I wrote this post in April 2010, 2 years prior to me starting this poetry blog.  I thought I would share this with you because it is amazing how life evolves as we grow and develop.  If someone had told me back then that I would now have a poetry blog and was so commited and passionate about it, I would never have believed them…..my creative writing desires are stronger than ever.  We are all on a journey of personal evolution, much of this will be invisible for you right now, who knows what great things you will be part of in a few years from now.  Much love to you today.  Clarabelle

Personal Evolution
Personal Evolution
Below is that original post from April 2010:
I absolutely LOVE my job but it wasn’t an easy job getting here—it took me 36 years of learning, being, doing, hoping, having, not having, feeling and experiencing the highs and lows of real life and work. It is only now that I feel wise enough and knowledgeable enough to share this experiential learning.

When I Grow UP I want to be…..
From the age of 5—15 years I went through different phases of wanting to be a Mum, Air Steward, Dancer, Model, Nun, Song Writer (I had a real desire to write the winning Eurovision song – still do!!), Primary School Teacher, Nursery Nurse and a Secretary. So where did my early career ideas come from, maybe………
Mum: Watching my mum lovingly support and care for our family; wanting to be just like my mum and also being the proud owner of various dolls such as (in its day) the famous ’Tiny Tears’.
Air Steward: Wanting a ‘glamorous’ lifestyle (perceived) and the opportunity to travel all over the world, maybe even marry a pilot!! I also think the popular TV advert for Caledonian Airlines had a big influence….I remember wanting to be a ‘Caledonian Girl’.
Dancer: I was a massive fan of the hit TV Programme ’Fame’ and loved dancing from an early age – still do 🙂
Model: Watching Miss World on TV and aspiring to be like one of these beautiful woman. I wanted to wear that crown!!!
Nun: There was a real religious influence here from my childhood days, in particular at Primary School and I went through a really ’holy’ stage—that was until I discovered my like for boys!!
Songwriter: I used to lock myself in my bedroom for hours and make up songs, I would practice and practice them all day long and never got bored of it—this was a perfect escapism for me at such a young age. To this very day I still remember the songs and so do my closet friends. We often burst into these songs after a few wines!!
Primary School Teacher: I used to babysit for my next door neighbour when I was in my early teens—I loved watching their 3 kids, probably because I could be a ‘big kid’ myself. This inspired me to want to teach young children to learn and develop—I then found out that I would need to study for a further 5 years after Secondary School and this sadly (at the time) put me off.
Nursery Nurse: Again my love for children and helping them to learn and have fun. My Guidance Teacher at Secondary School totally put me off the idea “that’s not the career for you he said, that’s not a good job”. How easily influenced I was as a teenager.
Secretary: Well I figured I would go with the safe bet and be a secretary, after all I was good at typing, passed all my Secretarial Studies exams with flying colours and oh yes my mum did that when she left school and she told me fabulous stories about her career in this field. That was it at the age of 15 I aspired to be a secretary. Well there was nothing else, was there……???
My Career Path
So I finally had come to the idea that I would be a Secretary. So I went to typing College to learn how to touch-type—this proved to be a very worthwhile skill to have during all my future jobs. What where they? Well, my career experience consists of:
Shop assistant, sales representative, hotel waitress, 20 years of various office type jobs from receptionist through to human resource management. A couple of these jobs which I liked and some others I have quite closely hated.
An Independent Decision
Then at the age of 34 I decided to think very carefully about my future career and where it was heading. Why then? Well lots of reasons I believe, but I think coming out of some personal turmoil combined with some major achievements made me a much stronger person with a really determined ‘can do’ attitude.
This included personal triumphs and goals such as Graduating from University in 2005 in Personnel Practice, running the New York marathon in 2007 (I then later did the London Marathon in 2010) and Graduating again from University in 2008 in Human Resource Management. It was in 2006/7 when I seriously reflected on my future and felt much more equipped to correctly answer the following question…….
So what do I really want to do when I grow up?
To answer this, I identified my core values and what they meant to me, I looked at what job activities I particularly enjoyed doing, I thought about what are my strengths, what was I truly passionate about doing, what excites me in life, where did I want to see myself 5-20 years from now and the ultimate question:  How was I going to get there?
I had a real belief and confidence in myself and I knew I wanted to have the freedom to explore new territories, learn new things and meet new people. I knew that I wanted to help other people achieve their dreams, goals and aspirations in life.  I wanted to coach and mentor people to do just that, I got excited about the thought of it and felt strongly passionate about it. I was truly ready for this and felt fully motivated and inspired to do so.
What did I do?
I researched into Coaching, I wrote to no less then 200 practicing coaches in America asking for their advice, I then went to New York and met some of those coaches, left my full-time job as Human Resource Manager, studied for a further year and achieved a Diploma in Coaching at Distinction level (94%), started up my own business at the end of 2008 and that’s where I am at the moment. I have BIG plans for the business and I know that I will only achieve this through hard work and commitment. To be honest, at times it feels like starting all over again—to what it was like over 20 years ago.
What have been the best parts of my job so far?
Most definitely supporting and empowering other people to achieve their dreams, goals and aspirations in life. Almost 90% of my work to date has been career/business/leadership goals related and with my Human Resource Management background and sound coaching and mentoring experience—it works very well and benefits my clients greatly.
Also being my own boss and having the freedom to use my creativity and innovation to lead the business into great things that will inspire others to achieve great things for themselves.
Personal Learning
I have learned so much over the last 17 months of my business (to date almost  5 years!!) and I feel very proud to say that I have video blogged my real time journey all along the way. My vision is that one day it will be professionally edited and shared with you at home in the format of a short film/documentary.

But………what about being a Songwriter?
Hey, I can still do that, my career ain’t over yet, it is just at the beginning—the true beginning.
******
On 29 March 2013 – Clarabelle says:
I have now had my business for almost 5 years and I still continue to love it…….I am also planning another business which is indirectly linked.  I must say however that nothing at the moment, beats the feeling of writing for this blog and getting messages from other bloggers and readers out there……you are magnificent in every sense of the word and my heart and soul is touched everyday with your responses.  I see my future in this blog and I do hope you join me on the journey.
Thank you for reading this post today, lots of love Clarabelle.

What will your answer be?

Sounds of Music

There are certain sounds of music that really touch my heart and soul one of them being the classical piano tune “Satie – Gymnopedie No. 1”, it is so very beautiful, you can listen to it on the YouTube video clip below.

Songwriter

In addition to writing poetry and expressing all things inspirational I am an avid songwriter and music producer.  When I was a child there was more evidence of me getting involved in this, I used to lock myself in my room for hours and just write songs and make up little tunes to them – I was so lost in the moment, every time I did that – it was such a wonderful feeling.  I am now gradually introducing that musical art back into my life and I aim to share it here with you on this blog…..some time soon, I hope!!

Why am I sharing this with you?

I just want you to never feel that you have completely closed the door on your childhood dreams, I have re-opened mine after more than 30 years ago…..when I compose music and write songs, I feel I am that child again, lost in spirit, lost in the music and engaged with my soul.  My heart is making the calling and I am listening to it, loud and clear.

When your heart speaks, what does it say to you?

Go on….I dare you to listen!!  What will your answer be?

Lots of love to you today, Clarabelle

Positive Mindset

Below is a post taken from one of my other blogs, I posted this one on 1 March 2010 and I thought I would share it with you on here.  Wishing you a day filled with an abundance of positive thoughts.  Love Clarabelle

Full of Character and Excitement

I was looking after my 3 year old niece the other week whilst her parents went off to pick up their new puppy dog.

I love watching my little niece she is such a funny, cheery little girl full of character and excitement. She was happily looking out of the window into my back garden when she shouted “look Auntie Claire, they’re dancing”, I asked her what was dancing and she said “the trees are dancing” and she began to copy the swaying movements of the trees blowing in the wind outside. It was so cute to watch, I smiled and I thought to myself what a truly wonderful positive perception she has on Mother Nature.

Such an Amazing “Mummy”

Later on that day I kept thinking about my niece’s words and how she could have said something completely different using a more negative connotation, but she didn’t. I then thought about my younger sister, who is such an amazing “Mummy” and how positive and happy she is. I just know that my sister’s love for nature and optimistic outlook on life has made such a positive influence on my little niece’s young life.

It made me think about how important it is for us all to choose to have a positive mindset and positive take on the world. Like in those famous lyrics sung by Whitney Houston “I believe the children are our future” – I do hope the trees stay dancing!!

Magic is in You

You are the miracle of your life, you are the magic, welcome it with open arms, embrace each moment as an opportunity to be a better version of you.  This next inspirational quote by me is all about that.  Wishing you a magical day, love Clarabelle.

Magic is in You
Magic is in You

“The silent lake speaks many words,

true magic comes from within you.”

(Clarabelle)

Opportunity is Now

Every moment is a moment to change for the better, that is what this inspirational quote by me is about.  Don’t wait for opportunities to knock on you door, go out create opportunities for yourself, make it happen, just do it!!  You owe it to yourself to step outside of your comfort zone and move into your stretch zone, go on do it now because opportunity is indeed NOW!!  Lots of love to you, Clarabelle

Opportunity is Now
Opportunity is Now

“Seize, the day,

Seize the hour,

Seize the moment……

Opportunity is NOW!”

(Clarabelle)

My Soul is Free

I am thinking about my happy childhood today, so I decide to take a snapshot memory from one of these true moments and share it with you today.  Release the child inside of you, just for a moment, just for today, be that child once more, it feels so loving and carefree.  Lots of love, Clarabelle.

My Soul is Free

My Soul is Free

I am 8 years old, I am playing in the swing park and look up to the pretty red sky on a sweet summers night. I see a million lights sparkling in the distance, like the most precious jewels I have ever seen, they mesmerize me.  It feels like I am in a hypnotic state, my heart feels happy, my soul is free, I dream, I visualise my future….

“I’ll be there one day”, I say;

Where?….

Here, right now, I can be there any moment of any day, for my childlike imagination, can take me there.  Whenever I want to go there and without physical travel, I can instantly be there.

Where is there?

There is “Happiness” my friend, Happiness is my home and my heart has always lived there.

Now….what is now?

It’s almost 4am, I haven’t slept yet, I hear the birds chirping outside, they sound very happy indeed….I have this urge to write, not sure what will come out of my soul at these early hours of the morning but here goes……my heart speaks to you.  Much love and light to you today, Clarabelle.

Now...what is now?
Now….what is now?

Now…what is now?

Now….what is now?  I smile;

Peace, love, openness, for a while.

Moved by hearts, touched with care;

Self-expression, take me there.

And if I go, if my time has come;

I know my journey has helped someone.

They write to me, tell me it all;

The footprints of my friends, walking tall.

For in this moment now, I’m alive inside;

Filled with hope, beaming with pride.

You’re never alone, in this physical space;

I hear your cry, I see your face.

The wonders of the world, mesmerize me;

My mind has stopped thinking, the heart is the key.

So hold onto your hat, as the wind blows your way;

Challenges are a plenty, but tomorrow is not today.

Embrace the music, sing the song;

Be at one in this moment, it’s where you belong.

Love….what is love?

Here are my thoughts on love, put into an inspirational quote for YOU.  Much love to you today, Clarabelle.  Wishing you a fulfilling day filled with pure love.

Love is...
Love is….

“Love is the pure essence of life,

without love, we are empty inside”.

(Clarabelle)

Your Soul is Beautiful

I love inspirational quotes, below is an inspirational quote created by me for YOU….because, your soul is truly beautiful!!  Much love to you today, Clarabelle.

Inspirational Quote
Your Soul is Beautiful

“Your soul is beautiful,

let it radiate warmth

and melt worries away.”

(Clarabelle)

Follow Your Heart

It’s Okay To Feel Vulnerable

One of my coping mechanisms for releasing frustrations is to write poetry from my heart and soul.  This next poem was created at a time when I was feeling a little stressed out and frustrated with myself and I know we’ve all been there, sometimes too often!!  The purpose of me sharing this with you is because I feel through my own creative self-expression, there is much encouragement, support and positivity shining through, which may help you if you’re going through a similar experience right now.  I want you to know that it is okay to feel vulnerable at times, actually, I believe now that showing vulnerability is often a real strength of integrity and authenticity.  Give yourself permission to be who you really are, silence the overwhelmed mind and follow your heart.  May you take comfort and courage from the following verse.  Much love to you, Clarabelle.

Follow Your Heart
Follow Your Heart

Follow Your Heart

I feel frustrated, but no one knows;

How up and down I feel, but on the inside it shows.

So I take a time out, it’s time to express;

These random thoughts, are a bit of a mess.

But my mind feels strong, I prepared for it well;

The stresses keep coming, but I’m not in hell.

There is one part in balance, so I never fall;

Even though the ground is shaky, I’m walking tall.

I believe that this, pain will go;

I’ve built up an inner resistance, no matter what life does throw.

It’s teaching me something, and breaking old rules;

Changing me for the better, giving me new tools.

So I can mend, myself for good;

Uplifting my spirits, brightening my mood.

So when life gets you down, as it sometimes will;

You can create the way out – minus the pill.

Shine from within, follow your heart;

Your new life is waiting, soon you’ll never be apart.

Keep a Strong Mind

Life Throws Us Many Challenges

Life throws us many challenges and sometimes just when you think you’ve got a little closer to the mountain top, darkness falls and fears and frustrations kick in.  No one said life was ever going to be easy, but we must remember there are many things in life to be grateful for right now.  Having an attitude of gratitude will become your inner torch, and will fill up your soul with an abundance of love and light.  This next poem was written by me, during a challenging time in my life and my self expression through my poetry, at times, was my saving grace.  I now share this with you in the hope that it will help you in some way to move forward regardless of the barriers that are in your way.  Much love to you today and always, Clarabelle.

Keep a Strong Mind

Too many things, so much to do;

One day feeling bright, the other feeling blue.

At this age now, I look life in the eyes;

Where am I going?  Where’s the surprise?

It’s gone a bit stale, I feel the dust;

I need to take action, this is a must.

The mountain is high, and the weather is bleak;

I must keep a strong mind, even though I feel weak.

Trudge, trudge, every step up the hill;

Moves me closer, this dream I will fulfill.

To escape in my imagination, makes me feel free;

It uplifts my spirits, like the wind’s carrying me.

For I come alive, when I write through my soul;

It opens the straight jacket, and fills up the black hole.

There are no boundaries, no pain my way;

The creativity is flowing, I’m listening to what I say.

It feels like magic, the words they come fast;

Meaningful moments, inspiration that lasts.

This feels easy, as I explore deep inside;

The experiences I hold, come in like the tide.

This I must do, it’s where I feel best;

Forget the distractions and let my mind just rest.

For here I find peace, just the silence and me;

My world is not empty, when I just be.

Today I Was Stuck

Moving from ‘Stuck’ to ‘Unstuck’

We’ve all had days when we feel a little bit ‘stuck’ and I include myself here, after all we are only human.  It is possible for you to go from stuck to unstuck within moments and I believe the process for this is different for every person.  When I created the poem below I was feeling in a ‘stuck’ place, but by the time I had finished the poem, I had moved to unstuck…the answer came from within and when I was in ‘creative flow’. What will you do today to help you move from a feeling of being ‘stuck’ to ‘unstuck’? There is a way, there is always a way, silence your mind, open your heart and let the answers flow.  Much love to you, Clarabelle.

Today I Was Stuck
Moving from Stuck to Unstuck

Today I Was Stuck

It’s nearly midnight, and I’m lying in bed;

I think of my inaction, before I rest my head.

Today I was stuck, I didn’t play the game;

Life got the better of me, unleash this chain.

Many brick walls, are in my way;

Built up by me, getting higher each day.

I kick and I punch, the battle is in me;

I’m fighting myself, this I can see.

So what do I do, to turn this around?

Inside is the answer, this I have always found.

Let go of the fight, it’s not a war anymore;

Staring at these four walls, will not open the door.

Step outside, breathe in the air;

Replenish your spirit, feel the wind in your hair.

Dust yourself down, and put a smile on your face;

Slowly walk down the path, and gradually pick up the pace.

To master the mind, it not about control;

Release that desire, and you’ll discover your soul.

Silence is golden, connect to the now;

The answers will come, and then you’ll know how.

Painting with Words

I love creativity, I love imagination, I love self-expression, I love painting with words. I feel this is where I belong, it feels like home to me, I feel I’m connected to another source when all of these come together and I know I am not the only one who feels this way when in artistic mode.  This next poem in inspired by that.  I wish for you a day where you do things that you love.  Much love to you, as always, Clarabelle.

Painting with Words

I write these words, there’s no stopping me;

Late at night, the moon shines on what is to be.

It fills up my senses, with pure delight;

Awakens my spirit, all through the night.

There’s no escaping, the beauty of this soul;

It flows so abundantly, fills up the black hole.

Painting with words, is like treasure in my hand;

A princess of all princesses, welcome to my land.

Passion Keeps You Strong

To all my fellow bloggers, passion keeps you strong;

Expressions from your heart, that’s where you belong.

Creativity flows, when your soul talks to you;

Mesmerized in the moment, defining what you do.

I hear your calling, I feel it in your words;

The writing is on the wall, beneath the flight of birds.

Magic comes from you, you’re mystical for sure;

Your posts are like gold dust, to your audience they are so pure.

Forever Inspiring

I put my car into the garage this morning to get some much needed repairs done and on the way back I popped into the local cafe for a coffee and a scone, before the 3 mile trek back home.  I always take my writing pad with me everywhere I go, because you never know when a creative moment will take over!!  In the space of 20 minutes I was on my third poem, I just couldn’t stop writing. . . . .which was truly wonderful for me, I love it when that happens.  This next poem is the third poem I wrote from my short time being in the coffee shop, I think it may resonate with all of you creative writers out there. Wishing you a magical day.  Lots of love Clarabelle

Forever Inspiring

Just one more poem and I’m on my way

The ‘creative flow’, wants to stay

I sip my coffee and write some more

One by one, words dance through the door

Handwriting gets faster, I’m lost in time

People come and go, I continue to rhyme

Focus is strong, it’s a powerful force

It comes from within, my heart is the source

I savour this moment, so special and true

Forever inspiring, this poem is for you
